Our little puppy has been sick almost since we got him on April 14. He has a parasite that he got there, which our other puppy that was his mate in the cage also has. I am also having bloody diarrhea and am on antibiotics for the same thing that I started being treated for on the 19th. We are sitting at the emergency vet right now because he is lethargic and isn’t even excited to go outside to potty. I would NEVER buy another puppy from this place and will do what I can to see this business is closed permanently💔💔💔. We didn’t leave the er vet until after 8. We had to leave Beaus there and Buttons is missing him. Our little guy has hookworms which the Dr said could have very well come from his mom through her milk. He is anemic and has a mass or something in his tummy. We won’t know until tomorrow morning if he has to have surgery. It is costing us a lot of money but even worse is the fear and sickness in his eyes. My mom and I are not happy campers. PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELVES SOME HEARTACHE AND DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM PETLAND.

The only reason your getting 2 stars instead one 1 is because I love this dog. The cashier that checked us out, super rude. Doesn’t want to be there. The guy and girl that was handing out the puppies to everyone, they were working their butts off.These dogs are super over priced. The “Kit” that comes with your dog.. don’t waste your money. The spray “pee here” doesn’t work. Dog bed is a thin mat, treats she don’t even like. (Supposedly that’s what they had there), toys that are useless. They give you a cage that’s too big for the animal. We got the Sheltie and the cage they helped us pick out fits our full grown German Shepard.You can tell they never been outside before. Scared of the wind. Trying to get in the house to pee since they just pee where they sleep. Should be illegal. Dogs stuck in windowed cages all day. Being passed from stranger to stranger. I honestly think if you’re going to sell puppies they should take their business to the out skirts of town so the dogs have a place to go outside.It took days to get her to be comfortable enough to even bark. Now she runs around playing with the German shepherd and pit bull.Also, the “first vet visit is free if you take it to our vet” is half way true. ONLY the exam is free. Then they want you to get all their shots and they don’t even give rabies shots. Plus if you live away from Wichita, just remember you will only have 4 days to get her to their vet or make your appointment or your “warranty” is not valid anymore.Do not waste your money on these puppies. Look for actual breeders. $4k for a husky!! $3700 for gold retriever! Run people. Just run.

The last 2 dogs came from Petland East. I called yesterday. asked what was the price range on a female we saw on line. The girl told me if we live less than 100 mi, she would not tell me. To help readers, I figured it out! They ask too much!. The price range is $2K to over $4K. We were looking for a family member not a show dog! PETLAND WEST!! Very clean place, healthy pets. Most have excellent pedigree. Ask for Kalie! Pleasant, knowledgeable no pressure. Your response was a canned answer. Do you guys think we are going to call again! We are abou 50 mi. round trip. That's far enough so see rude people & not well cared pets?

I have called this store a handful of times and every single time they are EXTREMELY rude.Unbelievely rude.I would have 1000% bought a puppy today, if they had been more kind.I asked if I could be notified about a certain puppy on price drops, which I know for a fact they have done for someone else. I have their texts. And they refused. When I asked about this dog, they don't do prices over the phone. Only set up appointments. I dont live that close, so I need information before.When I asked about dropping to a price the lady scoffed like I was an idiot. Even though a puppy has before (again proof on text alerts), and this puppy has been there for some time.I was not rude once. I simply stated why couldn't I have the same service as another.I've not had that issue with the other store.East side must be full of a-holes. And it is said because it was one I've been watching for over a month with full interest. I've gotten pets at petland before. But not the east side, because they have not once been pleasant.

Most of the puppy's looked sick. We were their over an hour. 1 puppy never moved, several of them had really bad diehhera. I told 3 different staff about it & nothing was done! They could not prove to me a puppy being looked at had, had any shots for Provo, & Distemper!! Showed lots of nonsense on the paperwork & the so called legitimate breeder... could not be found by Google. I don't recommend buying a puppy at any of these stores!!

