If I could give MINUS 5 rating I would. A Family member made an Online purchase using their credit card. I was listed as the pick up person as a truck was need for the $400 excersize equipment. After loading the equipment, I asked for a receipt at the store, the store would not give a receipt? I was told to call customer service. After over an hour on Chat and Customer Service, I was told the pick up person was the Buyer, hoever, a family member used THEIR credit card for the purchase. I will not buy anything else their ever again. Customer care says I should return the equipment (over 300lbs) cancel the transaction, then buy it again. Of course, that ignore the 8 hours to assemble the home Gym. That is not good customer service, not even close.

The store was clean, everything has been very organized when I’ve been in store, but the staff keeps to themselves. I was looking for some items on my last visit and no I didn’t ask for help but this is the first place that I’ve stood next to several employees where Not a single one asked if they could help or anything. They didn’t say a single word. In that situation, I clearly would have needed assistance. Two employees stood chatting as I walked back and forth between a couple aisles. I typically like the space to shop without being asked a million times if I need help but it was a new experience to not get asked if I needed assistance at least once.

Academy Sports is my go-to store for anything athletic or outdoors related. They have a wide selection of options from many top-name vendors. I have found their prices to be competitive, their staff to be competent, and they're in stock items plentiful. Thank you for being a local place that I can buy what I need rather than have to order everything off of your online portal!

Had to go to two different locations to find the boots that I wanted to buy. The boots were on sale. But they didn't have the sale price on the boots. I showed an associate a web page with the sale price he scanned the bar code and said that the boots were on sale. My friend was truly thankful for the boots and the secret Santa 🎅

They closed the doors 15 min early at 8:45 even though we called and let them know we were on the way.It does not make sense to me why you have hours posted if you do not follow them for your customers.

Nice selection on shoes and Nike and addidas apparel. Some items are a little high on price but they always do clearance sales on inventory.

Friendly knowledgeable staff and when they thought they were out of an item I wanted they checked the back and found 1 item left and dug it out for me. And even gave me a 10 percent discount when thebdiscount period had ended.

Very impressed with their low prices on sketchers today. I was able to walk out spending less than $41.00 on a pair of nice shoes! The sale ended today and with the $15.00 off when applying for the credit card I just immediately paid it off and it's all gravy. The store is very clean and the staff is very friendly and professional and answered all my questions. I will come back in another year for some shoes!

This place has absolutely anything that you could need for sports... I was actually able to find a pair of size seven running shoes which was very surprising. Nice clean store friendly people I would highly recommend.

Would have been 5 stars but the employee wanted to argue on the posted price. The manager agreed the price posted was the price and gave it to me at the reduced price. $399.00 from a regular $499.00I have shopped there in the past and generally had good experiences.

I have bought 2 guns, hundreds or rounds of ammo, outfits for the whole family and so much more from them.They stand behind their products and their people and I have only had amazing experiences here.The female manager who helped me at the gun bar went out of her way to meet my needs.Excellent job all around!

Went shopping for a basketball goal for my Sons Christmas present. I informed them that I wasn't sure if it would fit in my car. They said oh that's okay let's try it. I told them if it didn't fit that I would have my Dad pick it up with his truck shortly. They said oh sure no problem. Guess what, it didn't fit. Mind you I already paid for the item. So, I said can you put it aside, and my Dad will pick it up shortly. Then they said oh sorry we cant hold it for you to pick up later. They said I would have to do a return, and come back and re-purchase it. (Refunds take up to 5 business days to show back up on cards) Now, keep in mind had they informed me this in the first place, I wouldn't have bought it. Then, I said no I don't want to do a return. So, I did an exchange for another goal. It was the same price, but much smaller and fit in my car. No one helped me get it into my car, and a nice man in the parking lot (customer) offered to help put in my vehicle. Overall a horrible experience.

I went in to find good shoes for waitressing and the cheapest they had, on clearance, were $69.99 but they weren't my size! Hubby couldn't find decent, calf-high work boots (NOT cowboy boots!) either! Disappoint. Out of my price range. Guess I'll have to look some more.

William was amazing he helped us above and beyond he left to let us try things on and he came back to check on us. We Still needed help and he was to the rescue my kids have big fat feet and Academy didn’t have much on sizes we needed but he stood the task and helped until we found something. Thanks Willam

Always get the best service at Academy. They are very helpful. Great prices, and when something might be on sale elsewhere, just have to show them where, they will price match.
