This is one of the best and actual hardware stores in Topeka. Forget the big box this place is old fashioned old school and has everything you need from paint to keys to hardware to nuts and bolts and all the stuff in between. I've gone there to get knives sharpened keys made and screen cut. The staff is always friendly and their prices are okay

Wide selection of items. The people were helpful. I found what I was looking for quickly. The prices on most items are reasonable. It's not a big box store so it's a little more expensive than those places but you can get in and out quickly.

The closest you can get to the ole mom and pop neighborhood hardware store. You don't have to drive so far to find what you need she you go to Ace. I love coming to this place. The staff is ALWAYS super attentive and helpful. The store is neat and dare I say FUN, I don't ever want to leave. I definitely leave with more that I need, so kudos to marketing.

I went in there for an assortment of items. O rings, fittings, screws and more. Took me forever to find certain items. The shelves were stocked with the wrong items and I couldn't find anybody to help me. After an hour of hunting and pecking to try to find what I needed then the helpful Ace man came. After a few seconds I realized he wasn't there to help me he was just trying to get me to the door because it was closing time. Then what look like every employee in the store was waiting at the front door. So I had to go through a procession line of employees wanting me to leave. For a store that charges two to three times what some other stores charge you think you can get some better service. Couldn't find the helpful hardware man.

I was most disappointed. My transaction went fine. I didn't think about the transaction before me. Shame on Westlake for ringing up 2 bags of soil for an elderly woman and giving her the instruction to just go pick it up. No offer to send someone to help. So by the time I got out to my car, she was, of course, struggling to handle the bags. Even if she was capable, someone should have offered. I helped her with both bags. Made me sad.

AMAZING customer service. I needed a piece of glass and the gentleman made sure he triple checked the measurements since this was my 3rd attempt at getting the right size. Another store cut the incorrect size twice

Went here to get something and went to pay it and i didn't have my Ace card so i couldn't use it to get points and went back again cause my stuff that i got wouldn't fit on my battery so i got my money back and got another and they asked for my card again and ask for my phone # and it didn't go through asked my name and it popped up but wrong # so she fixed it for me.They need to train the people in front more people skills.Thank you Miss

This is a great hardware store. the employees are always helpful. The items offered are comparable to larger hardware stores with less wait time standing in line and less crowds. They almost have what you need without having to go too far out of your way and the seasonal items (lawn and garden) are excellent quality and price.

Great service in all departments. They carry quite a variety of things. I also like their sale tables. Close parking. When spring comes, they erect a large fenced-in enclosure for flowers and other garden supplies. They also will have kids there to load your car for you.

I think this may be the last time I walk into this store. Every other time I've come here the staff has been friendly and helpful but I couldn't shake the feeling that my friend and I were being watched and followed rather than assisted. I guess it's Home Depot on the other side of town for future projects and tool purchases. I like shopping in my local community but at times it's overrated. The cashiers are still awesome, I'm not knocking them.

Never have had anyone offer to help. Was looking for some chain hardware to keep my escape artist dogs in my yard and not the neighbors. First gentleman I asked said they wouldn't have anything, second gentleman pointed in the general direction of something I knew wouldn't be useful. So my search began and I eventually found all the pieces I needed. Maybe it's because women aren't supposed to know how to "fix things", I don't know but I'm a lot smarter than the men I dealt with. I know in the future to go prepared to search for a bit. Customer service seems to have gone by the wayside there and quiet a number of places in Topeka but there's always good old Wal-Mart.
