The Wellington Humane Society is a beautiful facility with awesome staff and volunteers. They truly care about the animals and our community. I wouldn't get a pet from anywhere else. We have had our cat since 2020 and love her so much! Thank you for all you guys do!

I was looking for a small dog and have been fostering one.... She is a doll.... I recommend this Humane Society for mostly big dogs and if you are patient enough they do get a few small dogs!!!!Great experience, clean shelter and very friendly staff to help you!!!

I fell in love with a black male kitten named Cowardly Lion, he was cuddly, purring and very vocal. I wish I was able to take him home, 2 much older pets at home or I would have.

The employees were all very helpful and the facilities were very clean and a wonderful atmosphere. They offer so much here and have knowledge of anything you may have a question about. I appreciated the compassion I was shown from several employees. We had a great experience and will be back and recommend for everyone to try a visit.

I enjoyed this beautiful facility and the wonderful staff so much that I've been volunteering for the past couple of weekends.I'm really enjoying getting to know not only the staff but all the cats and dogs. The staff sincerely cares for these fur babies! I have no doubts there!Two of my favorite cats got adopted this weekend. It was amazing! I hate to see them go because you want to have that connection. In the end it's an indescribable feeling to get them adopted into a home!I can't rave enough! It is my honor to lend a hand in this wonderful cause.

There were some med and large dogs. I was looking for a small one. They also had allot of cats. I wish everyone would get their new family member from them.

I adored the staff working on the day my husband and I fostered a dog mix, who’s name is Mildred. Unfortunately, we couldn’t keep her (but she was so good). What caught my eye the most when at the shelter, is how much she truly liked the women showing her to us. They keep things clean and they seem to truly care about the animals that are in the shelter. When our circumstances change, I am sure we will look at this shelter again!

OMG!! I petted every cat in all three cat rooms this afternoon!!! I'm in love with Biggie and Stretch!! Everyone was so nice and left me all by myself to enjoy the cats!!! I cooed and baby talked to my hearts content!!! It was glorious!!! 😻💚

I was curious about the new humane society so I went for a visit. I wasn't shopping for anything but wanted to see it for myself. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The building was definitely worth waiting for because it is an amazing facility. It's going to be a real asset for the folks of Wellington. They have several sitting rooms where you're able to get aquatinted with your future rescued family member. If you have a few minutes to spare it would behoove you to stop by and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Adopted 2 kittens on Thursday night. While on site, we had questioned some intermittent breathing issues but were assured that it was normal for kittens. However there were several kittens in quarantine for upper respiratory infections. This promoted me to question the breathing again but was assured that a vet had given these 2 a clean bill of health.Over the course of the same night they became worse and we had to take them to a vet first thing the following morning.. Diagnosis? Upper respiratory infection x2, fleas x2, and underweight x2. Obviously we covered these costs and helped to get the animals headed towards healthy.I reached out to the shelter that same afternoon and explained the situation. The response was basically 'sorry but..'. While there was an offer to refund the adoption fee of we wanted to bring them back, there was no acknowledgment that these kittens were clearly not in good health and no good faith lent to helping cover the costs to get them healthy, as they should have been upon adoption.Awaiting a conversation with the Director..

Love the people there and they really do care about your furbabies. A clean and great atmosphere to be in. Easy but protected ascess to see all the animals. And great prices for spaying or for neutering.
