BIG thank you to Dr Roy and her staff for allowing me to drop off my dachshund on a Saturday then working her in. We were camping at the lake when she injured herself and was literally shivering with pain. In addition to our primary concern, Dr Roy communicated with our vet back home, took care of suture thread that never dissolved from a previous surgery as well as discovered tumor regrowth which we can get taken care of while small. Knowing I was at the lake with poor signal I was given the wifi password in case I needed it. These folks really went above and beyond. All of this care for a non-established patient, on a Saturday with 3 meds was barely over $100. Very very impressed!!

We loved the vet and staff! Truly appreciate the terrific care and the time they take to listen to our concerns. The vet takes time every visit to educate me on what's going on with my dog, gives me options for treatments/tests/medications and is extremely easy to work with. I feel like my dog is treated like a family member. Highly recommend this place for your fur family!

I just wanted to let everyone at South Shore know how much I appreciated everything they did for me and my cat last week . My cat is usually not accepted at my last vet office … she is spicy they say . So we had not gone recently due to our really bad experience at our previous vet. My cat was 17 years old and woke up early morning in a bad way . They worked me in as a new patient to help put her down. I don’t think they could have been any better or nicer!!! It made a really hard day a lot better . Today I came home and received a sympathy card and it was super sweet!♥️ I work in the dental field and I understand how important customer service and genuinely caring is and they were top notch . Thank you again South Shore for being there for my family .

We are so thankful for the staff here! We had a dog get attacked by our other dog and our normal vet wouldn't see her as it was late on Friday. South shore took one look at her and new she wouldn't make it back to the emergency clinic in Topeka. That stayed until 9:30 to do an emergency surgery. They took absolutely amazing care of her, and we could not be happier. Will definitely be coming back to here with our animals. The staff is so caring and knowledgeable. Our Annie says thank you!

Sat. Aug 20th, I woke to see my senior dog down. The signs were there. He was suffering. Vets offices were open til noon and closed on Sundays. I am new to the area so as soon as 8 am hit, I started making the necessary phone call(s). South Shore was the first place I called as they are located closest. I questioned my ability to get him in my car and they were able to give me contact info for a farm vet. I called, he said he wouldn't be able to get toy house until the following Wednesday. I called South Shore back to see if they could simply put my dog down and I would bring him back home. She was rude and very short. She said "We are full today with two other euthanasia's". I get having a booked schedule. It was 9:30am. They close at Noon. I needed nothing from them other than to help me do the humane thing. 10-15 minutes of time. Instead, I was left with the feeling that I was going to have to dig the hole, put my beloved dog in it and the last thing he was going to see was the one person he trusted aiming a gun at him. I will never call this place again! Completely experienced the opposite to what their "end of life" page says on their website. I called Lyndon and even with a booked schedule and a waiting room with waiting customers, they helped me. All it took was 10 minutes. Sometimes, life and death doesn't give you notice so that you can set up an appointment!

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. They have pulled two of my beloved pets through very risky emergency surgeries. They are so accommodating and really go the extra mile. I haven’t spent much time around Dr. Hall, but she is obviously an extremely talented surgeon. Dr. Roy has great “bedside manner” with every animal I have ever taken in and that extraordinary caring extends to me as well, when situations have been extremely stressful. She takes as much time is needed to explain what’s going on and patiently answers all questions. The caring is so genuine. The entire staff is devoted to reaching the very best outcome for your pet. I have complete faith and trust in them and I love the personal small town atmosphere. They carry a huge supply of dog and cat foods, as well as other pet supplies. And to top it off, their goods and services are competitively priced. Great little clinic with a huge heart!
