Quality is severely sacrificed for the sake of low prices, and much of the food on offer is close to or past its expiration date. Shopping here is not recommended for those who prioritize freshness and safe food consumption.

Must check it out. Best deals in town. Can't find better. Plus the owner and his daughter are just so friendly and sweet. I go here a couple times a month. I can get a cart full and spend less than $80 bucks. They do except food stamps. Extra charge for using debit or credit card so remember cash to save yourself a few bucks.

Place is great to find “discounted” food items. Pay attention to dates on items. Even though some may be out of date they are good while others may not. Have never spent less than $50 here and take home lots of items.

Hello second Chance foods started going here about a month or two now I'm a coffee drinker and I can get a great deal on coffee they got bags and cans of coffee all kinds of other stuff excellent place to shop if you don't have a lot of money like me I highly recommend it

I love it so friendly and nice. You can even call them and ask them if they have this item and how much you know they're good when they had to open up the back room to add on they are so much cheaper

Too many good things to say in a short review; but this little grocery is delightful! Second Chance is not your typical grocery store so don’t walk in expecting to pick up some Wonder Bread and chocolate milk on your way home– ya likely ain’t gonna find it. BUT, the other unique items are a treasure trove of delight and are well worth the visit. The prices are a fraction of what you’d expect at full price. Many name brands. Many unique and specialty diet items. I have even seen caviar here. (Personally that’s a hard pass.) YES, some things are close to date, but that is definitely not everything and they mark those items WAY down. (Large bottle of Key Lime juice for 25 cents?! Yeah. That kind of markdown.) I get bags of chips, Lunchables, yogurt and tater tots for my kid’s lunches to name a few.. (I’m one of those moms that packs one for him every day and we all know how expensive pre-packaged lunch food it.) I have found Swerve, cases of sparkling water (Love!!), Braggs ACV, Lily’s Chocolate Bars, and a huge selection of my favorite brand of tea for at least half off of ticket price, if not more. My husband has scored giant bags of jerky, sports drinks and instant noodles. Do I do my main shopping here? Nope – but I visit on a regular basis and have yet to leave empty handed. And that’s just their stock. The store itself is clean and clearly organized with attention to detail and by someone who cares. They get in new stuff allll the time.The owners are wonderful people. If you go in, talk to them about why they have opened up this grocery and what they intend to do with it – how they are serving the Topeka area and what a blessing they are to have here. Readers – this is a great local shop to support. I can't recommend them enough. Go! Don’t just take my word for it, find a great deal for yourself.

Love shopping at this Discount Grocery Store! The thing about discount grocery stores is you never know what you're going to find! I always find amazing deals here and some fun things to try. The owners are sure sweet people and I love talking with them when I go in.

This is my go-to place for my snacks without breaking the bank. They have Bamboo sheets for such a great price both king and queen sets. It's definitely worth it for anyone that wants to save bucks.
