Our Hadley just turned 7 years old from this breeder and we could not be happier with her. She is the sweetest dog; was easy to train and is oh so lovable. She loves toys and people more than anything. She is also such a pretty girl - we’ve gotten compliments on her over the years! She’s never had any health problems. I’m not sure what the business is like now or who runs it, but I do remember when we were picking Hadley out we were SO impressed how much the owner loved the dogs. She was clearly so invested in the adult dogs and puppies. We occasionally inquire about getting another dog and just can’t decide but communication has always been quick! Maybe sometime soon!

We bought our Sweet Girl Golden Retriever from Natalie and her husband Doug about 3 1/2 Years ago and she is Absolutely the Sweetest, Most Lovable, Dog And Loves to give you Kisses. She is so Smart and self taught on a lot of things. She is shorter than most Golden Retrievers but we LOVE Her size. She is Soo Fluffy as she has a lot of English Cream in her. She came from the litter of Dash and Winston and just as Sweet as her Mom Dash. We would definitely purchased another Golden Retriever from them in the future. Thanks for everything Guys. 😁🐾

We bought our puppy from this breeder in Kansas over 7 months ago and they have been unresponsive and still not provided our registration paperwork. Although we love our golden I would not recommend buying a puppy from this breeder. I will be reporting to AKC next. We were told we would receive registration paperwork and every time we are able to get ahold of Natalie which is rare she gives us an excuse like they had to send in the dna. WHERE IS OUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.April 1st 2023 - I still have not received anything as far as registration paperwork for our Maverick (will be 1 years old on April 8th.) Just saw a response to our review from Quivera Golden Retrievers stating they have finally provided all necessary information, documentation, and a healthy puppy. The only thing they have provided is a healthy puppy. No paperwork. They took our cash and then never sent the paperwork. Good luck if anyone buys from them but I’m not the only one that says they won’t get back to you or that has stated that they never received the paperwork. Don’t believe a work they say.UPDATE May 23, 2023. Still no paperwork. We received a private message on the last review saying the same thing about getting dna back and the lay they were going to pay for our registration paperwork for the hastle but still haven’t received anything or follow up. OUR DOG DESERVES TO BE REGISTERED.

UPDATE: Natalie never responded to me with a puppy or a refund. Do not trust this "breeder." She will lie to you. take your money, and never respond again.Quivira Golden Retrievers came very highly recommended by family friends and I have been thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I reached out to Natalie in November of 2022 requesting a spring liter puppy. I paid my deposit and waited until after the holidays to reach out and see if any of the females had become pregnant. I reached out via email at the end of January and received a response that there were three current liters that would be available within 3-4 weeks. After this the next earliest available would be likely June as they had a hard time breeding in the winter. I responded immediately and wished to choose a pup out of one of those three liters and asked for next steps for selection/pick up. A week went by with no response, so I followed up again via email. Another two weeks went by. I decided to try texting as email was getting me nowhere mid-February (when the pups should have been close to coming home), and again - no response. The first week of March I sent another text, this time expressing my frustration, and immediately received a response saying pups would be ready in 2-3 weeks (mind you I was told 3-4 weeks in January and I am now being told the same again in March.) I responded and asked again for next steps regarding selection/pick up and never received a response. It is now mid-April and have yet to hear from Natalie. At this point, I have requested a refund of my original deposit andam once again waiting for a response.

We got our puppy in Jan of 22 and found out he had bilateral elbow dysplasia around 6 months of age. Initially Natalie was very kind and offered us a refund as his surgeries and management were incredibly expensive. It is now over 6 months since that refund was verbally offered and we never received any compensation. Communication has been cut off entirely and there has been no response to our calls, texts or emails. We understand that this is somewhat out of a breeders control, but we used a breeder in attempt to avoid major health issues. A puppy that cost $2,000 has now cost over $10,000 in medical fees and he is only a year old. We love him immensely but are frustrated with the false promise that was made for a refund, and complete lack of correspondence thereafter. If your puppy was of the stone litter we recommend you see your vet and screen for elbow dysplasia as many times symptoms can be delayed compared to the disease process.

