Disgusting!!! I will never again step foot in this store again. I called about the cat food I purchased last night (11-26-2023) having bugs on it, you could tell the packing was very old, and the manager was very nonchalant! Watch what you buy from this location, especially the cat food!! I also never received a call back from customer service!

Not good. Took my Westie to be groomed. I had signed up online for basic bath and cut package. The girl (purple hair, nose ring) asked me about additional services and I was very clear, I did not want them. No smelly shampoos or additional services. When I picked my dog up she had added 19.00 of additional services. When I inquired, she said it was for nail buffing and scissor cut. I requested neither of these. Yes, the dog must have scissor cut around her face. It is her breed. This is part of the haircut and should not be an additional charge. The girl refused to remove it from my bill. I paid it. The girl at checkout said to call next week and talk to manager. Girl with purple hair and nose ring knows that she added services without permission...who knows she may have charged me for services and did nothing. Believe me the cut was below average and my dog did not seem happy when I picked her up. That tells me she was not handled with the care that I expect from a professional dog groomer. I will call manager next week to try and get 19.00 refunded. This has been my worst experience with a groomer ever. That girl should be fired. She knows exactly what she did. Guess she must be so desperate to meet some type of quota that she thinks it is okay to rip customers off.

Took my dog to the groomers here & they managed to lose her….. My dog is now gone and we have not been able to find her for hours. Evidently “the new girl” didn’t latch her kennel door and they said my dog managed to just get out of an enclosed area. They had no idea how my dog was able to leave a room with the door shut but she somehow opened this door according to this logic & ran out the front door undetected. They shut the store down temporarily and went looking but not for long. I have included a pic of my dog. If anyone in the Bowling Green area has seen her please notify the humane society as they have helped us look for her all night. Please reconsider sending your dog here.

July 23rd, I went to get fish for my fish tank. I observed probably 100-150 dead fish. This is ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Workers were up front talking at the register. I was never greeted and never asked if anyone could help me. I left without any fish and will not be back.

Editing my 5 star rating from a few months ago. Then, customer service was amazing and very help. Now, very rude. At least one was. We wanted to buy more fish and a larger tank as well. The "female" helping us refused because we have a 3 gallon tank at home when we were gonna buy a 5 gallon today. Very short and rude and refused us a sale. Will not purchase anything from here again .

You have to be really careful to check expiration dates on everything at this store. I've had multiple instances where I've gone in there for food or treats and find a bunch of expired items. They really should hire someone just to go through the stock for expired items. I went there for a certain bag of dog food and it was 18 months expired, not just a few weeks. I feel bad for any pets who actually get fed the almost 2 year expired food because their owners trust the store to be checking the expiration dates.

Made an appointment to have my 4.5 month old puppy groomed. Had shot record in hand. Appointment was at 1:30pm. Arrived and had to wait for 10 mins before someone came to check us in. No one told be it was a requirement for Oddie to have a rabies shot before at 16vweeks before they could groom him. We were traveling through from a state that currently is still cold to a climate that was hot for Oddie hence the grooming appointment. Didn't mind the wait but the girl that finally waited on us (purple hair with piercings) was extremely rude. Smart mouth and impatient. Almost like she didn't want to work. Never going to Petco Again.

We came for puppy training with Haley and got there at 3:00 on Friday and was told that she was not going to make it in and was not notified. Was pretty unhappy about that but on the plus side y'all did make about 50 something dollars from me. And this was supposed to be our first class. It is now Monday and still haven't heard anything from Petco or Haley

Had our dog groomed here for $80 not including the tip we gave and we still had to give him a good brush afterwards. If your dog has an undercoat I wouldn't recommend coming here, because whether due to laziness or what lack of knowledge they are not thorough here. This is a good place for nail trimming though, because it's walk in and they are quick.Additionally, while some cashiers are really lovely here, others will just stare at you and not offer a smile or greeting when cashing you out (unsure if this is race related, but such is the South generally anyway).

They are definitely the chain store location most knowledgeable about the care of fish, and offer a wide selection of quality breeds. The only shortcoming is that they offer very few aquatic medications.

Bought a fairly expensive oc gladiator morph clown and as soon as we left, it started dying in the car home. I live 5 minutes away. I drop acclimated from my ESTABLISHED tank with 10+ fish and inverts in it and it died after 30 mins. PETCO WILL NOT REPLACE THE FISH, STORE CREDIT, REFUND. NOTHING. DO NOT BUY SALTWATER FISH FROM PETCO.

