I know Jack and I like Jack and I had bought quite a lot of food there over the many many years of going there and not only that that's usually the spot where prefer to purchase the great big of American club tobacco and tubes and handheld cigarette maker's. I believe it makes it a lot more less expensive to smoke when you do it that way and roll your own and if you buy the big bags of American club tobacco. Also I got some strawberries there yesterday and I suppose I enjoyed those quite well last night I believe ate all of-em last night.

Friendly staff, good prices on a lot of stuff, clean, and just locally owned. Local owned businesses are usually better. They treat people better and really want your business. These company stores like save a lot, their workers could care less if you shop. Local owned is where to go.

Not the greatest but it's closest to the cabin we're going to. Prices seem a bit high. Independently owned IGA. The deli is no more so the case have desserts thrown in them & sheets covering other parts. There's not much produce to pick from. The mushrooms looked good but the peppers were starting to pucker so for the price I didn't buy them. The chicken looked a weird color but I got a pack of 2 nice looking pork chops. The customer behind us was friendly & helpful, staff was good.

Jack's employees are always friendly and helpful. A person can buy groceries gas and get a car wash in same place. I use his gas station a lot, easy access and no wait.

Great friendly staff. Great supply of food just about anything you want or need from a locally owned and operated store.Update I've noticed in the last little bit if you get there about 15 minutes before they close the door is already locked. So don't plan on needing something close to closing time because you won't get it.

Im trying to be fair. They are a family run, locally owned business so I totally try to support them and shop there when I can. However, they are mostly ridiculously over-priced. Most times I'll waste the gas to go to wal-mart because I'm still not paying as much as I would there even with gas counted in.

If you are a health nut like me, you are best to stop at Kroger in Stanton. The butcher is awesome and the staff is super friendly but the fruits and veggies I wouldn't feed to my dogs.

Every time I come in here I'm buying expired products. Like, months old. I've had dog food, cat food, expired tea, expired milk. But it's not pulled from the shelves. The list goes on. By far not the cheapest, and beware of expired produce, but maybe that's why he's the "cheapest man in town" because of the expired groceries. I typically go to the Farmer's Market for produce. The staff is AMAZING (I'm not being fececious) I love them all, but maybe also work on the food.

I can usually find everything that I'm looking for but at a higher price than what you would pay at other leading store's. The staff is very helpful and polite, (except for the occasional snooty staff member). Over all it's a very clean, decent place to grocery shop!

Charges higher prices than the bigger cities do. A lot of food has been found out dated or the expiration dates edited. Runs a BIG scam with about a reward for gas by buying $20 in groceries. Its not real. Dog food is all expired. The deep freezers are dirty and disqusting. The refrigeration units leak and doesn't keep meats frozen properly ruining frozen food products. You have to be careful when purchasing soda here cause its old, stale and flat in a lot of cases. People have gotten sick by eating the food from here on many cases and owner has been notified by the friendly hard working staff about these issues and ignores them thinking he won't be reported. Beattyville needs more grocery store choices so the good people of its community have fresh food and options. Such a shame!

It is okay. Nothing like Koger or Publix, but it is fine for small town America. Clean and well stocked with the limited variety they carry. Descent meats department, again just not much varity.

For the most part the workers are helpful and tread me with the same respect I give them and then there is a few there that I would stick a pin in my eye than got be rung up by them...I know im not the only one thats been made feel like I was bothering them because I was checking out...All I know is there are 2 food store here so I'm limited on my selection...

IGA has alot more selections than other stores in Beattyville Ky. That and the friendly cashiers (mostly) is why I gave it the stars I did. The prices though are outrageous and the owner is very rude.

When I first walked in there was two workers without a mask on. Then there was a few customers standing in line buying cigarettes without a mask on being checked out. Everytime I go in Uganda there is always people without mask. That's why I try not to go there.
