We are traveling out of state and came upon Brenda’s BBQ Smokehouse. We would give it 10 stars if we could. The food was amazing, very clean restaurant, and the staff/owners were very kind. We got the baby back ribs with various sides. The baked beans are a must have! We will definitely come back if we visit Kentucky again. If you’re around the area, it is totally worth the stop.

Busy place on a thurs lunch time! Lady(Brenda?) was taking 3 phone orders while taking our order My Husband and I both got pulled pork sandwich - only $6/. I wish I had a scale, but would bet mine had 3x the amount of pork as my husband’s, so we traded. Good flavor. Onion rings weren’t homemade there but were really good! Side of broccoli was good too.Be sure to ask about the specials as I didn’t see them posted (but might have been), but heard them talking on the phone about it - thinking the meatloaf special must be good since ladyon phone placing order was really bummed it wasn’t today.Friendly service and took about 20+ min to get food.

Very... low quality for the price. Everything tasted like it was pre-prepared and bought at the store. The baked beans and green beans looked and tasted dead up like something in a can. The sodas weren't chilled, sweet tea was awful and they had no ice. The ribs were 3 dollars more than listed on the menu but they dont tell you that unless you ask. All around just no.

I think we just had a bad experience. Food was greasy and not done. Fried potatoes were not appealing and dripping in oil. Just a note you have to call your order in ahead or have a long wait. Probably not worth a specific drive to this restaurant. But if your in the area give it a shot.

Amazing! Large portions and good sides. The bbq sauce is good but a little thin. They offer outdoor seating and you order at the walk up window. Friendly staff.

We were tourists and we stopped by looking for some good barbecue, did not disappoint. Brenda has the best tips for swimming and jumping spots in the gorge. We will return soon!

Had the bbq hotdog and fries. I got the coleslaw on the side because I'm not normally a big fan of coleslaw and was sceptical about it. But, oh my gosh! Their coleslaw was so fresh and delicious! Beyond impressed.

Recommend to call your order in a head cuz you can be told 15-20 minutes and still have no food 35 minutes later .Grate prices easy to find and good food just to long a wait to eat in at

Wow!!! What a find. We had the pulled pork sandwich that was out of this world. If your anywhere near this destination, make it a go-to stop.