Mathew at this store was fantastic! Very patient very informative. We came in for anything from a new fish to a whole new tank set up. He let us know where we went wrong and walked out with a whole new tank set up for the right amount of fish we wanted! And this employee Mathew helped six other customers other then us in fish alone. Thank you so much Mathew! FYI don’t go to Lebanon Petco.

I went to get a 50% off aquarium, the store looked great, there was a lot of aquariums not bo top for the one I was looking for. When I went to checkout the employees upfront looked exhausted and done with the day. They look like they just went through one of the worst days and had given up on hope. I felt bad for them, I don't know what your(as a company) paying them but they need a raise. The employees upfront although done with the day, still cracked a smile and answered my questions. I will return to this store, hopefully next time they will have more help and better days.

We were looking for a new dog toy and a tag for our dog. The selection was great! When we got to the register, the cashier never said hello, not thank you, nothing you'd expect with good customer service. Just rang us up, and handed us our bag and told is where the tag code was. Great store, subpar customer service.

Bought an aquarium and stand here because they were having a 50% off sale on tanks. The guy at the register wouldn't look up from his cell phone to speak to us. Another employee was hesitant in helping us and was put out that we needed help loading our car. So, we put the aquarium and stand in the car and instead of going back in there for accessories we went down the road to Pet Central and spent another $250 on filter, lid, gravel, and decorations. 🤷♂️ BTW: The PetCo in Glasgow is a great store that we shop often.

I bring my Yorkie Chihuahua mix (Zeus) every-time he needs a grooming and grooming has always been good. I decided to try a fresh dog food dispute the expensive price of it because he doesn’t seem to eat dry food as much as he should. I bought a small bag of freshpet vital grain free and he seemed to love it. However after the second day he became very sick with diarrhea and vomiting. He wouldn’t play and ran a fever for two days and wouldn’t eat or drink. I stopped feeding him that food and thought a few days later (when he felt better) I would try a little at a time to see if he would switch. I put a small amount in his bowl and noticed a really fowl smell. I look in the bag and it had a sell by date of 8/15/2023 and I bought it on 8/24/2023. I called and told them if he became sicker I would give them the vet bill for selling food almost 2 weeks past the sell date not to mention the price on it. His reply was “whatever” so this petco does not care for their customers. I’ll go where they do care and they actually throw out fresh dog food and not try to sell it 2 weeks after the sell by date. If I find my receipt for the food and the the grooming (paid separately) I will bring the soured smell dog food to them with the receipt and get my money back. Maybe I won’t get a “whatever” then. If the guy is there I spoke with on the phone. He will have a bad day when I’m finished.

Great place great resources if you love your animals had a great deal on cat food the natural science heel something like that. It's done wonders for my cat highly recommended you get a really good a price there and they also price match not just their websites but other places as well as long as it's legit. Friendly service highly recommended all the way around you can't go wrong and they offer great suggestions on things for your family member.

I’m disappointed I tried getting a cat. The first one they said was adopted after the fact with no sign then, the second cat they made me wait 24 hours to get the cat. I call at noon the next day like I was told and they said they had no cats for adoption. I had no issues with anything because, I have my own house I don’t have a landlord and I have no kids and I just wanted a cat. What else do I have to do to get one? Lol 😂

I purchased a parakeet 6 months ago and the wings were not clipped. This week I purchased two parakeets and the wings were clipped. You clip wings for your convenience with no consideration for the bird. Wing clipping means the bird has to climb the cage walls, and fall often. How would you like it to have you hands chopped off. I will publish your cruel wing clipping policy in as many forms of publication as possible constantly until you stop clipping wings on a national basis. I have spent many hundreds of dollars in your stores but never again.

I just love my local PetCo!!! The staff are so amazing and helpful and they finally have people there that understand fish and how they relate to their tank mates and I’ve noticed the staff giving much better advice to customers on how to create a safe functioning peaceful biosphere …

Was clean & shelves were stocked. Employees were nice & very helpful & they went out of the way to help us find what we needed but apparently what we needed can only be bought from vet or online with Rx from Petco. But was very thankful that they were helping us bc I was thinking I kept missing it for some reason. So was glad we figured out what was goin on though.
