If you are getting a dog from here and know what date you are getting the dog set an appt up with your vet immediately. i got my dog from here apr 5th and set an appt up with a vet the following weekend and found out she had hook worms and whip worms that will infect my yard while i have 3 other dogs that are now going to most likely need treatment. lady on the phone said they don’t have any equipment to test them for that kind of stuff which i thought that was something you have to do before sending a dog home which it should be a requirement. i’m just hoping dogs that have gone home recently or still there don’t have it.

Absolutely horrible and heartbreaking experience.I've been looking for a small dog to carry around and dote on and help with my anxiety. I found a chi mix on Petfinder at their shelter. Filled out an application and was approved. Scheduled a meet and greet and even drove over an hour on snowy roads to see her ASAP. They knew I had kids and cats, but decided not to adopt trinket to me for those reasons. They should have just said no from the get go if that's what they were going to do.. The meet and greet went so well. My kids were gentle with her. She was fine around the cats running around the office. She cuddled up in my arms and gave me kisses. They even told me to leave the special dog food I'd bought for her and they'd start transitioning her to it for me, so I left the food. I even left 2 of the sweaters I'd bought and made for her. I was so excited and happy and got more stuff for her cause they said I could bring her home the 24th after she was spayed. I'm just so heartbroken. I wasted my time, money, gas, and travelled over 2 hours round trip on snowy roads to see her ASAP, just to get my hopes up and crushed 💔 😢 I have adopted and fostered through a few local shelters and have never experienced something like this. Very deceitful and disappointing. I wanted to adopt but I'm going to save up and just buy a small dog. I can't go through this heartbreak again. A breeder wouldn't have told a loving home no.

Adopted my baby from the shelter in may and they were so amazing and kept me up to date on the puppy through her spay and recovery. The best staff! They care so much ❤️

The shelter there may be great for animals but the guy that picks up stray cats and dogs doesn't care at all after numerous calls being call recorded. I have done decided to take this further to court after making a phone call this morning and he came by my neighbors house but didn't drop off the cages here and I have had my service animal attacked twice and almost a 3rd time and numerous cats still keep coming through here.

Absolutely terrible experience. The cat we saw online, met in person and signed for was given to someone else! We only find that out on the day of pickup. WRONG CAT! Trying to stay calm, there is another litter there with a kitten we put our name on. Only to be called 2 hours later that they were mistaken again and that kitten wasn't available. They do not have a clue on what they are doing and are playing with peoples emotions!

Friendly staff which truly cares about finding the right forever home for their animals. Affordable adoption fees. Kennel is clean and staff takes their time in gaging an animals temperament. This is important when you already have pets or children in the home. We adopted a small dog who was spayed, shots and chipped. I would recommend others to try this agency when looking for a new pet.
