Products were very pricey, and help finding products was difficult. However the selection is good. The associates even had trouble finding products because the management rearranged the store without fully informing them of the new layout. It made my shopping experience less pleasant. The checkout experience was a good one on the other hand because they went the extra distance to save me money and it really is nice to be able to bring my buddy in to the store with me because I'm shopping for him and he likes to be with his person. The store is very clean and overall I will continue to shop there because it IS a nice place and it's easy to get to and everyone does like our non human companions.

In May of 2016 we adopted "Janice" who was of the Jefferson County's 2015 "Mean Girls" litter, she had been adopted and returned to the shelter twice before she was a year old. Her name since we brought her home has been Lily & she got along great with my Lucy after a slow intro. In March of 2022 we adopted Spooky who had been surrendered with two other cats, he had been there a month and all the staff loved this big sweet all black kitty boy who they said was 5. Our vet said Spooky seemed more like 10, but ever since we brought him home he has been family. I encourage everyone looking for a kitty to adopt the kitties here! Take them to your preferred vet ASAP because kennels unfortunately make diseases easy to pass along, but if the kitty picks you and you have the financial plus physical plus emotional space? Take the nice kitty home, treat it like your own child 💖 it's only two kitties so far but they are so well loved

The place was clean. The lady that helped us on the register was rather rude. We had just had to witness a dog get hit the evening before. Found out it passed. Went to get several things to donate to HHHS in honor of the dog. She was saying to hurry up bc she had a line growing, when we were simply asking a couple prices on toys. I told her to please stop being rude because we couldn't handle that today. She said oh I'm not I'm sorry you took it that way, in a very condescending way. My own teenager said well, that didn't sound nice even saying that.... there were other people there she could of called up to help. Because she did that minutes before...

We purchased a Hampster at PetsMart.We were told it was a MALE. 24 hours later it gave birth to 9 babies. We went back to Petsmart. The manager was beyond rude, and said that was impossible because they only sell males.When the cages say, Male on one and Female on the other. The manage said, not my problem call corporate.Very rude manager. Won't be shopping there anymore.

I don't like feeling the need to speak in a negative way of anyone working in retail as I know customers can be awful, but when it comes to the sale of live insects your employees need thorough discussions on how to properly care for them. If someone is purchasing several hundred crickets, they cannot be in one bag, much less if there is hardly anything for them to space out on (the egg carton). In my opinion as a frequent buyer (one who is embarrassed to speak up on this matter) is that no more than 150 large crickets should be allowed per bag and egg cartons need to be available to ensure live arrival to the customers home. I unfortunately sometimes must rely on your crickets to care for many animals instead of being able to bulk buy them, and when I need them I need them alive and well, I'm sorry if my flustered look in the store today appeared angry, in truth I was anxious because I am tight on funds and the training for bug care is disappointing based on my experience today and a few others before.

I had the opportunity to speak to the manager on duty and she was extremely pleasant, upbeat(despite it being closing time), and assisted in finding what I needed!They were out of a few items I was looking for, but I did get my essential product (batteries for PetSafe invisible barrier collar so my dog doesn't run half way across the country..lol.) For anyone doubting it... I've used the same one for over 10 years, and if you train appropriately according to your dog, and read the instructions, it works great! I now bring it to my parents who are on a steep incline and it even works there (just have to adjust to "high" setting on the box).I had preferred pet-co for some time since PetSmart employees customer service took a dive many years ago, but I think I'll give them another try due to the great customer service(despite the wait in line). They are open longer hours:)!Thank you!

I learned a lot about the algae eater I wanted to get I learned it would get big.and it would out grow the tiny Betta tank I have a mystery snail in.so I got a Betta for the biggest tank.and some stuff for the water that the snail is in.

Came in here all the time, but no more after today. I was looking for stuff for my pets and what do I see in the fish area, not crickets which I thought at first, but roaches. And not a small number. Will not bring anything from them into my house due to risk of exposing my home to them.

Place was clean and smelled okay for a pet store, would give it 5 out of 5 but they gave me 2 lizards and only lasted 3 weeks without warning gave it pristine living conditions and food every day, but sadly it died and I buried it even 2ith homemade cross

Great selection of products for pets, from birds, cats to bearded dragons and snakes. A bit on the expensive side but they are high quality items. Went there to buy a snake terrarium and found a great 40 gallon reptizoo terrarium. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I love this place so much!! The workers are very friendly and helpful especially when it comes to asking questions about animals, we also got my cat there in 2008!! She is still alive and very healthy!! I would definitely recommend visiting!!

I adopted my guinea pig, Diego. Every employee I spoke to was very kind and helpful. They were thorough in explaining his eye condition as well. The employees also made sure I was comfortable with giving him his medicine. Definitely a great experience!

Took off one star because of my visit tonight. I noticed that a few of the kittens for adoption were sneezing and one of the orange tabby’s couldn’t open her eyes all the way…like she must have had some sort of cold. It was sad seeing them feeling under the weather. I hope someone sees this who works there and gets those babies checked out asap. Made me super sad to see that. My go - to pet store. Always have the type of food we need for all of our dogs, excellent grooming salon & great customer service.

Came in and got just what we needed and out. We picked up 4 fish for the tank. We feel they will work great together. The overall store seemed well staffed and clean. Love the fact they work with Death Row Dogs.

It's fine. A bit disorganized and a bit of an oversized store. We sometimes can find items for smaller pets we have here or decent deals on dog chew toys. Kids enjoy looking at and trying to get us to adopt a rescue cat. Customer service is decent here. We haven't used the grooming or other services the store offers.

We get most of our pet supplies here, however, if there was another pet place that had better service we'd go there. Most of the workers we've encountered have acted annoyed at best. Still they have what we want for our pets so we go there

Great place to shop with your pet. Always carry name brands also have wide selection of accessories for your animal. Vet is also great here. They treat you like family.

I was very happy this time. Had a very helpful person, Spencer, help us out with several things. Found what we were looking for or at least were able to locate where things should have been. They were doing stocking while we were there so items missing from shelves might have been in there. We'll return as needed for our pet supplies.
