Order the Mountain Oysters-tastes like chicken fried steak! On our roadtrip to Colorado we chose to eat lunch here specifically because mountain oysters were on the menu. No one in our group of 10 had ever tried them and we decided today is the day! Even if you don’t, the burgers were fantastic! Stopped in on a Thursday at 1215p. The place is a fairly plain looking building on the outside. The inside is pretty large, with newer modern fixtures.There was a table of approx 20 that had already ordered and was waiting for food. No clue how many staff were in the kitchen but there was only a single server in the dining room and he was obviously pretty busy. Every drink/food he delivered and every order he took he apologized to everyone for the wait...Eventually he brought me a water and I inquired about a special, which there were none but he had another apology. I ordered a southwest chicken salad. It took approx 20 minutes after I ordered for the food to arrive.It looked visually appealing. It tasted ok... just ok. Not bad but not great. When I was done eating, the plate it came on had lots of liquid on it. I probably could have filled 2 shot glasses. Who serves wet salad?The facility was clean and comfortable. The food was average at best. The speed of service was slow. The 1 employee I dealt with was polite and professional, however the dining room seemed grossly understaffed and over apologized. The price was fair.I assume this place would do a much better job overall and have been a better experience if they didn't have a table of 20 with no additional staff scheduled to help. For this reason I'll most likely try eating here again next time I'm in town for business...

Simply amazing! We each got the $23 ribeye. The potato chip with buffalo seasoning in original and super good! No spice.You can tell this is a local hang out for the older generation. 😆 That says this restaurant is good quality and consistent.We tried bull balls for the first time. 😂 My husband had difficulty getting round what they are. I like them. I can't think of what they remind me of...

Delicious and fresh!! They made us feel so welcomed and took the time to say hello and smile. Unfortunate vehicle circumstance brought us in for lunch and it was sooooo nice! The food is really good and hearty! The staff is even better, with warm welcomes, service like they really care, and a nice genuine conversation (if they have time as it's very popular with the locals) On our next travel trip through Kansas, we'll make this our destination stop for food and fuel instead of the Oasis in Colby. Just a better stop and likely the same or less costly!!

A wonderful surprise while traveling, they had all my favorite Country Fried Steak, sweet potatoes fries, onion rings, gizzard and waffle fries. Had all of them good price great food and good service.

Great place to eat while staying at KOA RV park near by. Potatoes with peppers, onions and cheese were amazing. We’re there for taco Tuesday also very good.

The flat iron steak alone is worth a trip to Kansas. The salad was middling, the sides a bit generic, but the steak was a wonder to behold. One of the best I've ever had, and absolutely the best at the price point. Stop here. You won't be disappointed.

I was traveling from Colorado to Texas and found this restaurant in middle of nowhere. Walked in and ordered food. Food was made fresh and was good food. The lady introduced me to a map they have in the restaurant, each visitor pins the part of the world they were from and I really liked the idea. I was surprised how many people from different parts of the world visited that small restaurant in middle of nowhere.

I had only heard advertising for this restaurant until tonight. I won a meal for two for Valentine's day from our local radio station Y102 the county bull. We arrived on time for our reservation but had a short wait, good sign in my opinion, means people are enjoying their meal. We were also surprised with live music which was local and entertaining. We had an appetizer of fried cheese tortellini on a bed of marinara sauce which was crispy and a very nice start, followed by a nice size salad with plenty of dressing to go with it. Main course for me was fettuccini alfredo with a nice steak to go with it. The fettuccini was a little dry but the steak more then made up for it, wonderful flavor and fork tender. Finished up with cheesecake and a chocolate covered strawberry decorated as a little tuxedo. Although the main course could have used a piece of bread to finish it off I was very happy to be enjoying it. The staff was very friendly and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I will be back to try their regular menu items.

Just two upstate NY girls traveling across country, planning as we go!!!! Picked the KOA camp site literally .1 miles from this little gem of a restaurant:):) Due to covid this was the first sit down restaurant meal for the two of us and it blew us away. Everything from the atmosphere to the walls in the bathroom!!!! Not only was the staff hustling but the local customers were very pleasant and visited with us for hours. I can’t even put into words how amazing the food was. The jalapeño appetizer was to die for, homemade to perfection!!!!! I’m keto and got a burger with no bun and it was the first burger I have ever had that not once did I miss the bun. We have done some pretty awesome stuff on this trip so far but stopping here will easily make our top 5!!!! It’s a family owned business that you can tell pours their heart and soul into their establishment. They were so slammed and backed up but watching the work ethic and the locals help out was something I’ve never seen before even with my own 10 years of running a restaurant. If I ever travel like this again, the blazen bull will 100% make the list of must stop places!!!!!! Thank you again for having us:):)

Don’t let the outside appearance sway you, this is a clean, neat little place with tasty, reasonably priced food options. I splurged on the bacon wrapped jalapeños, which was a great decision. The A-1 cooked burger was excellent and the sliced German potatoes a perfect side choice. I like great bourbon and spotted a bottle of Weller behind the bar. A drink of that back home would be $15, but only $4.50. We were staying at the KOA behind it, so an easy walk over without unhooking our tow vehicle.
