I just witnessed a Homophobic Employee treat my Gay best friend with such disrespect that we will be sueing for such blatant Discrimination, all because he was "laughing" imagining how his nephew would react to a toy we looking at! IN THE KIDS TOY Aisle to buy for his nephew's birthday (as we stated they were doing). So, he waited until we walked up front with a cart full of items and told us to be quiet or get out. He looked STRAIGHT at my Gay Friend and He said "YOU are having TOO much fun and if you want to laugh like a woman then you need to get out of MY store right now." The store was EMPTY by the way. There was no one else around us, we have never been treated so badly. A customer actually pulled in the gas station behind us after we left and asked if we were okay, she was in TEARS at how horrible this man acted. We are speaking with a Lawyer as soon as possible. This will NOT be swept under the rug. It's 2023, being a bigot and targeting a gay Man by calling him a woman whenever he IS clearly a man IS WRONG! Bullying Is NOT OKAY!

I shop here all the time & I use my app and coupons.. I had an accident as embarrassing as it is to say.. I believe I asked the manager to use the restroom (the sign on door plainly stated to ask employee for key) I proceeded to explain my situation when she cut me off and said “NO.. we don’t have public restrooms.. I asked again and explained it was an emergency.. to which she cut me off again and stated, “ you will have to go to IHop”. I will not be shopping there again.. and to the employee of Dollar General, I hope you are not treated the same way you treated me if you should ever have an emergency.. humiliated and embarrassed… (I would understand if this area was in a “ rough neighborhood“ but that is not the case!!)

Very poor customer service. Didnt get all of merchandise I paid for. Took receipt back and the "manger" was very rude. "Not authorized" to let me have what I already paid for....and SHE was the one that rang me up!!!! "Come back I tomorrow and the store manager will be here". So what the heck is her job!!!!! Will be contacting home office

I had previously posted a poor review due to an unsatisfactory experience at this store. The manager contacted me and expressed her heartfelt apologies and offered retribution. She also explained her newness to the job, and I explained that I probably overreacted. I will return to this store again.

Store has improved over the time. You can usually tell how well these stores are managed by the bathrooms. They are cleaner then most. Someone always ask if they can help you.
