Great service this morning. Went in to get a 40 gallon breeder tank but was concerned about leaking. The expert answered my questions and even inspected a tank for me to ensure it was in good condition. Then I enjoyed speaking with the guy at the register who is always a pleasant employee. I don't remember their names but good guys!

Walked in and some people asked if we needed help, very friendly and polite. I was mostly just looking around, but I found something I wanted to try for my pupper and he loved it. Helpful employees, clean store, and lots of options for products

Found a product online and went to the store to pick it up. There was not enough in stock for what we needed and the price was listing different in-store. The sales rep helped correct the price and ordered more of the product and shipped it to our house. She was very friendly and helpful.We usually bring our dogs here for their baths. The ladies there are very good with our fur babies and the pricing is reasonable.

Most ridiculous, grooming experience ever. The groomer and I discussed the length of her fur to be left and agreed that we should shave her tummy and behind her ears because of matting.When I picked her up, they had shaved her completely all over. Then they charged me a fee for removing the mats when they didn’t do anything about the mats, they shaved her!!! On top of that, they charged me an additional $6 fee for “materials”. When I questioned what that was, they informed me that that was for the shampoo and conditioner to use on the dog. WTH??? Apparently a bath/groom doesn’t include the shampoo for the dog. I guess you just bathe them with water for that price!! They informed me that they started doing that after Covid and I informed them that that was false advertising because it should be included in the price that you post for a bath!!! Needless to say, I will not be returning!

Delaney! She is amazing! She specializes in the birds there. I called around to all of the pet stores around to look for a lovebird to add to my little bird collection and unfortunately no one really had any ready to take home yesterday. She was extremely sweet on the phone and definitely knows what she’s doing! I drove 30 minutes to their store to take home a bird, I ended up with another parakeet , wasn’t really looking for another one but Delaney really helped me out! I live in derby, we have a petco here but definitely going to start going to the maize one just because of how helpful they were and personable, they really care about these animals!Below the little green guy is the one we ended up taking home! He’s the sweetest thing ever, stepped up even on day one.

I took my Goldendoodle in on January 20th 2024. He was 7months old sweet and cute. The lady the groomed him shaved him down to his scalp. He was so fluffy and cute. He did have a very little matting around his nose. ( so I figured they might have to cut that part short. But to shave his whole body in the middle of winter was absolutely ridiculous!! I was so upset and disappointed I couldn’t even talk to the women! I will never take my dog back there again. I advise no one ever take their dog there!! I wish I could post pictures!

Miss Tiffany is just wonderful. She takes beautiful care of my fur baby. My puppy comes into the salon looking like she had wrestled a bulldog, but comes out looking like an AKC Cover Girl! Miss Tiffany is also very sweet and has a good sense of humor!

The Vetco staff here is amazing! I can not compliment them enough. They saved our girl! Very personable and down to earth. You don’t feel like they are talking in code or over your head. They are great at being up front with pricing ahead of time. Transparent is how they operate and we appreciate it so much!

Overpriced. Animals are overcrowded, especially the fish. The burrowing tarantulas don't even have enough dirt in the cages to burrow! Appalling. Betta fish are kept in plastic containers that can only hold 1 cup of water. No wonder they are so lethargic! Superworms are about $5 per 40 beetles. Go to Exotic Pets if you want arthropods that aren't sold at exorbitant prices. It's $1.25 per 25 beetles there. The only reason petco gets 2 stars is because it's in a convenient location.

I've been coming here for decades. They almost always have what we need, especially specific brands for our pickiest critters. Dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and fish supplies we've gotten here but plenty for other animals too!

Outside their annoying attempts to tie your purchase to a phone number for everything, when declined, they make you wait for a manager. After 5 minutes, I just walk away.

I will not shop at this store anymore after witnessing two workers being yelled at. If verbal abuse is how managers treat their coworkers, I don't want to be a part of it—especially since it seems one of those workers was trans. I don't care if they were sitting down or using the phone; that's not an excuse to harass workers. We're not in the early 2000s. Treat your workers with respect, or I'm not coming back.

Website wouldn't recognize my password. I know it was correct as I use a password manager. When I tried to reset it, I never received an email to reset it. After waiting for a couple hours, I tried to reset it using the app and it finally sent me an email and was able to reset it.After placing my order, I never received an email confirmation of the order and never received notification that the order was ready to be picked up. My wife called to confirm the order was received and that it was ready to pick up.Not sure what is going on with the Petco website and app, but lately it's been a huge inconvenience. Pet Supplies Plus is a FAR easier purchasing experience.

Don't know if I upset the cashier in any way, or maybe it wasn't his day. Paid for my stuff, and it was enough to require 2 bags, but he didn't want to bag them. He bagged the items for the woman in front of me but made eye contact with me as he said, "He wasn't required to bag my items." Didn't care to get his name it was 100° out, and I just wanted to get home.

Not the stores fault. Customer Service nonexistent via phone for their Repeat delivery service. They provide no updates look they state they will. NEVER use their repeat delivery service, your pet will go hungry. PetSmart has 99.9% of the same stuff if you have to use a big company to get a specific brand.

It's a large clean well lit store that needs more employees. They have a huge variety of pet treats, toys, and necessities including live animals. Do your research before you go or you will spend a lot of time walking back and forth with questions if you're in a time crunch. It's a great store for variety & gifts.

Pet Co. is a pet store on Maize street that not only has amazing staff but also had just what we were looking for. Some of the fish we couldn't find we managed to get at a later time and everything worked out. Overall a great clean place to shop for your animals!
