This is the most poorly ran establishment I have ever been to. I have been there in the past and it was fine. It took us over 45 minutes to get 2 cheeseburgers. The was another lady that was STILL waiting on her order when we received ours. Another had been in the drive through when we arrived, a half hour later, they were coming in with melted sundaes still waiting on their food. If you can't handle the people coming in, for goodness sake, close your drive through window! And don't give out the ice cream before the hot food unless requested. WON'T BE BACK!

Wow! Never been here before, drove by all the time as kids but never could get dad to stop. 🤣Finally came in on Saturday and this place is delicious!! All I got was ice cream, a heath Barnbuster. So good!! Definitely recommend.

Great value. Their tenderloin was $6.50 and bigger than my face. Service was great and everything fried to perfection. I didn't find anything healthy here but sometimes that's the point. This is a great stop.

Great small town lunch. Hamburgers and sloppy joes were the best. The raspberry shake was something out of my childhood and the banana split was to die for. Glad we stopped for lunch!

Used to be our go to during big Sparks sale. Now menu looks like nothing but ice cream. Don't see fries on menu and I guess burgers on certain days. Menu was full of great choices. Feel sorry for the town folk they lost a great burger joint. Will be causing right past this place now.

Extremely rude employees. I went in around an hour before they closed they for some dumb reason had the dinning lights off but the kitchen ones were on and the open sign was on. After I walked in one of them turned on the lights and the other literally said "dude keep them off I don't wanna deal with more stupid people tonight" but after they turned on the lights I stood there for 8 minutes for neither of them to even turn around and take my order. The whole time she was on her phone and the boy walked around the back. No one was at the window and no one else was there. Get better employees and you wouldn't have to worry about needing to charge 10$ a hotdog just to barely stay in business.

Had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, a cookie dough infused “Barn Buster,” & a large limeade. Was pretty good. Parking is good & drive through is alright. Inside area has very good views of the US 36 traffic.

We stopped in since they reopened this spring, hoping for something better. What we got were three employees who had no verbal filter, using foul language and totally oblivious to that we had kids in the group. I guess we have another season of driving on past this place. We have gone here for years and it used to be amazing. We literally would stop twice a day sometimes. Now it just continues to disappoint. Mediocre ice cream, and now very limited food choices.

Well, there were three young ladies, no personality whatsoever, thought we would go in like it used to be and have a sandwich and some hot fries.!!!!!Well lo and behold they have no fried foods, no french fries no tenderloins no fried food of any kind!!!!!!!!Our chili dogs were cold they said that would be fried on the grill, they were not, the chili was absolutely horrible!!!!The only thing that was decent was the soda, will never ever recommend this place or never ever go there again!!!

Always excellent quality food and friendly service. Old-school butterscotch sundae is my fave! Totally affordable, too! The only bad thing is that they are closed on Mondays, and I do miss some of the items they used to have on their old menu.

I like the daily mine they had delicious ice cream I got a hot fudge sundae with an order of fries very good for a quick snack. Service was good. The air conditioning was definitely needed and probably could have been turned up just a little bit more. Very satisfied though had Young cashiers and they knew their jobs very professional

This is the definition of small town charm. I always drive through this place and never got the time to stop by. Now I'm gonna stop by every time I'm with someone. This is an experience worth sharing. If you can't decide, get the raspberry shake. Delicious!

This place gets a 5 all day (Day Drops reference). Their tenderloins are really delicious. Of course you absolutely HAVE to get the Triple Pig, it's just all around good. Their ice cream is nothing to write home about, but it's about DQ quality which isn't terrible.Go here for the Hot eats and you won't be disappointed. Also their cheese steak is yummy, double cheeseburgers are 🔥 for a fast food stop. Staff is always very nice and happy to take your order. On top of all of that, their prices are very good.You almost forget they're a fast food joint when diving in.

Every now and then you just want a greesy delicious cheesy burger, well if I'm being honest more than now and then. When you feel that pull and your close to wathena the place to go is Dairy barn. It has that classic feel and the menu is kept simple. They have burgers fries and shakes. #Good eats

I’ve only been to Dairy Barn a small handful of times, and have only been inside once. Food is great, Ice Cream is somehow even better, and the place is generally clean. The employees are very friendly, and I would recommend.

I heard about this place from a co-worker, he said if you're looking for a huge sandwich /burger Dairy Barn is where you want to go! Man was he right I got 2 triple pigs and they were amazing. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good tasting large meal at a medium cost.

Wife had the Triple Pig (1/2 Dairy Barn Tenderloin, 1/3 lb pulled pork, apple wood smoked bacon, onion rings, topped with BBQ sauce), she could not finish it, very very good. I had the double bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries, once again excellent food great service. A nice cozy place to stop for a quick meal of some really great comfort food.

I grew up in Wathena. We went to the Dairy Barn every weekend. I recently went back with my kids... It wasn't as great as I remember. The food was good. However, the staff wasn't half as nice as they used to be. Kind of a let down after my talking it up for so long. It was more like they wanted you to get your food and get out, rather than you having a nice meal.My kids loved the ice cream though!

Extremely slow service, poor quality food, missing items from the order, and overcharging. I have given Dairy Barn several tries and they get it wrong every time. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone. However, the people are nice.The food took 20 minutes to receive after paying at the drive through. That was after waiting for 2 cars in front of me so all together it was probably 35 minutes from the time I pulled in. One problem is that you can't see the menu until you're up at the window, so obviously it slows the entire process down.I ordered the chicken strips and asked for dipping sauce and asked again while receiving the bag if the sauce was in the bag and the attendant replied, "yes." Of course they were not. When I opened the chicken fingers I was shocked to see how small they were for the price which added to the frustration.The attendant also charged me $1 instead of $0.50 for one extra topping which made the barn buster a whopping $5.50 which is very expensive for a 2 topping concrete. The Barn Buster was not mixed very well and weak on the extra topping. I had a sunday from this place earlier this month and it was ice cream with a few drops of topping on top and not down the the bottom like anyone who makes a good sunday would make it.All around very poor experiences with this restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants good quality food, service, and a well made dessert at a decent price.

This place is awesome. They have a awesome pork tenderloin sandwich. But just get one n ask for 2 buns it is huge. I got that 3 yrs ago. Stopped again this summer n got fish sandwich. Got tenderloins as usual because they are the best use! But I'm unsure if someone new has purchased this restaurant or what, the 2 women at the window were very unprofessional and acting silly. The very worst thing was the food did NOT TASTE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO WHAT I WAS ACCUSTOMED TO😔😥😢☹I WILL TRY ONE MORE TIME AND ASK IF OWNERS CHANGED. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO ADD I DRIVE 26 MINS ONE WAY FOR THE OLD FOOD GLADLY.

The ice cream cones here are worth every penny. You probably will only need a small because the larges are bigger than your face! I give it four stars because service is a little slow, but the food is tasty and like I said, that ice cream, wow.

Friendly staff and as always great ice cream! My cheeseburger was just as it should be, plenty of juicy flavor on a crisped bun. Plenty of good food options and large selection of ice cream treats!
