It was so much fun. Whether you're here for the winery or the distillery, it's a great experience. Beautiful historic property with a wonderful wine selection that ranges from sweet to dry.

We absolutely love the history of this winery. Their bourbon is decent yet enjoyable. But the wines and location is very nice. We will definitely be there quite a few more times for sure.

Well worth the stop! Open Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 4pm. Was suprised at its historic heritage which a tour guide will tell you about in excellent detail. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Tours are free and even with some hands on learning of how the wine was once made. You can sample the wine for as little as $5 for 5 different samples or even purchase a bottle to take home. The bar serves wine and the cheese to go with it. Just in the corner sits a man playing his acoustic guitar to some very familiar 90s music which I enjoyed very much.

Wonderful, historic winery! Such a beautiful place full of history. Some really good wines, especially the Red Hawk. Highly recommend this winery as an afternoon venture!

The wines are ok. Typical Kentucky wine:heavy on the sweet. Our server was fantastic. Well happily come back just for her.

Amazing experience! Interactive tour and such a fun hostess. We couldn’t be happier for visiting on a birthday excursion.

We did the bourbon tour with tasting. Dinah was very informative and passionate about her winery and distillery. The Bourbon was amazing. Did a wine tasting as well. They were all really good. Some better than others but depends on your taste. Everyone there was very welcoming and personable.

My wife and I spent a great afternoon at this unique site. We enjoyed the tours and the tastings. The wine cellar and history is worth the visit. The owner and staff made it a day that we will remember and highly recommend to others.

Interesting place, and very relaxing. It would be a perfect place to have a small wedding. Larry-the gentleman who was playing music was amazing. The owner-Deb was so nice and welcoming. We paid $30 for a history tour and cheese tray and it wasn't exactly $30 worth considering we were given chicken and biscuit crackers to eat. I would have much rather spent the money on their amazing wine and drank all day! My husband and I will be back to sample more wine and enjoy a longer stay.

Went in for a tasting. Sat down and was completely ignored for 15 minutes. Others who came in after us were served. No one even acknowledged us. When we left, we were told to have a good day. When I said i would have if anyone had waited on us. She just laughed at us and walked back into the building. If I could give zero stars I would. And it takes you 4 years to reply to my review. That just reconfirms my belief that you are not customer centric.

What a wonderful experience at the oldest estate winery in America. The winery has an excellent selection of very well made wines and a charming history that just adds to the enjoyment of this historic winery. The winery is adorned with comfortable seating and an atmosphere that can't be beat. The music is wonderful and provides a nice subtle ambiance while sampling their award winning wines.I would highly recommend you try this winery out or better yet, stay in Augusta at the Hawkwood Hall Bed and Breakfast and make a weekend of it.

If you love a rich history and a great story, then this long standing vineyard is a must. The owners are as good-natured as they are knowledgeable. They are doing curbside services and history lessons at the time of this review, but we will be definitely be visiting again to get the full experience.

Purchased a Groupon for a tour, cheese plate, and souvenir glasses. The tour guide was extremely young (as in, not sure if it's legal for her to work yet. She openly admitted she was "obviously not old enough to drink.") The tour group asked some basic questions, and she was unable to answer any of them. When she did answer, she was just taking wild guesses-- ex: I asked how long it took to build the cellar (which is 40ft x 40ft x 90 ft dug into the hillside by hand) and she said "there were a lot of Germans working on it, so, probably a couple months." (I asked a different worker and she said 4 years.)The cheese plate was sad. It was premade on a paper plate, still served to us in a Ziploc baggie. The cheese was slimy-- I was skeptical of how long ago it was prepared, so we didn't eat any of it. The wine was just okay, and was served in dixie cups. My husband ordered a "bullfrog" (whiskey spiked margarita) which had TWO dead flies in it. There were no flies flying around, so I really think they had been inside the margarita pitcher. Overall, extremely disappointed. I don't understand how this place has such high reviews. I get it that everyone has "off" days, but man, this was pretty sad.

Baker-Bird Winery & Distillery is a hidden gem.The tasting room and distillery are well decorated, inviting, and very pleasant to visit. The cavernous room under the tasting room is deceptively large and a great venue for gatherings.

I took the tour on Friday, June 18th. The tour was supposed to last 35 minutes, it lasted around 20 minutes and the tour guide didn't know any of the answers to our questions. One person in my tour had been there before so she prompted him on some information. Very disappointing. Certainly not worth the $10.

We were disappointed in the prices, wine tasting was not included in the winery tour. The winery, itself, was not a working winery any longer. This saddened me, for it had a great ageing cave. The people that worked there were very hospitable and nice to be around.

Our hostess Beckie " with an ie". Was the hostess with the mostest. . Pouring wonderful wine. Fixing us up with a cheese plate. Great day. Forgot to ask her if she had Baker-Bird wine glasses. Giving us one more reason to go back, Thank you Beckie for a wonderful experience. Picked up a bottles of our favorite. We'll be back! Tammye and Keith!
