This place was all but dead but the new owners have put new life into this place. The BBQ restaurant is pretty good and they are getting more vendors to open up shop, quite a few of the vendors in the mall have local ties abd are dealing locally sourced goods. There is a store across from the food court that has locally made crafts. It is far from being full but you have to start somewhere.

This mall is essentially empty. Unless you are coming here for something in particular that you know is still open I would pass. Particularly, if you are from out of town and don’t know, the mall is dead and there isn’t much of a reason to go at this point. There are many other malls within an hours drive such as Oak Park and Legends which I would recommend much more than this mall.

Like all shopping malls, this once grand structure is slowly and quietly fading into memory. Only a few national chains remain, as best I can tell, there's no locally owned stores left. The foodcourt is completely abandoned. The arcade is a complete joke. It's really sad to see this place that was once so full of life, now devoid of it. Hot Topic, Journeys, and Spencer's all remain, and are the only reasons I end up at the mall anymore. I'd love to see it make a comeback, but I highly doubt it will.

There's a lot of empty spaces but there's still most of the stores you see in every mall. Rarely busy so nice to walk around. It's always clean when I've gone. Several emergency storm shelter areas too.

I was a little shocked at how many stores are open and the number of people shopping. Extra disappointed that they are still doing Santa pictures. It does not appear that Santa is behind anything, but he was on break so I can't confirm that. But to each their own. Bath and Body Works was limiting the number of people allowed in their store at a time.

Pretty much a dead mall. On my visit it was just me, three security guards, and a couple of elderly people walking around. Even the better stores like Old Navy were devoid of shoppers on a Saturday.

I have a lot to say about this mall , Fiat off I was followed every around this mall EVERYWHERE even too the bathroom , I came into Dillards first and I was looking at baby clothes and polo then some white lady came up to me and my sister and said do you need help we said no thank you and walked away then stated following us around the whole Dillards , We didn’t fund anything that we wanted so I had to go to the bathroom I turn too look behind me and it’s the same white last from Dillards followed me into the bathroom then came into the stall next too me shoes pointed towards me and everything and was I think listening in too the stall and then I left and wanted to go to pet land to see the dogs but guess what happened you’ll never guess SHE FOLLOWED ME AGAIN and so on she followed me to so many stores after that until I finally had enough and left , I wish I would went too the manager about this , But guess what I’m black I was racially profiled and followed around the store because if the color of my skin there was no other reason of why I was being followed i being followed . It makes me so sick . They definitely lost a costumer, I would not recommend coming to this mall worst experience of my life .

West Ridge is under new ownership, and they've been busy bringing in new business. They are bringing life back into the mall.

My daughter, my grandson & I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the WR Mall. Even though it had been awhile since we were there, it was nice we could eat there (2 choices only), shop some, do some things for fun with an active toddler & talk a little in between chasing him! My daughter accidentally left his diaper bag on a bench when chasing him & it was gone when she returned. It was such blessing to realize some nice person turned it into the Mall office & left her wallet intact! THANKS ANON NICE PERSON! 😃

Sad sad sad place. It is as mediocre as the entirety of Topeka. Problem is, Topeka will forever be stuck in mediocrity. There is no draw to bring businesses to this sad mall in a sad town

Dying and/or dead. Most stores are empty. You must walk half the mall to go up or down a floor. Good exercise.

With the new owners, it seems as if someone is finally caring for the building and making it a "must go to" place in Topeka. I'm excited to see their long-term plan!

A mall, yet still awesome to see! With the recent investment of the local company, Advisors Excel, there should be a bright future ahead for this location. There are also some after-school programs worth looking at that are hosted by Barnabas Ministries. You can stop in for a bubble tea, or any number of other world renown teas that Kevin has to offer over at the Barnabas Cafe in the food court. Yes the mall has seen better days, but it is still a great place to take a stroll, get some Topsys popcorn, grab a Boba tea, and see the pets at Petland. There are also multiple department stores still open and the awesome Furniture Mall of Kansas is still providing Topeka and the surrounding area with a great variety of furniture and home goods. Bring the family, come see what's happening at our local mall.

I thought the day after Christmas was supposed to be one of the busiest days of returning/exchanging gifts. Not in this place. Still dead as ever.

They need to turn this place into something other than shopping. It's just like most the other malls in the United States. Dead or dying

We decided to walk the Mall, and do a little shopping. We enjoyed tourin Dillards, Penneys and Kirklands. I was extactic to find some new clothes that I sorely needed. We were impressed with all three of the stores, the merchandise, the people and the condition of the stores. The entire walk was a pleasant experience.

