This store was suggested to me by a coworker, so I visited this store to purchase my very first pair of boots, and I must say that I had a good experience. In fact, I was so pleased that I ended up going back and buying another pair. While some of the staff members seemed a bit distant, I couldn't tell if it was their usual demeanor or if they were surprised to see a city dweller like myself in their store. However, there was a tall, slender gentleman who I believe is either the owner or the store manager, and he went out of his way to make me feel welcome and comfortable and even went as fait to school me on the boot culture. As long as I continue to receive such positive treatment, I intend to remain a loyal customer of Vanderbilt.

I work at MSBiotec and picked up my work boots from here. The staff are very friendly and outgoing and always ready to help. Lots of work clothing and personal protective equipment are available. There's also a lot of Western and "cowboy" stuff if that's your fashion. They often seem to have an outdoor clearence section also.

We came here from Topeka and were extremely excited to see this store had so much more for women than the Topeka store. Every single employee we saw asked if we needed help finding things and were so genuinely sweet. I’ll definitely be making the drive to shop at this store going forward!

They have a great selection but I couldn't get the boots I wanted in my size. There were none on the floor and nobody seemed willing to look elsewhere. I did get what I needed though for a very good price. I'd still go back if I need boots or work gloves again.

We were just passing through the area and walked into this store. There was a great selection and beautifully displayed. We bought some leather work gloves that were wonderful and the price was amazing. VERY affordable! Week stop again on our way to Denver next time.

Nice, organized, clean store with great staff. All staff very helpful and knowledgeable about items offered in the store.We were checked out by a new hire, and the employee that was training her seemed to be doing a great job helping a long with the processes. Will definitely be come back time and time again.

Tried on their Ariat boots in 9.5 regular width but needed a wide. The young man was very helpful and ordered wides for me and I bought them when they came in the next week. Then they called a week later and said they also ordered a 9.5 regular width and expected me to come buy them too! I tried to explain that I had ordered 9.5 wide and had indeed bought and picked them up already. They sure wanted to argue that I needed to buy the 9.5 regulars too. Kind of a silly argument that left me feeling like they think I took advantage of them somehow.

I like the idea of shopping at a local store, not a chain. They have so many boots it's amazing. Lots of jewelry items and clothing for guys not quite as much clothes for girls but still a good selection. The staff are always helpful but not pushy and have a very positive vibe.

I'm not sure if your store is not used to seeing minorities in your store. But our dollars spend like everyone else's. Any kind of greeting would have been pleasant. I used to go into Vanderbilts at winters end. Now I remember why

Great store, not the best selection for women's work boots... but with demand, I understand. I am still happy with the pair I got but it was one of a few choices of composite toes for ladies. They were helpful and checked the back a few times for me for my size.

Best Western wear store in the area. Awesome customer service. Ethan is always so knowledge able and friendly. He will go far in his career where ever he goes. Great prices too. Amazing selection for a small community. Will definitely shop here again.

He refuses to wear any other foot wear now.I got my first pair of boots several years back and are in love with them to this day. They have held up to many adventures and still show no signs of wear!Great selection and great service!

I didn't realize they type of clothes and the decent prices they have. I'm going to start buying all of my work jeans from there. The prices start at 9.99 and go up from there to 40.00. The almost always have some type of boot sale going on. I would encourage anybody looking for boots to try Vanderbilts too,it will surprise you. The wamego store does an excellent PR job.

My first visit here. Selection seemed to be good. After sometime in the construction industry I decided to buy more expensive boots instead of trashing them every 6 to 12 months. Time will tell. Employees were great help when needed and kept their distance when not.

Worst customer service experience we've ever had. The employee treated us like thieves when we went to the store trying to exchange a hoodie for a different size, despite the fact that we had the original receipt from the purchase (purchase was made within 60 days). DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES.

Mostly Men's western clothes, work and sport. Boots for everyone. Buckles, belts, cowboy hats and more. Accessories such as wallets and earrings. Largest sizes are the stars be it Carhartt or Wrangler, up to 8X in some styles. Reasonable prices. Sharp staff.

Spent an afternoon running around Manhattan looking for boots. Should've just gone here first. They had the boots I was looking for, in my size. We walked in at 730, they close at 8. We were out the door in fifteen minutes. Couldn't ask for more. I'll go there first next time!

The young man that was helping me look at boots kept trying to get me to buy a type of boot even though I had let him know I didn't want that kind. I ended up leaving without any boots at all.What ever happened to the customer getting what they want instead of someone forcing a product on them?

Things I love: the prices on boots aka the Giant Clearance Wall. I usually buy a pair a year and this is my go to place!Things I don't love: the associates that ask you if you need help and when you say yes, they don't really help. Like when you're looking for a specific boot with a spur ledge. And the associate looks at you like you have a third eyeball.

Third trip to this place and for some reason they don't carry my size. Like the girl that works there straight up told me that. If you are mid range average then come here if not don't waist you gas.

Store is nice.people were helpful. Not happy with results to how long to get a pair of boots. Then I find out it take 2 weeks. I could have gone to orschjens or the internet and had them in 5 days

Let me start by saying this is hands down the worst retail experience that i have ever had. I am in the retail business and would not dream of giving my customers this type of treatment. I ordered a pair of Justin boots from this store because they beat an online price i had of 271.00 from a different retailer for 255.00 plus tax. I wanted to support my local retailer. I also purchased 4 pairs of boots that night for my children and spent almost 200.00 on them. After 2 weeks I was called last night to come and pick them up and pay for them. I whent over there last night and the clerk brought them out and said they were 449.95! I said there must be a mistake. I ordered a oair of boots for 255.00 not 449.95. she said she would call the owner. I was standing right next to her and she repeated back what he told her on the phoe which was " so try and get 320 but the lowest we can go is 300? ok ill tell him" . She hangs up the phone and says exactly that. I was blown away. I almost thought she forgot i was standing right next to her the whole time. I politely told her I thought they should honor the price I was quoted when i ordered them. She said no so i asked her to call the owner and let them have one more shot at retaining the customer. she said that 255.00 was what cost was on it but they wouldnt go any lower no matter what. I point blank asked her if her boss was willing to lose a good local customer over $20.00 and he saidd yes. I promptly left the store to the amazement of several guests that were waiting on the clerk shocked that they wouldnt honor the price that was written on the order note. I will never do business here again and buyers beware of these shrewd tactics and let downs in the buying process. i will also write a letter to the editor with the smoke signal.
