Walmarts here in Topeka have rudest and laziest employees. Why even have door greeters, if they are by the doors they just stand there. Never get a hello or nothing. Are they being paid to just stand there doing nothing? Pathetic the way your employees are.

It really depends on which Walmart in Topeka that I go to, I like all of them EXCEPT South Side Walmart on 37th St. I HATE this one bcuz 9 times out of 10 they have people following me around all over the store like I'm trying to steal stuff when I obviously have no purse, no baggie clothes, no where to even hide anything on me if I did want to steal, I have complained to managers at this location a few times bcuz its degrading, embarrassing, rude and annoying. It's also harassment and it gets old. I am a customer, I suggest leaving customers to shop, unless you see a customer in person or on camera shoplifting then let them be or Walmart will have a HUGE lawsuit on there hands.

Walmart has the best deals when you're feeding a family. I always joke with the workers when I shop there. I do in home care for the disabled and this is where they also love to shop GO WALMART

The cashier was very very rude. His name is "Junior". I had two different kind of lightbulb he threw them in my bag first then my milk and pudding. I told him I hope you didn't break my bulbs. He said in a flat voice. I hope I didn't either. I will be calling management on his behavior.

I don’t normally take the time to write a review but this is the cleanest most organized Walmart I’ve ever been to. All the employees working at this location should be very proud of themselves. Great selection. Great energy. Great work!

So many check out lines but only a few ever used, by some of the slowest cashiers Walmart could hire. Putting food with automotive items is a NO.! Tossing items in a bag is a NO! One item in a bag is a NO! Then the self check out always has long lines. I dont work at Walmart,I shouldn't have to check myself out underwatch of an actual employee but I also shouldnt have to help the cashier through how to do their job and bag items.. Where did customer service and pride in job go???'open more register lines when there are people waiting in line, and hire some competent workers

Wal-Wart on California in Topeka is my "go to" store for everything. If "Wally" doesn't have it, I don't need it! Most of the employees are helpful, courteous, friendly. I occasionally get a young clerk working register who needs customer service training, so I try to be extra pleasant to her while checking out. (I've worked several jobs, so know how important being the face of the store is.) Perhaps these "grumps" think they are indispensable? HA! If the job is necessary, can't get hired where really want to work, perhaps some schooling to get that dream job and some encouraging or quit before they are fired. It's no surprise to see more of us "silver haired" working the registers, even stocking the shelves.

This Walmart is incredibly slow with pickup orders every single time. So if you’re doing grocery delivery I’d avoid this store. Cost way too much money to be sitting around for 15-45 minutes

I was greeted by the dressing room attendant within seconds and had no lines to wait in at the register. The young lady showed me a trick I can do with the change when paying ... Thank you to everyone who does a great job every day on the floor and behind the scenes of Walmart...

Aside from the raising prices, this store on California St in Topeka is always understocked and a mess, what with pallets being everywhere and employees throwing boxes down the isles like there aren't people walking up and down them. The personal shoppers are rude as are most of the employees there. I don't mind the self checkout but I don't steal and I'm not showing my receipt. This Walmart has an older lady who talks in to her watch like she is the CIA and starts describing what you're wearing and even describes your children! I can honestly say that this is the worst Walmart in Topeka and if it wasn't down the street from me, I honestly would never come to this one. This store needs a major makeover. Oh and if you make a complaint about it to the store, they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it.

It was Christmas eve. They did better than the lines loomed. Several lanes open. I never made it down to self checkouts because I had a gift card and didn't want to take a chance to hold up the flow. The experience was average but handled better than non-holiday traffic.

With greeters at the door, this store offered a good shopping experience. The pharmacy area was well stocked for what I needed. An actual clerk rang my purchase up and bagged it. He then said thank you, an added bonus!

I hate how Walmart only has one maybe two registers open, and they expect you to check out yourself. Well that is if you have a debit or credit card most of the time cause self check out doesn't accept cash due to them not haven't enough call to put in them or whatever their reason is. They are trying to make a quick buck by cutting some cashier's and having the customers checking themselves out. Walmart is going downhill, in my opinion.

My main complaint at this Walmart would have to be the lack of cleanliness. I understand it's a really old building and all but, it should be comfortable for people to walk into. It smells horrible and honestly needs a complete make-over.My other complaint would be the employees that are just standing around and do not interact with customers. Most of the time you have to ask them if they can help, then they act like you just put them to work and they have better things to do.My last complaint that I want to mention is for the CEO. Please stop claiming to be a penny business, this was only true when it was owned by the individual who founded it. Penny businesses are extremely hard to find these days. Infact, todays generation is not even taught about penny businesses due to the rarity of them.
