We have purchased our two chihuahuas and most recently our Boston terrier from this location, it was a great experience overall and we would purchase again! Highly recommend them, they usually have pets in all price ranges and the payments plans are affordable. Tyra, Jesse, Lexi and Kaylee are excellent and knowledgeable if you have any questions!

I just want to say that I rarely ever go to pet stores. But I went to Petland to find a aquarium for my pet snake. This guy helped me and made my experience better than most other pet stores. I just want to say thank you do Derick for making my experience good and for helping me.

Petland was excellent as it always is. It was easy to shop as the atmosphere was calm, making it an enjoyable shopping experience. The store is always nicely organized, so it's very easy to find what you're looking for in a quick amount of time. They have a very good variety of pets to choose from, more so than the other pet stores in our area. All the animals looked healthy and clean like they've been well taken care of.

I have never seen these employees work so hard to help people to bond with reptiles as I have Steve Conn, Deric Abb, and Deshone Cooper. They are really amazing. When you go in and look for anything from fish, reptiles, and even petters like rabbits, hamster's, ferrets and Guinea pig's they are amazing and can help you with what you need for a first time pet to another reptile.

I recently purchased A leopard gecko from this particular location, as well as all the necessary equipment to house it. A few weeks in however, I noticed my gecko acting particularly lethargic. So, upon my next visit, the employee I spoke with recommended a change in diet and a particular variety of UV bulb they'd had good experience with. Sure enough, after the diet change the Gecko has since become far more lively and is regaining it's strength. Excellent customer service.

Fall in love with your new friend if you can afford it. They had lots of pets to take home, but price is very expensive. I would have loved to bring this precious baby girl home, but $160 per month for 36 months is just too much. I hope someone can afford to bring her home. With the way things are getting, I would have thought $160 for her and then her lifetime of care and love would have been enough.

First, the employees didn’t even acknowledge my fiancé and I when we walked in, but that isn’t even the part that bothered me the most. This is quite literally the grossest Petland I’ve ever been to. Every dog had runny poop in its cage and looked sickly. The one that made me the saddest was the French bulldog whose left eye was bloodshot red and facing away from visitors. If you want a dog from Petland, I suggest traveling to another one far away from this location. (CHECK YELP REVIEWS FOR THIS LOCATION AS WELL BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR PET).

We stopped in to look at the Frenchie bulldogs they had Saturday evening. We were told they were around $6100 ( I can not remember the exact amount) but that was too much for me to pay for a dog. So today (the following Tuesday) I get a text message saying their puppies were 35% off. So I go browsing and see the Frenchie that I wanted and had planned to go to the store when I got off work. My coworker was also interest so she called the store asking how much the dog would be on sale. They told her $5600! That the dog was regular $9000. The dog was not on sale Saturday. In fact the worker told me to check back in a couple of weeks and if they still had the dog he would be discounted because they want to make sure their dogs get a home. So my husband calls the store and asked why we were told 6100 Saturday and today the dog is $5600 and “35%”. The worker told my husband “I didn’t work Saturday. I don’t know” and then literally hung up the phone on him. I guess this is why petland don’t post the prices of the dogs anymore, so they can just lie and screw people over.

Brittany is the most knowledgeable pet store employee I’ve ever met, she was able to help me do a whole set up for my leopard gecko but was also able to help me with with my rabbit and also my cat she knew the answer to every question I had and then even some I didn’t know to ask, will definitely be recommending her to everyone who has pets

‼️‼️WARNING!‼️‼️If you plan on looking/buying a puppy from Petland Ashland don’t get jipped like I did! We bought our lab Milo from them about a year ago and he has been a great addition so when Petland called me yesterday saying they had a 4 month old lab for 400 who needed a home, we decided to make a reservation to meet her. I had to work a little today so I told them that we would be in Sunday. Yes I understand Petland can not put puppies on hold but I told them to just call me if she was sold before then. They called me again at 11:44 today to see if I was still interested. Which we were and I told them the same thing, to just call me if she was sold before we could get there. Then they sent me a confirmation for our reservation at 3:14pm today. Which I ended up getting off early so we decided to just go ahead and try and get her today so I called Petland at 3:30 to confirm that the puppy was still there, in which they said she was. So imagine our surprise when we showed up and find out that the puppy had already been sold earlier this morning🙄. Needless to say I was pretty pissed off. Not at the fact that they sold the puppy but the fact that they had lied to me about the puppy being available. I had been in contact with them on multiple occasions and was told she was still available every time. What makes it better is that when I spoke to the so called manager she didn’t not care at all. She basically told me there was plenty of other puppy’s to choice from. Like Petland called us about the puppy. We didn’t go looking. We told them on multiple occasions that we were only interested in the lab since we already have a lab. If they would have just been honest about it there would be no problem but to lie and deceive people just to make a sale is not okay!!!

Moved here in August 2023, had healthy snakes and no issues before feeding frozen mice from here. Fed my snakes , they weren’t able to digest the mice and threw them up, less than a week later they died. Won’t be getting my business anymore. I’m heart broken.

The staff is very knowledgeable but I am not sure the animals are very well taken care of. The dog kennels are always full of waste and the small pets areas smell. I would like to edit, in the last few months the pets seem to be in a much cleaner environment.

The sales people were very helpful an friendly. But petland rules are arip off. I bought a hamster on Tues bought food an bedding from petland. Just because I did NOT buy some kind of wet tail drops another 22.00 they would not give any warranty hamster died sat and was sick from thurs on. I went fri gave 22.00 for drops. I called Sunday ask if I bought new hamster (which was Christmas present) since I had just purchased drops on fri could they give 7 day warranty at least. Told me no because I purchased them for other hamster. Big big rip off so not only did I have to pay for new hamster has to purchase new drops for 7 day warranty if it comes out of their same cage it may b sickly also. Not happy customer
