This day and age it is hard to find customer service at most retail places. The Ace hardware located at Central and Tyler is not one of these places! They go above and beyond for their customers! The glass in my storm door got broken. A day full of severe storms was in the forecast. I wanted to protect my interior door and time was of the essence. Erick (assistant manager), and Brianna ( associate) understood the urgency and and quickly cut me two pieces of glass to fit my storm door window. They were absolutely amazing!If you are looking for impeccable customer service with a hardware store, this is the one to go to!

The store was clean, staff was a bit lacking at times and hard to find, but once I did, it was a great experience and he was very knowledgeable about Stihl products. Overall happy with Ace as a whole!

I had two kitchen knives sharpened. They weren't sharpened to original sharpness but I think they are as good as the machine can do. The associate who assisted me was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Couldn't find what I was after. Cashier was too busy texting on her phone to help me. She just pointed me to the locked up products that I couldn't see because they were locked up, which I assume she knew. I had to go ask for more help to be able to actually look at the products. They used to have good service here. That's obviously changed.

Ace Hardware is one of the few places to find Mrs. Stewart's blueing. Count on Ace for items that you don't find on every store shelf.I didn't find the product right away so I asked an employee for assistance.. didn't get her name.. but she was nice and definitely helpful because we went an aisle over, there it was. We chatted a bit about the product, had a little laugh, then headed for the register.The clerk there was courteous.. I made my purchase.. and out the door.I did check online first to make sure which store had this product in stock.. not always a guarantee, but it was correct this time.

I went here for specialty orchid potting soil which the nursery was out of. I also got a special Miracle Gro plant food for orchids. This place was prepared.

I get ignored every time I come in here and often end up having to go to Home Depot or Lowe's. If you are younger don't waste your time with this store.

Cashier always seems to be having a chip on her shoulder she's not very polite she doesn't smile she doesn't greet properly I go there only because it's convenient trust and believe I'd rather not go there at least not to this particular one

I really like this place, they have just about everything. You are always greeted when you come in. You don't have to search for an hour to find someone to help you. When the you do ask for help they greet you with a smile and don't make you feel like they really want to be somewhere else instead of helping you. I can not recall ever having a bad experience at this hardware store. Needed a couple O-rings. They have a huge selection on the end of the plumbing accessories aisle.

Went to two different Ace stores. If they have simple household doors hinges, they are not easy to find. But, was happy to find an inexpensive smoke detector.

I purchased potting soil. I waited for 15 minutes for someone for someone to load it. I waited outside for 10 minutes for someone to come.out. No one came so I had to call the store for someone to come & help me. I had been in the store a week ago, & I was overcharged even tho I showed them the add. I will not go back to that store

Avoid this location; they used to be helpful. NOT any more, they are too busy talking and not working. This has occurred more than one time recently in last few months... they used to be helpful. I recommend you don't waste your time, go to another location.

Returned an item and bought a different item. No problems. Was asked by 2 people if I needed help. Thought I didn't so the second one got to help. Very nice, clean store with helpful people. The woman who checked me out remembered me from last visit when I left my purchase in the basket. We had a giggle over that.

Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. I am always greeted asked several times by different employees if I am finding what I need or need help out. The store is always very clean and well stocked. Once they even kept the store open for me to finish my shopping list. Very family oriented store. It's my favorite ACE.

Decent selection. Couldn’t find dishwasher parts I was looking for. Their staff wasn’t very helpful either, since after looking for 15 min, they set us up with the wrong part. Prices seem a little expensive, but Ace’s niche seems to be community center convenience and not low price or high quality.

Great local Ace with friendly staff and almost everything you'd need for quick home projects. Small tooling area compared to some other Ace stores, but the essentials.They've got a great collection of local pottery during planting season too!

I enjoyed going to this ACE over larger chains due to their manager and the lovely woman in their paint department, Peggy!! This last visit there were new staff members who treated me as more of a nuisance when I needed help in the paint department. The reason for a 1 🌟 rating is a female staff member made a derogatory remark about me not realizing I was walking up behind them. Thereafter the male staffer attempted to completely change his tone when he gave me the paint. This was extremely unprofessional and demeaning. I will not be returning here anytime soon.

Not only does this exact store carry most tools for any general household job... But without any doubt one of the most competent staffs to assist on most any type of job... And you won't have to hunt for them... They will find you... I always look forward to their help if needed or just genuine attention and kindness...

I have never gone to an Ace Hardware store in Wichita and not found what I was looking for. Very knowledgeable and caring staff is always available to help you find even the most hard to find item. I have challenged them so many times and they have always come through for me. Highly recommended!

Westlake has some things that Lowe's and home Depot does not have sometimes they're open when those two other stores are not like on the holidays