I bought my puppy from this store two years ago. When I had gotten him the man selling me him was super nice and sweet. Problems started happening when I got home and my puppy had Bordetella aka kennel cough. Mind you my puppy was 12 weeks old when I got him. He was/still is incredibly skittish with strangers.Now since he is a mini Aussie I stepped into the world of dog sports and I was told he was pure bred and ethically bred. When I tried to get more info on his pedigree for UKC and AKC so I can do full competitions not just pal ones I found out he is in fact from a puppy mill in Kansas and the people who bred him have over 250 dogs and have been repeatedly cited for dirty conditions and poorly dogs.I love this little man to death but the fact I was lied to when I was as ignorant as I was a way over paid for the price of $600 from that mill directly. I paid $3,600 for him and when I got him he was sick and had to stay at the vet because he was that bad less than being a week home.Save your money I know the puppy for life thing is nice but know what I do know and hunting down the breeders the way I had to I feel sick. It explains a lot of why he is the way he is and I am worried about doing a DNA test cause I am 90% certain he’s a mix cause he has curly hair not as much as a doodle or poodle but close enough to suspect something.So in conclusion do I regret buying him not at all, am I upset at myself for spending as much as I did for a puppy who was sick and much more expensive than he should of been yes I’m furious about this. I was charmed by charismatic employees and fuzzy puppy kisses.

Run!!!!! They sold me a sick dog and false advertisement, I have the receipts to prove it. I point blank asked them if the pup was sick after some watery stool in the play area, they pretended to ask vet tech, then said no. Full blown diarrhea after purchase. Real vet said she had giardia, a parasite from nasty water. She also has a hernia birth defect that was not disclosed to me. They said I could take to any vet but fine print says the warranty is voided if u do. I paid roughly $3500 for a very sick puppy. It was extremely stressful. They lied about the price too. Sign said all pups were on sale, then they tell me that mine isn't after I've decided I want her. Very shady! I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.

The pet counselor girl that helped us with out pup back tracked a lot and made frequent mistakes while pitching to us like there’s a lack of training. On top of that we are advertised that dogs are healthy to rehome, ect. Then come to find out that my pup is not the only one to leave this place with KENNEL COUGH AND AN EAR INFECTION also let’s mention cropping puppies is inhumane. No reason for it cosmetically and the dogs DO NOT come fixed or anything so they go out of their way to crop baby dogs. Vets they send you to are annoyed with the sick puppies from this place and I was told it’s a normal thing coming from pet land.

The staff is friendly and helpful, their education of the birds in the facility are lacking and the cost is a bit excessive compared to local parrot stores, but they are amazing with all the dogs and furry friends. They always help carry and load heavy items or bulky ones. They always take the time to answer your questions. Customer service is above and beyond.

Before today i would not have bought a dog from a pet store but after going in today, I would be comfortable buying one here. While there is no indication how the animals bred are treated, it did seem to me Petland stood behind the quality of the dogs they sell. The store and cages were clean and the employees were knowledgable and friendly. They will give you a discount if you make an apointment to see the puppies when you go to buy one.

My first experience buying anything at a pet land and it was amazing. All of the staff was very nice and while checking out the lady at the register was very informative on hermit crabs. She got me set up witth a rewards as well. Her name was Emily I think, dirty blonde hair. I love that she knew exactly what she was talking about, none of that petco 1.5 gallon BS. She definitely deserves a raise or something!!! 😊Emily if you see this THANK YOU SO MUCH!(Just some of the things I purchased tonight)

Walked in to see the puppies. Did not expect to leave with one. They got me. But ours is a sweet little miniature dachshund.Honestly though, if I did it all over again I would save the $500 that they "throw in" at "no charge." They definitely charge for it. It's just wrapped up in their pricing. They charge $500 for about $80 worth of stuff.Still a good experience.

Got a sweet Aussie pup from there two days ago. She was coughing a little bit at the store, and when I asked about it, I was told that she was just really excited. Not thinking much of it, we ended up getting her and taking her home. Today, two days after I got her, I took her to the vet and found out she has kennel cough. This is highly contagious among dogs, and very dangerous especially with puppies. This means the other dog who was in the same kennel as her must have had it too. I have one other puppy living in the same house as us, who is a week younger than her. I hope she doesn’t catch this too. No telling what kind of diseases and viruses all of those poor pups might be carrying.. Petland provides a health sheet (which is the initial checkup status of the dog) and a feeding sheet. Her health sheet claimed she had perfect health. Her sheet for feeding wasn’t filled out all they way, so no indication of when the last time she ate was. I did call the manager, Dustin, and he claimed there’s nothing he could do for the other dogs in that place, or even the one who was in the same kennel as her. Not even let people know he may have a disease. Buying a dog from petland almost guarantees you’re buying a sick dog. Petland did cover the medication for the dog, but she was sick when we got her, they knew that, and they lied about it.On top of this all, she was dirty from her mess she made in the kennel on her back legs. When we gave her back to get ready to take her home with us, she wasn’t cleaned up and she had some sort of perfume on her to cover the smell. Poor pup.