Still a lot of things in this mall despite many of the stores closing. Petland was nice to visit and see all the animals. Has many more stores than the mall in Salina.

From out of town and came to check this mall out. It's super creepy walking around. Seems like for every one store there are about 5 empty stores. There was no food court anymore. (One possible establishment and possibly closed mondays.) The crazy part is the facility is actually nice! This could be a fantastic mall if they ever draw stores back in.

I remember when the mall to go to was White Lakes mall. White Lakes has been like a "ghost mall" for decades. Now, West Ridge has succumbed to the same fate. I truly hope the new owners are able to revitalize it to something great again. Only time will tell.

It may be the biggest mall in Kansas space wise but definitely not store wise. Most of the shops had been shut down, several were closed (we came in at 2pm), and the most hysterical part of the whole trip was that their merry-go-round had been repossessed because they didn't pay the taxes for it 😂 there are caution tape lines around it, signs saying it was repossessed, not to need with it or you'd be fined by the government. The place was a joke. The best store in there was the one pictured and it doesn't even have a name 🙃😂😂

Super huge mall with a handful of open bays. Surprisingly the stores that are open are the top name brands, which makes it enjoyable.

Hot! Not cool enough. Only one set of elevators working over by furniture mall ,music terrible. I suggest they make little or not so little senior housing units upstairs, coffee shops, cafes, keep Gayla's, Pretzel place, and what ever little shops would like to stay downstairs. Keep popcorn place upstairs,Dillards, Penneys, and whoever else wants to stay upstairs. This mall is still to beautiful to just let go. Think out of the box Topeka Council.

All these people leaving 1-2 star reviews obviously never visited the place for any real reason ,most likely to get attention or keep their "local guide" badge. Some of these people really can't find any reason to go the mall it seems; maybe try buying a new pair of shoes, seeming as there is 3 shops just for that, or maybe try walking around with friends and going into each shop just to see what they have. I can't find any other reason why I'd wait 2 weeks for a shirt or pair of shoes when I could find the same thing from a 10 minute drive to the mall. Ya'll can't even write what you do in your review, like, I can retrace my steps for exactly what I did when I visited last week, and the week before. You could say doing the same thing over and over again gets old but West Ridge never will. The older I get, the more I forget things when I was younger but West Ridge will be the one thing I can always talk about when out with buddies. Hope the place never closes down. Would do anything for the world to keep it going.

West Ridge Mall was a beautiful place to go shopping on a Saturday with my friends and family. Then, we ate lunch at the Food Court, which had several different eating places, it was always a fun day. I saved so much time because there were a variety of stores, all in one location. The Mall & stores were always clean, and beautiful decorations on holidays like Christmas. Now I have to drive all over the place, Target, Walmart, Kohls, Penneys, Dillards, etc., and always looking for a close parking spot at each store. Then find a fast food place for lunch that isn't really crowded. It's such a big hassel now, little fun, very time consuming, and in all kinds of weather! I don't like on-line shopping, I never get what I want. I've heard the Mall was sold and I'm really hoping stores will be coming back to the Mall.

The mall is empty & sad. for the longest time, there were only stores catering to the toothpic teenie boppers & almost NOTHING for the adults. The mall Definitely didnot have many stores that had "real" people sizes that were fashionable, stylish & trendy. The result is now an empty, run down, shell of a place with nothing to offer. I don't see how the couple stores left stay in business.

Great place to mall walk. But shopping is sparse. Hope the new owners get some good tenants in there soon.

Another of the Great Malls on the decline. There are sadly more empty shops than open ones. I suppose that it is a sign of the time, but one does miss the ability to visit multiple retail establishments in one go. Lacking some sort of mall Renaissance I wonder how long that this place will last.

Someone needs to take this sway back pony out to the back pasture and put it out of it's misery. With very little too offer in the way of retail shopping stores this broke down, falling apart property barely draws older folks in to walk around it.They celebrated the new doughboyz store but what they really should doing is figuring out how to revitalize it outside of adding a single pizza joint.Nothing to offer other than empty stores and shuttered windows with barely any place to eat makes this broke behemoth an avoid at all costs opportunity.Maybe someone will buy it and build something useful other than hoping that a dying national tradition called a shopping mall can persist.
