A very nice experience for a family to view. Everything is handmade. The pricing is very high and the gallery is not shy. Lol! They absolutely try to take advantage of their location. It would be refreshing to see a reasonably priced art center that let artists actually sell to a community. There is a variety of items availableThe artistry is quite good. I would say that rethinking the situation would be beneficial. I didn't see anyone buying and it was quite crowded. My family would have readily purchased something but simply couldn't.

Had A wonderful visit here. We walked through the gallery and enjoyed talking with the employees. They were all very nice. There are some very nice pieces in the gallery. I will be back. If you are nearby drop in and relax and browse through.

This place is amazing! So many unique gifts and student made pottery that is absolutely beautiful! An absolute must see if you are visiting Berea.

Love this craft shop showcasing the work of all sorts of local Kentucky crafters. The shop is on the campus of the amazing Berea College and is staffed by students as part of the college’s work program. Berea College Student Craft products such as handmade brooms are also available for purchase here. Street parking only.

Beautiful stuff, but the ladies working couldn't even answer my questions or find the mugs they have advertised all mugs upstairs for a 10$ sale. False advertising there are no 10$ mugs there they are all 30-50$.

Huge gallery. Two floors. Almost everything inside is top notch. If you're in Berea it's one of the places you have to check out. Everything from paintings to hand crafted furniture and cabinets.

Holy cow expensive. Some of the crafts are made by students and locals and some is just regular stuff you can get off amazon. All of it $$$$. Very cute space and shop though. They had instruments, glassware, toys, yard decorations and other gift stuff.

A little bit of everything in this local craft shop. Quality is high, so the prices lean that way too. There are some very affordable items, however, if you’re looking for something special to bring back for someone. Don’t forget to check out the upstairs which has outdoor items as well as some unique office and table top art. Keep in mind, there is local and student art here as well, so it is well worth a look!

Unique, eclectic collection of craft items, with a variety of prices. You can afford to buy something, and its probably the place to get that really special item on which you dont mnd the splurge! I love the framed mirrors (as indicated in the pic), especially the ones with the delicate pops of mother-of-pearl inlay! But they are upwards of a thousand-and-change dollars!

I have lived in Berea my entire life and have always loved the lig cabin gift shop. Prices are reasonable and the hand made crafts are beautiful! Don't pass this up if you visit Berea.

Recently bought some kitchen items from Log House gallery and they are amazing. I get so many compliments on them, especially the hand hewed spoons and walnut cutting board. Thank you for the great products, I know I will have them for a long time. I will always come back.

The Log House is a "must see" in downtown Berea. While basically a gift shop, it offers the best quality craft products carefully designed and displayed by artists in the area. It has expanded its offerings to include more food items and prominent brands like Blenko glass. Personally, though, I prefer more jewelry and wood crafts and less food and kitchen brand partnerships.

This shop has a wonderful collection of quality handmade items, many made by the students of Berea College. The sales of the items help fund scholarships for students from Appalachia - a fact that i include when I give a wedding gift from the store. I am a big fan of what this college continues to accomplish as they educate students academically and also have them learn a skill ranging from pottery making to running a hotel. (The school’s historical hotel is walking distance from the log house store.). Berea is delightful town that is one of my favorite places to visit. If you go, I highly recommend lunch at the hotel then stop at the shops on the way to the log house. From there ask for directions to the art district (a short drive away). I’ll definitely return once Covid is under control.

Beautiful store from top to bottom. Gift prices range from a few dollars to over a thousand dollars and it's hard to find something not beautiful or functional. Workers were students from the college and were able to answer all questions I had. Bathrooms available. Will definitely return.

The gallery was undergoing inventory when I was in Berea in January so I had the opportunity to swing by on my way home from summer travels and spent a pleasant 2+ hours. Though I certainly found plenty to purchase I was suprised at the amount of non-Kentucky /Appalachia crafts in the gallery. I'm a collector of Wallace Nutting prints and was suprised to learn of his relationship with Berea. I was particularly interested in seeing pieces of his furniture donation and pictures. I was hugely disappointed in the gallery room display of the articles. Its presentation was more like an afterthought and a flea market room.
