Dollar General Stores are my Walmart. Would much rather shop here than WalMart.

I like that we have a DG close to home. Sometimes I can score pretty good deals on things. There are certain groceries that are expensive but a lot are reasonable. The aisles are narrow and packed pretty full but there's stuff waiting to be put on shelves just out... the employees are hit n miss with their level of niceness.

I’m in the store a lot. It’s neat and clean. Usually has what I need. But I can not figure out why they have two cash registers if the second one is never open. Nine times out of ten that I’m in this store there is a line and a wait to check out. Today for example, there were at least six people in line behind me and two in front of me. There was one clerk on one register. One lady was noticeably irritated by the line as soon as she walked in the store. This has happened multiple times. And this time, there was another employee in the office telling the clerk on the register what to do from the office. Why couldn’t they have came out and helped him with the customers?

Nice store in overall appearance. The associates are really nice and friendly and helpful but I'm giving the store 3stars due to the manager. I don't remember his name but he's a bigger guy and every time I've gone into this DG he follows me around and watches me every moment I'm there. This was even before the covid19 so I wasn't wearing a mask. Take a look at my profile picture and you can see I take care of myself and dress nicely most of the time. Now I do have tattoos on my arms and so do some of my friends that have gone in there with me. I'm also a combat war vet with 8 years of service and I hold 2 college degrees in computer science and computer engineering. Now I'm not a shoplifter or anything like that so he has absolutely no reason whatsoever to be following me like he does. I've never given him a reason to follow me either. I've never complained about anything there, never was rude or anything. This all started my first time in the store. I go to lots of DG stores in the area and they are all amazing, now I do know several of the Managers around the area also because my mother use to manage a few of the stores around here so needless to say I've gotten to know a few, a couple of them I will go to their store specifically because they are working so I can say Hi and as I usually try to do get a few laughs from them. But this is the only store and the only Manager or even employee that I've ever had an issue with. This guy really urkes me with his constant stare. Hell I've even been offered a manager position before in my hometown but passed it up for a GM position at a very nice restaurant. Oh yeah I also have 10+ years of management experience and I have never treated anyone like that. If he thinks I'm trying to steal something then he needs to stop me and confront me so I can tell him what I think.

I love the dollar store. They usually have a out anything you need. You can run in grab it and get out in no time and they have people who know what they are doing at the registers. That is a big plus and they are friendly

When I asked about the $5 digital coupon if it was applied, the clerk said yes, it will come off. It didn’t and had to spend a lot of time waiting to be refunded and re rung up. Smh

Clean. Organized. Wide variety of items. Not all dollar generals are the same.Quick food pick up for something you forgot or snacks.

Great sales associate .. clean, well stocked store .. I use my own cloth shopping bags and clerk happily accommodated me.
