Updated review and revising to a 2 star from a 1: (see original review below). The technician has reached out and has been very apologetic for the end result. He also tried to make things right for the dissatisfaction by refunding the service charge, which is not required since he did come out and perform the examination of the heater, so it would be unfair to accept a refund. I understand where he is coming from given that he believes the heater was truly on its last legs, even though it is still working fine for heating and we use it daily after I put it back together. The assumption was probably that I'd just want another heater and make it happen, and so putting this one back together was pointless. However, that isn't the case and I am still using it as needed.Original Review:Paid $175 service fee to have them come damage my heater apparently.I don't want to rate all of Decker Services poorly, but it is worth noting that if you are looking for pool heater service, you should probably go elsewhere. I am giving them 1 star, but it is worth noting that they did respond to my calls and were timely. However, the technician came out to check out the issue (it smelled a little strong of gas) and said I'd need an entirely new heater. I'm not mad at the result, but that he then said "do you want me to put it back together?" That made me suspicious. Upon examining the heater afterwards, it was suddenly exhausting out of the sides due to being put back together incorrectly, panels were bent on both sides of the heater, and there were loose screws sitting in the access panel. There was even a screw drilled into the plastic side panel where no screw should be. I presume it was drilled in there because it was a spare and he didn't want it to look like there were any spares. I called Decker Services a few weeks ago and a nice gentleman said he'd get my complaint straight to the managers, but I heard nothing back. Since I haven't heard back, I assume the matter is closed and this review is worth putting here.

UPDATE: Changed my rating because I was reached out to after my review and the damage was fixed. It turns out there had been a tech out to our home, however neither the office nor myself was aware of that. Regardless, I appreciate the follow-up and I'm very thankful the issue is fixed now!If I was just rating the experience of getting the quote, it would easily be five stars. However, for a fence that cost $4,000 to install to have a gate latch malfunctioning within 8 months? And after calling the office 3 different times in the last two months, not a single thing has been done. I'm basically being told I'm low priority and it's led to the fence now being permanently damaged not even ONE YEAR after it was installed. I hate giving reviews like this.

Offers NO warranty on their work despite claiming so on their site. Unable to give me a copy of the warranty after refusing to fix shifted fence posts. Had multiple issues from the start after the fence was installed and a history of contacting them about issues. $6500 down the drain and I was told by another fence company that they have "fixed" several fences from Decker. Couldn't be happier with Decker services. They actually showed up to give an estimate, were extremely competitive on price and were able to get the fence installed within a couple weeks. Other companies never showed up to give an estimate and the ones that did were 4-6 weeks before they could even start. Decker also cleared out a fence row for me and did an excellent job not only clearing but hauling the brush off. CJ kept me informed of the progress and plan frequently. Would definitely recommend.

We had several quotes on putting a fence around our backyard. We chose to go with Decker Services based on the integrity displayed by this company. It was an excellent decision and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the end result. They showed up when they said, and completed the job quickly and efficiently. this company deserves 0 stars. We payed $13,000.00 for a fence which was not assembled properly and didn’t have enough cement. Our entire fence was destroyed from wind after only being up for 6 months. When I called them they sent someone out to examine it and they had confirmed that it was poorly built so they offered that they will fix it for free. THEN they call back and said the person who examined it doesn’t know what they’re talking about and that we will actually have to pay for them to fix it after all. I expressed how upset I was that they agreed to fix it for free and are then changing their mind which is very unprofessional, and then the man who actually does the fence got on the line and started screaming at me and then hung up on me. What kind of a man argues with a woman. What a stressful and horrible experience I hope nobody else has to experience this

Decker Services is a incredible blend of integrity, professionalism, value and punctuality. It was so refreshing to work with Shadwick Simmons (co-owner). He took great care in helping me evaluate options for a pool fence. Upon contacting Decker by phone, I was greeted warmly and a appointment was scheduled for me the next business day. Shad arrived and spent over a hour assessing needs and giving me options. The fact he was upfront about variety of options (some options which were DIY) was incredibly honorable and a sign of intense integrity. Shadwick followed up same day with competitive pricing on fencing and responded immediately to questions. It's clear to me Decker is looking to build long term clients and not a "transactional outlet". They take great pride in the quality of their work and go out of there way to make sure clients are taken care of regardless of short-term profit motive for Decker. I plan to work with Decker for all my fencing needs and take advantage of the variety of other services they offer. I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to do so because it is unusual in this day to get high quality service from stand-up individuals. You won't go wrong going with Decker.

I was very pleased with the quality of service from TJ when he installed my fence. Over all Decker Services gave me a very competitive quote and completed my job in a timely manner even with poor weather conditions.
