I have used the Wet Pet for several years now and until today have been more than pleased with both the service and the people working there. Unfortunately, today ended my relationship with this business.Izzy, my cocker spaniel mix, had eye surgery about 5 weeks ago, so I was unable to keep the last appt the week after her surgery. I rescheduled at that time for today. When I arrived, we talked about how to groom her and then was told it would be sometime this afternoon to pick her up since they had to work her in.Ordinarily that would have been okay since the husband, David, can pick her up. But life gets in the way. The husband is in Kansas City for the summer with the son that is battling leukemia and the other son and wife just delivered a baby and, of course, I work 2nd shift. So today wasn't going to work to anyone's schedule to get her picked up later in the afternoon.I said that I would have to take Izzy with me and then questioned why so late? I was informed that they were having to work her in. Of course I then asked why were they working her in since I had made my appt 4 weeks ago, it was about this time that the groomer lost her patience. I was told they they were booked, even overbooked 4 weeks out and really busy, that they were doing the best that they could, and I am sure they are. I also said I understood everyone is stressed out right now, I know I am, and left.I am sure there will be no adverse reaction from just 1 customer indicating an experience that was very unpleasant, but the attitude and tone from this business is not one I could tolerate today, maybe a year ago, but not today.Granted, I was disappointed that we could not get Izzy groomed, but while overbooking is expected at a Doctor's office at least they are apologetic about it 90% of the time and try to see you and get you out of their office within an hour.
