Truly astounding to find food this good in the middle of nowhere. We only stopped in because it was next to our motel and because they have an outdoor dining area. (road trip with dog) Oh, my! The patty melt and hamburger were unparalleled anywhere. Fresh Kansas beef. Never frozen, the server said. Seared on a grill. Simply the best. The homemade french fries! Stuff of dreams. I also loved the homemade ranch dressing on my salad and pie for dessert. Add a cold beer and you'll never eat better, anywhere. It was so good, we routed our trip to return the same way so we could stop in again. My only regret was not trying the Sunday special instead of a repeat burger. Next time, Winona!

I wish I could give this place a way higher rating. This is definitely a little hole in the wall place but it was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable. The food was fantastic. The staff was friendly and they even let me bring my cats inside (they stayed in their carriers, on the floor)I will most definitely be back and I will recommend this place to anyone who travels through.

This cafe is the BEST place to stop. We drove through 4 towns with food just so we could give this gem a try. Food was deliciously amazing and the chocolate lasagna was out of this world! Will definitely hit them up every time I'm road tripping and try something new! YUM!!!

Almost kept driving, glad I stopped. Got here just in time before the lunch crowd, which wasn’t sure how busy it would get not being from this area, filled up fast, great food,service and atmosphere, clientele were very friendly also. I had the plain Cheeseburger and home fresh cut fries, it was tasty and delicious.

If you are on Highway 40, West of I-70, this is the place to stop and eat. In fact it might be the only place to stop and eat!I love hamburgers. "The Cafe" has burgers, lots of kinds of burgers. My wife got one of the 1/2 pound burgers and a side order of fries. I got a cheese burger and tots off the kid's menu. Both we very good. (and mine had plenty of food)If you want something else they probably serve it. I saw lots of different kinds of dinners being served to other customers while we were there.

Would rather serve locals before outsiders they should have a sign outside their door saying locals only it took over an hour for dine in no matter how good the food is no one should ever wait that long. Definitely recommend you keep driving on by if you see this place unless you know someone.

I had the best burger I've had in a very long time in this little cafe. We arrived Sunday for lunch in the middle of their after church rush, but the service was friendly and fast, and the food was outstanding! Everything was freshly made, and their prices are beyond reasonable. This is a great place that I'll make a point to go back to the next time I'm in the area.

This is one of the best restaurants to eat at. Their service was so good I don’t think I waited more than a minute before the lady came and checked on me. The food was soooooooo delicious, I even had to order some more for the trip back home. My burger was so perfectly seasoned, I couldn’t even make a burger that good. In conclusion I will definitely be coming back. Thank y’all for the amazing food and service.

Doing our semi-annual road trip between Minnesota and New Mexico, we finally hit this cafe at a timely (open) and hungry time. We got the bacon blue cheeseburger, Philly cheesesteak, and tots. Delicious! Perfect tots, the burger was tall and flavorful, and the Philly had just the right combo and ratio of ingredients.We travel with 2 large dogs, so we were grateful for the takeout option. We enjoyed the meal in the park nearby. We will be back!

I’ve eaten here several times, and the food and staff are bar none! The ribs I had last night are the best I’ve ever had, and I live in Kansas City, where BBQ is king.The locals are friendly, and very entertaining, in true Kansas fashion!Looking forward to the next time I have the privilege of dining there.Do yourself a solid and go eat there!

Called ahead and ordered on our way through to CO. Made it to the restaurant in less than 15 and everything was already done and waiting for me. Pleasant and quick exchange, food was fresh and delicious, and they provided the best chicken strips I’ve had in awhile.Spent 38$ + tip on food for 7 people - largest chicken strip basket(hand breaded and delicious) w/ double fries, (homemade and also delicious) mozzarella sticks, (yummy) cheddar bites, (delicious crispy coating with a kick- they were GREAT with their yummy ranch) and potato skins (delicious and hot, great sized, plenty of toppings and perfectly salted).They were busy in what was seemingly the middle of nowhere in the middle of a 100 degree day, I think that speaks for itself... Kudos to the owners and staff, it was truly enjoyed.

Small Town dinner in the middle of nowhere. Perfect chicken strips and fries. Great cheese curds. Will be back to try more things on the menu. Also quick, hot and fresh. Couldn't ask for a better quick stop.

This little diner was an unexpected gem in the middle of nowhere. Service was quick and friendly. The burgers are fresh and juicy like you'd make at home and the fries were fresh cut and made to order. Prices were average for the amount of food you get. It was delicious.

Great food, amazing presentation when it was served (I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and they didn’t skimp on the shrimp), the place is a quaint small town diner. Gives a really homely feel and on top of that the staff is friendly but not overzealous. Overall a place you definitely feel welcome in.
