Couldn’t imagine anyone better since Joey passed to run Minter & Moore Vet than Dr Moore. Our 7 month old basset hound was attacked by another dog a couple of weeks ago. And after an expensive visit to the emergency vet in Richmond and almost giving up hope, I contacted Dr Moore’s office with our dog on his death bed. He immediately said yes and said he would try to save him. Within two days our dog was up walking and eating (he hadn’t ate in a week at that point). Today he got to come home. I can’t thank Dr Moore enough for the time and dedication he put into our dog. I don’t think there’s a better vet in Eastern Kentucky at this point!

They are so sweet here the vet is very knowledgeable and kind. There is more than one doctor here also! I recommend this office to all my friends. I had a very hard decision to make about my dog's health. I originally thought it was cancer, his breed is known to carry the disease, after x-ray and blood work it thankfully is not! He's going to be uncomfortable either way I go and the doctor was so supportive of my position as his mommy, and honest with me. I will always be thankful and a repeat patient "fur babies" mom!

I’ve been taking my dogs there for over 10 years,will not go anywhere else they took care of my old blue pit for years had to put him down last week, broke my heart they do not charge to put pets down. I live in berea and it’s well worth the drive l save hundreds

I took my new 8 week old Blue Heeler puppy to Minter and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Without an appointment my wait was not long at all and the waiting room was packed. The staff were super nice and efficient and the doctor took all the time necessary to answer all my questions. Oh, and the cost was more than reasonable.

My pitbull had a Pyometra David and his staff saved her life. Days of not eating and vomiting and diarrhea she was very frail. David and his staff somehow got her through surgery and she is now on her way to recovery. He also knew my dog has high anxiety over nail trims. He was thoughtful enough to trim her nails while she was medicated for surgery. I didn’t know she had a type of worms (whip worms) that can’t be seen, he also sent treatment home for that as well. My poor dog had been through so much. If it wasn’t for Minter and Moore veterinarian clinic I wouldn’t have her in my arms. Thank you for your attention to detail and the love you gave my dog!!! I will forever be gracious.

I tried this vet because my dog needed her lungs x-rayed. She'd had pneumonia and didn't seem to be getting better. Still coughing and coughing up blood even after treatment from another vet. They were able to xray her trachea and lungs after listening to her and hearing some wheezing. The x-ray confirmed the congestion in her lungs still and also an enlarged heart. They are treating her for it now. It answered a lot of questions and concerns I had for my little dog. This was my first visit here. They were very professional, affordable, and extremely friendly. I will return. They were very organized and up to date. I will use them again.

Just absolutely loved everyone I met there. They were so friendly and obviously knew what they were doin'. Just had our dogs nails clipped and they were only $8 per dog! I also met one of their cats that was introduced to me by runnin' into the room and rubbin' against my legs and wanted petted. Like I said...friendly. Will definitely continue to give them my business.

Hardest people ever to get ahold of. They called Sunday evening to cancel surgery for the next morning, and asked that call back from 2-5 the next day to reschedule. I wasn’t upset considering it was a death that caused the surgery day to be canceled. However, I have now tried for 2 days to call back and it’s constantly busy. This isn’t the first time I’ve had trouble getting ahold of them either or I wouldn’t be leaving this review. When I can make an appointment I’m satisfied with the service we do receive, and it’s very affordable. It’s just getting ahold of them to make an appointment to receive service.

I am not from around this area, but had to come in due to my dog having an allergic reaction. The staff was so friendly! Very quick to treat and made me feel at ease. Very cheap in my opinion compared to where I am from(Owensboro, KY). They seemed like they really cared and we had just met! I would recommend to anyone and would definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Joey's office is wonderful. The receptionist is very nice and joey is great with pets. I took a kitten with a broken leg to him and now she is much better and back to running around and playing. Joey gave me great advice on how to get her healed and back to her self again. Thanks so much Joey Minter. I appreciate u and your wonderful careing staff.

I took my Raggedy Ann (RA) to these people for her immunizations. Shortly after, RA started acting not her happy self and just laid around whimpering, I again took her to these people. A female assistant diagnosed her with WORMS and my cost that day was $100.00. a short few days later she was worse and I took her back at which time Mr Moore was certain she had suffered a BACK INJURY even though I had assured him she had NOT been injured, and sent her home with instructions that I can bring her back on a Saturday if she wasn't any better, which was 2 days away. The next morning when she couldn't stand or walk, I took her to a vet in the next town who didn't hesitate to do the necessary testing that Mr Moore didn't bother to do and my little ten month old Raggedy Ann was diagnosed with a nasty case of Lyme disease. I honestly believe that Mr Moore at Minter and Moore Veterinary Clinic deliberately misdiagnosed my precious pet for the sake of another office visit charge ($43.00). I also am certain had I waited the 2 days and took her back to him, he would have really laid the fees on me knowing by then I would have been desperate to find out what infliction my RA was suffering from.

My favourite veterinarian clinic I've ever been to. There's nothing like a small town vet. They genuinely care. The prices aren't outrageous like most vets are they know the income level of most people around here. We drive as hour to go here even though there are other places closer or bigger because three service we receive is the best

Our tiny apple head chihuahua got into Aloe Vera plant and was in bad shape, very quickly. Her tiny 5 month old body was shutting down, very fast. She looked drunk, shaking, tremors, legs not working, and her eyes were dilated. They got her in fast and were able to heal her up. This is our new vet, for life!! One day after she is doing awesome, walking around, not shaking, and vision is almost back to normal. Thank you for all you do, we appreciate you and all of your amazing staff, best vet ever!

Quick in and out for vaccinations. Answered all of my questions. Gentle with my puppy. A few very chill cats in the office/entryway, but I don't think I've ever been to a vet clinic that didn't have at least one cat.

My dog was super sick and the only vet open that was close was this one. We told them what was wrong with my dog and they gave my dog a shot and medicine without even giving any kind of tests or anything and the next day my dog passed away. You think if you’d pay someone to do their job then they would actually do the job they was paid to do. Would definitely NOT recommend this veterinarian clinic EVER.

Joey (Minter) saved our dogs life. And helped our other dog be comfortable after cancer surgery. We were referred to Minter in 2009. Since then we make a 6-hour round trip anytime our dogs needs a vet. He is the most compassionate vet and equally an amazing human being. His staff is wonderful too. It's rare to love everyone in any business. But that's what you will find here. They truly love animals & have a heart-warming bedside manner. Sadly, Dr. Minter passed away, much too soon, this past week Joey Minter is by far a cherished legacy. He has helped many in his lifetime and was the ultimate role model as a veterinarian and human being. Our heart aches not only for us, but for our beloved pets too. He helped others when they couldn't afford to pay their bills. So many unspoken good deeds this man did because of his love of animals & people. I'm sure his staff will carry-on and practice the same way Dr. Minter lead. There isn't enough space to write about his good character & kind heart. Although we lost a gentle giant, I highly recommend Minter Veterinarian to honor him & his business that he whole-heartedly built...a wonderful, daily practice of Loving & caring for our sweet pet and farm animals. RIP Joey! You were an inspiration and will never be forgotten.

So happy he is always there when you need him. Ginger was so sick and didn't eat for a couple of days. She had Pancreatitis. Now she's more like her old self again and eating quite well. "Thank you very much, Dr.Minter."
