I’ve used Companion for a few years. I have never had a major issue until my dog was taken in for annual shots recently. The office staff and techs are always kind, professional, and helpful. I wish I could say the same for Dr. Jaco. He ripped large chunks of my dog’s hair out trying to get her to be still, and only offered a response that he “usually grabs their tail, but she doesn’t have one”. No sympathy nor professionalism was shown. With all of that considered, I paid over $400 for nothing more than annual shots and one dose of flea and tick medication. I will not be back and do not recommend.

Our pets have always had excellent care. No unnecessary procedures. Vets are easy to talk to about what is required and what is not. Plus, we've been seen during a small emergency; our pet was seen quickly and without fuss. Not inexpensive.

Dr. Jaco is kind, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable! He actually still cares about our furry friends! I have found this not to be the case with some other animal clinics I have encountered over the last few years. I travel a lot (with all of my babies); therefore, in an emergency situation, I must choose a clinic along the way. I DO & WILL continue to recommend Companion Animal Hospital to everyone in need of a place to feel comfortable bringing their loved ones!

I absolutely love the Vet and staff at Companion Animal Hospital. They are always friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable for animal care which is very important now days. If you are looking for a new vet/clinic, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jaco and his clinic.

I had trouble with my cat lois(lulu). So I called companion and they got her in right away, they new what was wrong with her and got her fixed up right away. The staff was very nice and helped me a lot. I will be using them for all my animal's can't say enough good things about them.

I will never take any of my pets back to this place ever again after how Jaco spoke to me and my husband the night our precious dog died. No compassion whatsoever. Handled the phone call very unprofessionally. The staff is also not very compassionate, in my opinion.

Everyone at Companion Animal Hospital was helpful, honest and friendly. My dog has many health issues and other vets have taken advantage of that. But Dr Jaco and staff told me exactly what my dog needed and did not pile on extra services. Very happy with our visit, and I highly recommend them for your pet(s).

Wow! What a fantastic experience we had today with Dr. Jaco and his wonderful staff. This was our 1st visit. We have 3 labs and even as a new patient we were able to get right in to have our chocolate girl treated for a UTI. Top level service and so caring! Thanks to all of you. Highly recommend! I have a senior dog with special needs and he can’t travel far. I’m so grateful to have a caring vet close to home. Every person here is nice, knowledgeable, honest, and thoughtful. John always takes his time to help and is great with my dog. Thankful for their care during this tough time with my dog. My mom also brings her dog here. Great animal hospital all around!

I’m shocked… we’ve been coming here since we moved to Kentucky and never really had an issue. Today we went in to have my dog checked for a false pregnancy. She’s not spayed yet but we intended on spaying her after the next heat… she’s only 2 years old. The nurses were wonderful and so was the tech. Jaco on the other hand was extremely unprofessional. He interrupted me and treated our entire encounter like he was in a rush. He was rude and his behavior was completely uncalled for. Even the tech in the room seemed shocked at his behavior. Needless to say we won’t be coming back and her spay procedure will be completed elsewhere.

The quality of care here is exceptional. The staff is very friendly and always waiting to assist you as soon as you walk thru the door. I have had pets for my whole life, but when I started to bring my animals to Dr Jaco after my move, I realized I had found the most exceptional, top-notch veterinarian I had ever met. This clinic and it’s staff are rockstars!

When I moved back home, I was referred to Dr. Jaco. I could not be any more happy with him and his office staff. He explains everything in detail and spends all the time I need for questions I might have. I highly recommend him. You will know that your pets are receiving the best of care in western Kentucky.

Took my sons dog that stays at his mother's house. She couldn't afford alot, the main vet guessed at what was wrong with their pup and its doing way better. Very much appreciated, especially for my son!

I love this clinic. Responsive, caring, knowledgeable, etc, etc! I love that Dr. Jaco is direct and has a get it done attitude! Our babies love him! I’ve lived in 4 different states and had vets every place I lived and I’ve had some great ones but Dr Jaco is on the top of the list.

Doesn’t care about the animals. Would not treat my seizing dog because my husband was upset. Told us to get out. Then called vet up the road so they wouldn’t help us. Completely disrespectful. Feel sorry for his staff. One even said they didn’t want to ask because he was in a bad mood. Could have lost our girl. Luckily another vet took good care of us and actually cares for the babies.