I got my beautiful Islay just over two years ago and she is incredible. Every vet I’ve ever been to says how healthy she is, I’m constantly approached about her “perfect show dog size” and how it’s “clear she came from amazing genes/they love her coat.” Her temperament is the seller though! She is unbelievably calm. No hyperactivity, no barking, no chewing. I know that’s half genes and half how they’re raised, but still! She isn’t spooked by sounds, people, etc so she was clearly socialized well in puppyhood. Smooth process to purchase as well.

We purchased a beautiful golden retriever 4 yrs ago and love her so much we decided to get another. We had problems this time around with communications and the litter was ill and we had several delays in getting our new puppy. Pick up kept getting delayed and we had to be the one reaching out to find out anything. We finally received our puppy and she too is lovely however, it has been months and after many times of contacting Nancy we still have no registration papers. Again, no correspondence unless we instigate it and even then it often goes unanswered. To say we are terribly disappointed is putting it mildly. I fear there will never be papers.UPDATE: After almost a year we have received our papers. We love Willa and can finally make her legal! Nancy has beautiful dogs just may have to prepare to wait a bit. The dogs are worth the wait though, beautiful and social.

UPDATE: I just want to amend this review to say that Natalie did end up sending our refund which was very kind of her considering she did not have to do it. We were and are upset and frustrated that things worked out the way they did, and we likely won’t work with another breeder again, but we appreciate what Natalie was willing to do for us.Again, however, make sure you do your due diligence and research when looking for a good breeder.I found Quivira Goldens in may of 2021, hoping to get a puppy with my husband once we were married. I talked with Natalie via email a few times before sending a deposit. Flash forward to December of same year, I spoke with Natalie on the phone and via text regarding picking up a puppy at the end of February. Shortly after, at the beginning of January, she let me know that they had puppies available, she told me she would have photos soon. I asked four times about photos, and she told me the first two times that she would send photos, but then stopped returning my texts, and we have seen no photos online of any of her recent litters. After three weeks of following up and hearing nothing back, my husband and I decided we would look elsewhere, for someone more dependable, that would value our desire to expand our family. I texted Natalie to ask if she could send some, if not all, of our money back from our deposit seeing as she did not hold her end of the agreement. She texted back almost immediately to tell me that she would send it back, but she was travelling for work and did not have service to send our money back, and asked that I remind her the following week, in case she forgot. She did say that she was under the impression that we wanted puppies from a later litter, although after my questions and requests for photos I’m not sure how that miscommunication happened.I have now texted her twice to remind her to send our money back and have heard nothing. It is just very disappointing to get excited about a new pet, one you have wanted for years, and begin to prepare for it only to have your hopes let down. I found Natalie to be unprofessional as a business owner and I have quickly become frustrated. Regardless of whether or not we get our money back, I wanted to take the chance to warn others of our experience in hopes that the same thing does not happen to someone else. Make sure to do your research and then some before agreeing to work with a breeder.

Natalie takes raising healthy happy puppies seriously, and it is worth the drive and the time to get one from her. She cares about the kind of home her puppies will go to, and makes sure to speak to prospective owners before accepting any deposit.We brought our golden girl home at 8 weeks and she was basically housebroken from day 1, and was already accustomed to going into her crate at bedtime! She is a beautiful, sweet, healthy happy puppy who has been set up for success. My only criticism is that it can be hard to get in touch, but in the end it’s really all about the dogs!

Great family owned business to work with! When I got my puppy, the process was super smooth. You have to put down a deposit to secure you get a puppy. My little girl was clearly very well taken care of and loved - even my vet made a comment how healthy she was!I wish we could get 10 more just like our Molly girl!We will be using this breeder again and recommend Quivira Goldens to all our friends and family!

