The ultimate shop for exotic pet needs on the westside of Wichita. It’s a mesmerizing setup of live reptiles, fish, and so much more for sale. This fascinating shop offers everything needed to house and feed rare and unusual animals, with a dynamic and highly experienced staff to assist its customers. Ever since opening this location out west, it has been a game changer in convenience, saving me tons of travel time for feeders and supplies. I highly recommend this business to all of those in the lifestyle of alternative pet ownership or to anyone looking to begin a rewarding hobby with an extraordinary animal.

Love going to this store! I have grown quite the shopping list now and there is always someone there to help me quickly and efficiently. I recently got my bearded dragon from them. He was really healthy and the staff was very knowledgeable on his proper care.

Updated review:Our first review was when the store first opened. It's still a beautiful set ip but the customer service is lacking. We were there for 42 minutes looking at Tarantulas before anyone asked if we needed help. They weren't busy. Finally the one person we saw working ended up helping us. It's not the first time we've experienced this. We have bought several Tarantulas from this location. If the other location had more of an assortment we would only go there.They have an amazing set up. The store is absolutely beautiful. The selection is great. Te employees are very helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Friendly staff and an amazing selection of beautiful fish and reptiles plus all the supplies you need. They made great recommendations of which plants and fish to go with to help me build a beautiful tank. They also carry the aquarium coop line.

Absolutely amazing experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking into getting a reptile for their kid. We were there for almost 2 hours today (as my son is Autistic and had MANY questions). I let the staff know we had no intention of buying today, this was for us to look around and show my son the possibilities for when he gets a pet in a bit over a year. They still were incredibly helpful. One gal in particular (I feel so bad I can't recall her name) was so patient with my son. Let him hold a ball python and a bearded dragon. Let him touch a gecko. It gave my kid a real understanding of what he wants. His face lit up getting to hold the ball and bearded. Everyone was helpful though and very knowledgeable. All the tanks were beautiful and clean. 100% this is where we are going to go when we start buying supplies and ultimately buy him his first reptile. Thank you so much for such an amazing shopping experience even though we weren't getting anything today. Y'all rock. Plus... now my kid has fish off his radar of pets he wants because he got so interested in the reptiles. Thank goodness lol!

This place is amazing! Customer service and their knowledge is unbeatable. Very clean store, doesn’t smell like other places I’ve visited. Healthiest pets to purchase in Wichita. I have a couple of pets from them. Very large selection of healthy feeder bugs priced the lowest I’ve found in town. Let’s talk about their enclosures! They are absolutely the best I’ve found! Easy to assemble and price point is cheaper than others.I could keep going on and on for days about Exotic Pets-BOTH locations but it won’t even begin to do them justice so just go see for yourself! I promise they won’t disappoint you!Ps check out the reptarium at the east side location it’s beautiful!

We went in yesterday just to browse the fish and as always there was a great selection kept in free flowing tanks. No bettas in Dixie cups here! Each area of the store we visited, an employee asked if we were finding that we needed in a super friendly manner. This place is way cooler than your average pet store. Better selection of aquarium fish thank youll find anywhere in Wichita as well! I'm a bug fan! 10/10!

We absolutely love their stores. We have bought many of our tarantulas from them and they have been great. All staff is knowledgeable and if it is not their area they know they find a staff member that knows about the reptile/amphibian you are asking about. Highly recommend them

I go here every two weeks to get live rats. Staff is always helpful and on top of things. The only place I go to for my snake and every time I have a question they have an answer.Especially love the reputation they added to their other location and my daughter loves coming in every time

I’ve been thinking about buying an axolotl but was unsure and wanted a professionals point of view on obtaining one and so when I called the store a gentleman named Dylan, answered every one of my concerning questions about having one, their food, their environment, the price on everything and how I can be a good axolotl mom and now I feel so much more confident on getting one and will be buying one later this month! I’m super excited and happy that I can always go back to the store and receive GREAT customer service!

They have some of the coolest reptiles I've ever seen, and really knowledgeable staff! Plus, way cheaper feeders than regular pet stores. If you're a reptile/ exoskeleton animal lover, I DEFINITELY recommend this place!

