Stopped in for bait on the way to Dale Hollow. This place is a gem. Breakfast smelled so good we had to have it. The STAFF was AMAZING. The food was FAST and good. Can’t wait to stop back in for shaved ice or an ice cream. The locals are lucky to have such a cool store. Thanks for the great service!

This place is a staple for Burksville KY. To have a place that serves a home cooked breakfast and not charge a arm and a leg is few and far between. You walk in place an order and sit down, don't be shy share the large family table with some of the locals. What a great experience where you can go back in time if even a glimpse. The chocolate gravy is killer, the french toast is even better. If you are not pulling up to this place on your way home from the lake your missing out.

This place is super busy as soon as it opens. This is a local favorite breakfast and lunch spot that also opens early and has live bait. It's right on Hwy 61 OTW to Dale Hollow/Cumberland River access points. The name would make you think this may be an actual bait shop, but it is a diner with a limited but appreciated small selection of some bits and bobs you may need for fishing. We did have the biscuits and gravy when we stopped for minnows. It was as good as Grandma's. Really nice folks too. Not a ton of seating or parking- both always in demand. It's worth a stop if you're near Burkesville, KY.

Stopped at Shell today because I was in a hurry ended up paying a little over $10 for one drink and an order of chicken strips, meanwhile the baitshop offers 2 orders of biscuits and gravy, a order of chicken strips & a drink at the same price
