When back in my mountain home, I always know what to expect when I see the Velocity sign.You might be able to find cheaper, yes. You might be able to find more brands, yes. But to have a local grocer in the mountains that stocks a broad range of great items? Amazing. My mouth fell open when I saw that they stock kimchi now!Velocity has always been great.The deli people are on point as well.

This being the closest grocery store near me I have no choice but to frequent this establishment more than I'd ever want too, with that being said I very much dislike this store for many reasons so I'm going leave a list with the hopes that someone might have some sense and correct some glaring problems1. The cashiers are incredibly rude for no reason in the slightest.2. The store is not as clean or upkept as it probably should be.3. The prices are beyond outrageous.4. The place is presented as a mom & pop but never has the friendly atmosphere or hometown vibe like one.( I believe that this store would do alot better if they played more towards that)5. The store only hires women for the front and men for stock, which incredibly dated and oldfashioned.I will say two good things and one is that the meat department is actually very good they always have the freshest meats available, the second is that the grocery carry out is very outstanding and I love seeing elderly people get help that they normally wouldn't get at big chain establishments.

It's a local grocery store..it has good things like meat. Friendly service. It's usually not crowded.. it's right off the four Layne. easy shopping n convenient...love it

If you don't need much and don't like long lines this is a great place for groceries. The selections are small but they cover most of the essentials. Everyone is always nice.

Best little grocery store in Eastern Kentucky, super fresh meat that no other store can beat. I would suggest you stop by and check out what they have or ask the butcher to cut what you want. T-bones is what I always get cut

Every time I come in the cashiers are beyond rude and stuck up! The management is sexist by hiring only women cashoers and male stockes. All arpund this place needs improvement.

Not only did I find everything I needed, I found the prices were cheaper here than anywhere else I had shopped. Friendly cashiers made everything easy for me when checking out.
