Lilly loves going here and it was very important to me to find a place I trusted with her after seeing and hearing horror stories from other dog grooming places. My Mini Aussie went in today for his first grooming ever! No complaints! Very professional, Personal, they double check with the client about exactly what you’re wanting and really get to know the dog! Very pleased with them! We love Backroads Grooming! We have a Great Pyrenees and a Golden Retriever—both farm dogs who get REALLY farm-y. When I start to apologize, Dustin cuts in every time to remind me that my dogs are living their best life and that he will take care of it. He also helps identify any potential issues with our dogs that we may need to talk to our vet about. Just the best in all regards.

Dustin has always done a great job on my 2 boys, no complaint there at all. I just wish he heard his clients better. I have had a preset appointment every 6 week on a Thursday for close to 3 years. Dustin showed me himself that he populated his schedule and suggested that I do the same to my phone calendar,, which I did. This week I received my normal reminder via text. I confirmed. The reminders state the date and the time, not the day. I missed that they had changed the appointment to Wednesday as I did not have dates/days memorized. I had not previously been notified of the change. It is, however, my fault as he feels the reminder text is notification enough of the change. I personally take exception to this. To not allow the client to have a say as to what works for them is inexcusable. To be deaf to the clients words with regard to the matter is inexcusable. To interrupt when the client is trying to respond is inexcusable. I am a retired dental hygienist who worked with scheduling for 30 years, what has occurred here is not the norm. He may be a great groomer but it's the owners that have to get the dogs to you. You need to loop them into any change of schedule; a unilateral change is not a meeting of the minds. I am sad to move on but this does not work for me.

We took our furbabies to get groomed today and Backroads had them looking beautiful. They do an awesome job with their anxiety. We moved to VC a year ago and thankfully they were taking new clients! Keep up the good work and awesome customer service!

This place is the best! Have been sending my elderly golden retriever to them for the past few years and they always do an amazing job with him. He comes home looking and smelling great! What I love the most is that his coat is so soft and I’m just surprised by it every time when giving him loves!

They cut my dogs paw! Automatically never coming back. They also don't call you when your dog is ready to be picked up. Inconvenient. The haircut they did was uneven throughout,now my dog is so scared and staff looks like they’re under the influence,I do not recommend you take your loved pet here,all these last reviews of his are all his friends trying to cover up the bad reviews but this guy is not a nice person at all,think twice before taking your beloved fur baby there,

We have a Corgi who is the sweetest boy, but for some reason when he goes to the groomer it's a bit of a mess that has left us confused for years. This is our 4th groomer and before Backroads it's been rare he gets a full groom. There is always a reason something didn't get done. We even started medicating him with two meds to get through grooming. We have NEVER had that issue here and have even backed off the anxiety medicine. They truly understand dog breeds and tell us what a sweet boy he is and he may fight a little, but once they correct him he knows and is sorry (this is the dog WE know). I truly believe it's because they know what they are doing in a way others didn't. We get the best FULL groom, the haircut and Corgi butt is perfect, brushed so well he barely sheds (for a few days anyway! - it is a Corg), smells wonderful, is done in record time, and fairly priced. The people working are always helpful and kind and while we live in Goddard we will always make the drive here. We have for sure found our place. Thank you Backroads!!

We are so happy to have found backroads grooming we have 2 cocker spaniels that can be a pain they hate their nails trimmed but they are so patient and get the job done every time! I see why they stay so busy they do great work!!! See you soon!!

Dustin groomed my dog while she was at the kennel. He found out that she had an ear infection in both ears. I took her to my vet and she asked me who my groomer was, and that he caught the infection early before it caused my dog more problems. Dustin and his staff have always taken great care of our dogs, he is professional, very knowledgeable about all breeds of dogs, and grooming is affordable. My long hair dog comes home feeling, looking and smelling wonderful. I highly recommend Backroads grooming!

Our two cocker spaniels have been going to Dustin’s for several years already. They love to go there and Dustin is the first groomer in 13 years that does a 100% perfect groom on both dogs. He’s always on time, very professional, and he cares a great deal about the pets. This is also the first place we’ve gone to that doesn’t smell horrible. We are moving out of the area soon and we’re sad to leave Dustin. It won’t be easy to find a new groomer once we’ve had him.

Our Old English Sheepdog has been going to Dustin since she was a puppy and she just turned two. She had some severe anxiety issues when she first started and Dustin bent over backwards helping her to work through them. She is doing so much better. He does a fantastic job clipping her, really cares about her and wants her to have the best experience possible.

We were so happy to finally find a groomer who has kind employees, convenient hours, and affordable pricing. We also like to take advantage of the walk-in nail trims between grooming appointments- it’s so easy! Our 2 corgis are massive shedders and after a bath and brush out here they look & smell fabulous and no shedding for weeks!! It’s amazing. We love Dustin & his team and won’t be taking our furbabies anywhere else.
