We found this neighborhood shop to be greatly improved from our last visit five years ago. The staff were friendly and helpful. The daily fresh proteins were nicely displayed and well trimmed. PRIME FILETS looked so great and better priced than my regular local shop. The smoked whole turkey will be delicious, as I have enjoyed it from their main market in Yoder, KS. They have expanded their daily selection of locally made fruit pies and maple cinnamon. I Am Back! This Will Be My Home Meat Market and Amish Bakery! Well Done, Yoder Meats!

We came to get a pork shoulder but there was quite a bit of meat cuts that were brown and definitely expired. Also their cheese curds had mold on them. Staff was very friendly though. We ended up leaving without buying anything.

This is hands down the best location! I work closer to a different location but S. Maize is my neighborhood location and it’s the only place I will shop for meat! The staff, every single one of them, is so kind, friendly, attentive, and just down right amazing! Thank you everyone who makes this location the best in town!

Super chill dudes running the place when I went there. I was looking for lamb or venison but it seems like those go in and out of stock. It's no biggie. Might be worth calling beforehand if you have your heart set on something. Got some beef stew meat which was good, no complaints at all, and some reasonably priced farm fresh eggs. I'd recommend giving them a try.

We bought several bundles and several packages were not labeled very irritating for the amount of money we spent I called and they told me to drive up there and they would label them or I could spend more time by going though the bundles with them over the phone and it would be a process of elimination either way not acceptable will not be going to them again

Spent $165 here on meat bundle. Really, it was mostly awful. We made cheeseburgers that we both were certain was venison instead of beef. so far, every single "vacumme" pack has leaked upon thawing- so obviously not sealed. The bacon we got was labeled as hickory smoked bacon and it looked and tasted more like ham. Chicken breasts were okay. Beef roast was okay. overall, save your money and shop elsewhere. will never go back.

I buy most of my meat from Yoder and am usually satisfied, but we bought some country style ribs yesterday and it was sliced thin and was mostly all fat! So I called them at the maize store and the person I talked to didn't care that I was unhappy! I said to him that if he couldn't help me out, I wouldn't shop there anymore and he just said okay! So I called the West Street store and they are going to take care of me! That person at the maize store should be reprimanded!

Meh. It smelled funny when I went in. I should have left then but I really wanted to see what this place was about. I’m pretty sure I only got service because I was the only one in there after the person before me left. I felt like a nuisance asking questions about the meat. A customer came in and left and was not acknowledged or greeted and neither was I until it was my turn. The bacon wrapped filets I bought are not that good. We remove the bacon to make it taste better but it’s still up to par for I paid for them. I probably won’t be back.

Our first time experiencing Yoder Meats. We got 2 KC Strips. A little seasoning, 6 mins per side covered on the grill and, they were outstanding. Very tender. We will come there every time when we want Steaks.

be careful if you buy anything vacuum packed got my Farm Fresh chicken home and opened it up, we had to run it outside with it, and it Still stunk up our house! I tried to call and tell them that they needed to check the rest of them. They could not get past the fact that the chicken was vacuum packed . they did not seem to care that i opened it half an hour after I bought it It was Rotten Or That happened Before I bought it.

Great food and customer service. To the chicken guy, Andre, all you had to do was them for a new onev and they wouldve done that for you. I too buy my whole chickens there and have never had an issue. Anything that does pop up, they are humans after all a mistake can happen, they are very quick to make good on accidents.

The people at Yoder truly care for their customers and provide Kosher products! They are all so kind but one person in particular really stands out, Josh!!! He is genuine, very helpful and knowledeable!!Their meat taste way better than any Meat I have had in the past too! I love that they have all the basics; all kinds of meat, spices, local honey, even homemade sweets! I love their eggs too, hmmm, home grown. I have been a customer for over a year and they have always been courteous, well organized, have amazing prices for the quality of meat they provide and most of all they treat their animals humanely! Thank you !!!

First of all, let me say that the negative reviewer seems to have had a very unusual experience. I hope he or she will take the time to give another call and let them know of the experience as I am confident that it will be made right.Second, my experiences have been nothing but fantastic on multiple occasions. My most recent experience spurred this review. I went in last minute for feast-ingredients (per the norm.. But never a problem at Yoder) and despite it being Father's Day, they were swift, attentive, and even plucked me out of the line when they could tell I was prepared to order while the others in front of me were still waffling. They are an observant and hard-working bunch and when I requested a cut that the case did not have, they immediately checked in to having it cut fresh for me and promptly filled my order. 8 filets, 2 sirloins, and 2 strip steaks to feed the family and nothing but satisfied, food-coma sufferers in our home. My dad is a beef connoisseur from a farming community with incredible readily-available beef and was very pleased, as I always am, with the quality and freshness.I will continue to make Yoder a stop when i visit home from KC as I am still enjoying the delicious filets back home that I transported back with me.Thank you Yoder :)

I was trying to call and order meat for a burger stand I am doing. But with the Coutmer service I got, I will never reccomend this Yoder meats to anyone. They asked me for my order was, then asked if I was serouis and hung up. I found it really disrespectful. I always tried to get my partner to call and place a order too. They one again hung up. SoI called the other Yoder meats on west street and they were happy to take my order. So I did not understand what the problem was here.

Not very impressive steaks. The Rib eyes hada bunch of fat on the edge that should be trimmed but wasn't and they wouldnt cut me any... A butcher shop would attempt to serve customers....like Sigs in DerbyFirst Rate shop.. will do anything for customers 5-star place...

They have been great up until now. I just thawed a batch of ribs and it was rotten. I nearly gagged when I opened the package. To think I and guests of mine would have eaten these tomorrow. I will be visiting the store to see how they handle this.

I ordered bacon wrapped filets. When i came home, the steaks were not bacon wrapped. I find this unacceptable considering the price i paid. I also had to wait 15 minutes ine the store for a wrong order. I won't be back.

I normally love this place!! But showed up 5 minutes before closing and the case was already emptied and none of the employees were willing to pull out the center cut filets to get me the 4 I needed. I'll be back because I love there steaks. Gus I'll just try to get there earlier. Not sure how early I have to be!!!

EXCELLENCE, AT IT BEST WITH YODER MEATS!!! I really enjoy the sirloins and ribeye steaks as well as their homemade sausages etc. And the fact that the meats are local Kansas meats. Way to knock it outa the park guy's! I for one am extremely impressed. I can can sum YODER meats up with one word. EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Keep up the great work.