Both times have been completely ignored even though there are several employees walking around playing on their phones. Never even acknowledged I was in their store. The owners of petland east are very caring and generous people. They are the reason my little 9 lb furbaby Dixie is recovering from a vicious 50+ lb dog attack on 6-9-20. My husband, Terry & I purchased an amazing little 2 1/2 mo old Female Golden Retriever in July 2023. Although she was very pricey…. She grabbed at our heart…. We have lived with her and our 5yr old Fe Lab & 12yr old Fe Beagle for 2 1/2mo and our Miss Kayleigh Dawn Angelique is absolutely worth every Penny we spent… she is gorgeous, friendly, caring, loving, very smart… I have done her training so far from my years of dog experience, and she now at nearing 5 mo is one of our family… the other girls adore her, Kayleigh loved them at first glance… they are indoor pets but have access to 7acres of Invisible Fencing, and a pond, so she is in heaven.I’ve had dogs all my life, but I can say this little girl is as amazing as they come….I would only say, choose wisely when purchasing and understand what being a pet parent is going to require…. Yes they’ll love you unconditionally but they will need your unconditional support, help, training, and tons of love… they don’t take care of themselves.. feeding times, potty times.. yes, once I was asked if the puppy I was selling was “Potty trained!!!!” No they don’t come potty trained at that young of an age.The Customer Service at Petland East, has been amazing as well. Even after the sale.One more thing we have sufficient Crates for each of our girls for resting, when I’ll, and for bedtime. During the day, unless they’ve been soaking wet we use it after towel drying to let them dry warmer. Our girls have an open door crate during the day on normal occasions and none have ever, including our baby Kayleigh, have had an accident in their own space.Hoping others find their special family Pet!!

Petland is ok for cats and dogs, they are although very pricey with the cockatiels, I've done my research and found Parrot House Exotics in Derby to be much cheaper and the owner hand feeds them, which means, when you adopt them they are ready to be held. She also DNA test them. Petland sells thier cockatiels at $400.00. And Parrot House Exotics sells them at $200 for non-Whiteface and $300 for Whiteface. Petland kinda knows about thier cockatiels, while Parrot House Exotics owner and employees is very knowledgeable. And have lots of toys and food and experience.

I drove 2 hours to Petland in East Wichita, because when I called them, I was told that they carried a specific product. Once I got there, they in fact DID NOT carry the product. When I spoke with the manager on duty, she gave me the attitude of 'sorry about your luck.' I WILL NOT be doing business with Petland and I am also concerned about all the puppies that are being displayed. Are they from PUPPY MILLS? I sent a message to the corporate office on Monday, Aug 7th, but have still not heard anything back from them either.

Read the reviews before going in, cannot stress this enough. Understand prior to going there that puppies “on sale” are still thousands of dollars over priced but you will not find that out until you’ve been with the pup for awhile. Their warranty is “limited” as in VERY limited, it will not provide the peace of mind you’d hope. We bought a pup and Took to our family vet and found she had Giardia, and pneumonia.. The warranty covered very little of the total costs, mostly because I did not use their vet. Called Petland to tell them since our pups brother was still there and was told “the store vet is treating them, you just have to submit a claim”. I will be filling a better business bureau report. They made what should have been a great experience and turned it into something ugly for our family.

I loved going to petland. I have been looking for a small dog since my sweet baby passed away in oct.I checked alot of shelters in the surrounding area, and the little dogs cost so much money. So A friend and I made the trip to Wichita to go to pet land. Well it was very well kept. It didn't smell bad. But the price on these dogs is enough to feed a couple for a few months. I found the most precious Pomeranian puppy, there was a tag that said 50 percent off. I couldn't contain myself I was so happy this was gonna be it. Surely 50 percent off is going to be a good deal. WRONG.!!! My friend asked how much for the dog . They said$ 1900. My mouth hit the floor. So imagine what full price was if that was 50 percent off. I didn't get a dog!!:

How can anyone buy a single thing from these people? I hope your over priced dogs were worth the hell their mother's go thru in puppy mills. You buy a puppy from them, you support puppy mills. Disgusting!Now, their puppies from the horrific puppy mills have been linked to Campylobacter. This is very serious! Quit purchasing anything from these demons. Close them down!Anyone who purchases anything from any Petland across the U.S., truly does not care about animals. I hope you sleep well knowing you support puppy mills!!!!