Buyer beware: I was trying to purchase a specific puppy from the recent litter. I even had flights on hold for as soon as I could confirm I was getting the dog. I always ask thorough questions to ensure the health of the puppies and proper breeding. I just needed to confirm no incidence of hip dysplasia or eye problems in the lineage. When I pressed for this information I was told the puppy had sold in the subsequent 7 minutes while I was waiting for a reply....Key takeaways:1. Either this breeder is not doing thorough enough genetic testing on their parents to ensure good genes. There is possible health concerns in the lineage. She did not want to disclose this to me so said the dog was already sold.OR (and i really hope this is the case)2. They are incompetent with general social protocol. Why sell the puppy out from under me when you have others available in the litter? Why not at least give me the chance to fill or kill the order since you could tell how interested I am.For what it's worth I still did not see any concrete information about the hips and eyes of these dogs. We have a 1 year old golden already and this was definitely disclosed by our breeder of her.

We had a terrific all-around experience with Quivira Golden Retrievers, and got an absolutely perfect dog! She has the ideal temperament for our family (4 kids ranging in ages from 4-14), and we all adore her. After only 6 months with our family I can already say that she’s the best dog we’ve ever owned, and I can’t imagine getting any other breed of dog going forward. Out neighbors adopted one of her sisters as well, and they absolutely love her. We’re still working through a few minor things (e.g., chewing), but she’s the perfect combination of smart, sweet and obedient (but not timid), and I would highly recommend a golden from her lineage to anyone looking for an outstanding dog!

Please note: I was asked by the Owner to remove this review under threat of legal action as they claim it was defamatory. So I am editing this review to include their 'side' of the story for full transparency.Buyer BEWARE - I believe, as mentioned in a number of reviews below, Natalie and Quivira Goldens are unreliable breeders with unprofessional and inefficient business practices. I purchased a golden retriever puppy in December of 2021 and had to sign a contract with various breeding and care stipulations. One of those stipulations included receiving my limited AKC registration after I completed payment. I finally received this information (to be reviewed for accuracy and completion) this morning (12.30.22) over a year later, most likely because of this review.Trying to work through this issue was frustrating and unprofessional. From the Breeder, " I understand your frustration but ask that you understand ours. Rowdy is and has always been a registered dog with AKC. Because he was tagged by AKC as a frequently used sire and we were asked (by AKC) to send in a DNA sample which I did. I was not able to register the litter your male was from until the DNA sample came back. The DNA certificate was dated 12/12/2022".It is important to note that the DNA certification date is nearly 14 months after the litter was born (10/17/21 vs. 12/12/22). While I cannot validate any of this statement from Natalie, having worked with Breeders for English Bulldogs for several years and litters, I've never encountered this additional 'request' to re-certify a sire, or otherwise registered AKC animals DNA and my understanding of DNA is that..well, it doesn't change once an animal has been born (let alone registered with the AKC). Regardless of the extra request for DNA, it is strange that it took over 14 months and similar complaints regarding timeliness on receiving contracted paperwork is echoed in other reviews below.Perhaps it is bad luck, perhaps it is just poor business operations. It is my opinion that there are more responsible breeders with better pricing and contracts out there that will respond quicker and have their contractually required documents ready on a more reasonable and efficient time table.

Natalie was absolutely excellent to work with! Our golden pup is absolute perfection! His disposition could not be better and he is so loving and adorable! Natalie was so great throughout the whole process and continues to answer our questions and offer advice even after we had received our pup. I could not be happier!

I am forever indebted to Quivira Goldens. They gave me my bestfriend! When searching for a Golden Retriever puppy, I found nothing but shady breeders that left me with a sour taste in my mouth. When I got a call back from Natalie, I immediately knew she was trustworthy and genuine. My little puppy from her DodgerxChevy litter is 4 months now and the best dog I’ve ever had. So healthy, a calm demeanor and the sweetest personality. I get nothing but praise whenever people meet her and I always recommend Quivira when people ask.Personally for me, she was sometimes hard to get ahold of in the weeks leading up to getting my pup. So don’t worry if you don’t get a reply right away, they’re just taking extra care of the pups! BUT that does not take away from the experience I had adopting my puppy Andie and I will definitely be contacting them again when I’m ready for another golden!
