What a great place. Lot's of canned fruits, salsas, pies from across the street at Carriage Crossing, and of course locally sourced Kansas meat. Beef, pork, elk, goat, and many others. Always a stop when in Hutchinson. I picked up Jalapeno snack sticks, Jalapeno bacon, cheese curds, blueberry breakfast crunch (like granola), chive bread, ultra hot links, and homemade dog treats. Love supporting local business!

Yoder meats are hands down the best I’ve tasted so far that is available locally. There are so many kinds sausages and links to try. They have other items such as jellies, bread, cake, cookies, an entire deli section, and a whole gift shop area as well. They also carry their own sorbet ice cream. The staff seemed very nice and helpful. The parking is available around the building and it is conveniently located across from the infamous carriage crossing restaurant. If you’d like to try out Yoder meats before buying, I’d definitely try the steaks and other entrees at the restaurant. Hint: they’re amazing!

Great service! I always check in to see if they have butter, usually sold out by the time of the day I get there, but always good to have.

This place has the absolute best summer sausage ever. It features spicy pepper jack cheese. It’s to die for.

Poor people. The freezer broke down just before we got there and all their meat had to be moved to the back freezer. I got what I asked for specifically, which was two pounds of stew meat. That lady seemed so frazzled. The meat there is superb and the dry ingredients and canned food are so tasty. Go and get something from them. You wont regret it

My wife and I spent about a half hour here and spent about $100. We could have spent more time and spent twice as much, but there has to be an end sometime. Alot of stuff to choose from, most of which is made in or around Yoder.

This place takes me back to when I was growing up and seeing something for the first time or getting something new. I'm so excited when I come to a Amish community and how well the area is well taken care of, clean, very polite and helpful. My husband and I got sandwiches from their deli and I was so excited because the meat they have, no store carries it anymore. If you go to Kansas, head to Yoder and stop at the little store and then go have lunch across the street at the restaurant.

We stopped by here on our way through visiting family. Bought steak, ranch marinated chicken breast, several varieties of sausage/brats, some bierocks, and some summer sausage. The steaks were the best I've had in years, practically melted in my mouth. The chicken was juicy, tender, and quite flavorful. All of the brats/sausage were amazing, and the summer sausage was absolute perfection.Bierocks are something very near and dear to my heart, as they are a family tradition passed down generations now, and while I found the bierocks we bought from Yoder to be quite tasty, they weren't the same as our old family recipe, but that's okay! We still enjoyed them!I'm from out of state but if I had a Yoders in my hometown, this would be my first stop for meats hands down.

I rarely write reviews for anything, but this is worth the time. This place has the cleanest chicken breast I've ever had. Out of every restaurant/meat locker/grocery store throughout multiple states, this is by far my favorite place to get chicken. Per-fection!

When walking in the smell was amazing. They had food cooking for lunch. As our 1st time in there we took our time looking at everything. We ending up getting cheese curds, salami with cheese which was great!!, elk and Buffalo steaks, we also got some bakery items like a cinnamon roll and banana cream pie.. which by the way was delicious!! They had a kids candy area which of course they got some. We wished they had more venison items. But we will be back.

We drove from the house near Cunningham, Kansas to Hutchinson to do some shopping on Saturday April 21. Part of the great plan was to drive from Hutchinson to Yoder, Kansas and pickup an advertised bundle of meat from Yoder meats and then eat lunch at the Carriage Crossing which is located nearby.Upon arrival at Yoder Meats, I was greeted by a young lady at the meat counter and I told her I would like one of the advertised $100 meat bundles. She informed me that they were out of ingredients and would not have any more of the frequently advertised meat bundles until sometime in the next week. She suggested I return the following week. I told her that driving approximately 60 miles each way to pick up a $100 bundle of meat was NOT going to happen. They still had the meat bundles advertised at their store and to add insult to injury as soon as I arrived home and turned on the TV.........you guessed it, there was an advertisement playing for the very same meat bundle I tried to unsuccessfully purchase about an hour earlier.I likely will call next time I plan to go to Yoder Meats or maybe just not consider them at all. They do have quality products, but they are on the expensive side. Perhaps they should consider adding additional information to their advertising when products are sold out.

I stop here for their lunch. The few hot items items they offer are usually pretty tasty and the price is right. They rotate items throughout the week. Sometimes I order a custom made sandwich and that is always good. They have a good selection of meats and cheeses. Friendly service.

UNhappy customer…I was excited to buy from Yoder’s because I thought that they were Amish and Christians and I would get a good deal. Drove four hours to get there from Oklahoma to picked up the meat. However, after I got home to my dismay it was loaded with fat. Literally everything was loaded with extra fat. I later read the paperwork the guy who load the beef have me and it said extra extra fat. I let the management know and they offered to give me $100 back after I gave them $1577 for the meat. They said they couldn’t take the meat back. To say I’m a disappointed is an understatement. Had a heart attack a few years ago and told him I wanted the beef to be at least 85% lean. This experience have been an expensive lesson so my advice is to stay away from Yoder’s.

This small store has a large selection of meats, cheeses and other kinds of fresh food. Everything is fresh from local farms. They also have a lot of canned (in jars) honey, jams and jellies. Also all from fresh produce. And the prices are reasonable.

Great customer service and very prompt in getting my deer done. Felt very confident that I was getting my deer processed separately from everyone else. A little pricy but worth it for the quality job and service. Deer summer sausage is amazing. Recommend u get as much as u can afford.

Called them on phone to ask the price per pound for fresh side pork, sounded like teenagers, they had no idea.

I purchased some of their German Sausage from an Amish Restaurant called The Breadbasket in Newton, KS. We just tried it today for dinner and it was delicious. We can't wait to buy some more. We live in Leavenworth, KS and hope their is a place or way to get some more of this sausage and maybe other meats from their shop.

We enjoyed shopping at Yoder Meats. The thrift shop was a place we had not visited before. It was reasonably priced. But, they close at 4:30pm so we left there. The lady was not overly friendly. She looked tired and was ready to close.

The young man at the cash register did a wonderful job checking us out. But the young lady at the second register was very unprofessional eating salami while checking a person out. Especially when she held a whole piece of salami between her lips while checking a person out. She needs to learn proper etiquette.

I went in to look around having tried their meats across the road at the Carriage House. They have a nice selection of smoked meats, cured meats, and other pantry staples. I purchased some of their smoked meat, I can't wait to try it. They also have cheeses, but it appears that it is made in WI, instead of locally. I would recommend if your visiting Yoder, take a visit and check it out for yourself.

We didn’t have much time there, but prices were reasonable, bought some meat sticks for the road and some other things, service was excellent.