Just bought the most beautiful Betta from Exotic Pets west location. His colors are vibrant, he is healthy and active and all of the fish were displayed in 1 gallon mini tanks instead of those awful cups you see at other pet stores. You can tell that the employees really love fish and reptiles and know how to care for them properly! Excellent experience.

O-M-G! I am visiting and this was on my top to-see list. Did not disappoint! If you are into reptile or fish, it's heaven. Every corner, every isle had something exciting. Dinosaurs everywhere! Animals I've never seen before! Decor (store and cage) that is just fantastic. I am so very jealous we do not have anything close to this in my home town. Customer service was wonderful too! I was in there the other day and had the best experience. I am a little new at my salt water fish tank hobby and so I assume I looked a little lost. A very knowledgeable young associate named Bryton swooped in and helped me solve my algae issue and went to great lengths to make sure I felt comfortable with my solution. The staff at this location really seem to prioritize education and customer experience and it goes without saying that we appreciate their knowledge!

This store is amazing! They were very helpful while setting up my new habitat for my classroom tree frog! They were very informative to parents coming in to purchase items. And of course - they always have feeders at a great price for all of my reptile and amphibian friends. Look at this beautiful set-up we created!

Very friendly staff. Lot of diversity. Really cool to walk around for an endless amount of time. Can't wait to bring my girl here and let her check it out. She had just been to the Show Me reptile expo in Illinois, after talking to her, prices are really good. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Friendly and helpful staff, a rewards program that actually gives you rewards without spending hundreds, decent prices, well kept critters and always have feeders on hand. I live a couple hours away but this is the place to come when you need anything herp or fish related.

Great place to get supplies for your 'other' pets! Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. Pets for sale are always healthy. I will not go anywhere else for my reptiles feeder insects.

My husband & I love fish & spend big money on them whenever we go to Wichita to shop for fish...Unfortunately they have a crazy no fish on Wednesday rule regardless of circumstances. My husband works every day but Wednesday & we live over 2hrs from Wichita...I even called & attempted to explain this to them, to no avail. They will not accommodate us. So we called a few other stores & found 1 other store that was actually closed on Wednesday, however they came in to work on their day off & opened up the store in order to allow us to shop for fish in their store...In total we spent roughly $260-$270 just on fish, food/feeders & some new fish equipment/heaters/filters/& a couple small tanks for quarantine tanks...We get the whole "let the fish rest after being delivered" theory cuz we've been fish hobbyist's for over a decade so we understand how stress is not good for fish. So we get the theory from a fish hobbyist's point of view...That said, from a business standpoint, we're havin a hard time comprehending that move considering we didn't ask them, "we want to buy the fish you JUST received today & nothing else." We'd be happy & infact prefer to buy the fish that have been in the store for some time so they are less stressed if we purchased them as opposed to the recently delivered batch... If I were owner or manager in this store I'd keep the current policy except for, I'd have a separate small & private room JUST for the newly delivered fish to have a day or 2 to be acclimated & help lower their stress before being introduced to the store & it's customers. That way I could keep the entire store open during working hours so that customers like my husband & I can enjoy the same great experience all customers get to & mainly for the fact that I wouldn't be missing out on any potential to generate income....But I'm not the owner or manager so all I can do is offer a suggestion & continue spending our $ at other fish stores in Wichita unfortunately & continue to hope they can figure out a way that we can spend our money in their store someday & enjoy their fish inventory that we can only guess is very beautiful & impressive (since we have not even been able to see it in person as the room itself is even closed to any customer traffic) ....Extremely disappointed & saddened by this lunacy!

Very clean, very knowledgeable place to purchase pets. Staff are always working on helping. The only takeaway is the day we went the back area was very stuff. However I think cause it was full of people. Prices are fair too.

Knowledgeable and fast! This place is great!! I've been going to this place for a month now, and being a new hobbiest, any question I have, they do their best to answer for me and are extremely cool about it. They do get really busy, but they make sure you get taken care of and the prices are decent and they have a great reward plan.
