All is well that ends well. We ordered a fireplace for delivery before we knew the big storm was on the way. We thought it would arrive just in time. Our luck was not that good. Robert said the storm might delay the delivery. I didn't think it would fit in my aztek. I was willing to try and pick it up early. Robert made it happen. He got the order ready early for me to pick it up. So it fit and just in time. Unfortunately it was damaged. I called and explained it was damaged.I was told they would swap it out. So on a cold snowy day they came out and swapped me out. Well the second one was damaged too. We did however have it for the coldest night of this year. The second one was not as damaged as the first one. We asked for a discount to just keep it and save the hassle of returning it. They agreed. Thanks menards for going the extra mile.

Great store with great prices! Love their rebate program which works so well for me and my family. Also love the variety of products to choose from! They also have great customer service! Always love this place! Got kids winter gear all finished and for 1/3 the price of Target. Plus they seem to be the only place in Topeka, Kansas to find kids winter gear...especially boots! Saved a ton! Even got a 9 cube shelf for dvds for only $30! Cant wait for the next trip!

We had a $50 gift card that we got for Christmas and tried to use it twice. Both times they admitted that there was an issue with the gift cards but told us that we had to email some email address and get a confirmation from them before we could use it. So our family purchased us a gift card and paid them. They say it is a good card, but are unable to let us use the money that has already been paid to Menards! They will take your money, but are not willing to help you use a gift card they sold. Absolutely a shame, the supposed general manager said there’s just nothing he can do. We drove 30 miles to shop there two times and couldn’t use our already paid for gift card!

Delivered a load there 10/30. After getting empty I pulled along side dumpster to clean off trailer. Had a couple associates (not sure why it took 2) to come out and approach me as if I'm about to leave all the garbage they left on my trailer on the ground. I use a leaf blower, broom and a bucket to sweep it into which all was in plain sight. I'm pretty much use to cleaning off trailers after deliveries so I'm not complaining about that but maybe the stores can start cleaning up their own mess they leave instead of being rude to a driver delivering their stuffEdit- I emailed store after receiving response from the store manager. He requested my number to further discuss my complaint. Never received a call back so seems they don't care about fixing my issue

Do not shop here unless you card to file an insurance claim for vehicle damage. Brand new 2022 truck now has a dent and huge scratches all because the employees couldn’t empty a cart coral.What was a $15 30 minute trip is now going to cost me $515 because they will not cover for damages.

This place has the worst kind of secret shoppers follow me around act like they are shopping but don't try to shop all they did was make my girl and I feel like we shouldn't be there . We spent $128 there but felt offended because we don't look like we have money to pay for what we got I put stuff back paid my bill and left . I won't ever ship there again because I felt humiliated by the management. I have feelings and they made me feel I wasn't good enough to shop at their store so I wont

Rob in special order is the best! He says "Hi Joel" everytime I'm there and asks how I'm doing. That makes me feel important and valued as a customer. He always has my orders ready and runs a great team of folks. I'm always on the lookout for Rob because I know he's got my back. It's important to have great people behind you when you run a business, I count Rob as one my own because he is so important in making sure I get the best head start possible for my work day. I never want Rob to leave, but I know he will and deserves to move up.

I always enjoy shopping at Menards. They generally have the best prices in town from what I’ve seen, it is clean and organized. Staff members are friendly and there are many of them to assist you. I would recommend Menards to a friend.

This one is for Lavon (Not sure the spelling but our cashier said “Lavon” is the manager in the paint dept). Anyways we went to purchase some wood and paint and just needed an exterior white paint. We found one that was on clearance for $9 and an identical paint can that was also leaking paint and simply asked if that one was also on clearance and just hadn’t been marked. They called the manager Lavon and she said no, and that was fine but her attitude was completely unwarranted, absolutely unnecessary negativity. I told her that I would go get another can instead since I didn’t want a damaged can if I was going to pay full price and she ordered me to take the one back to the shelf. Her attitude was just ugly and I hope that someone talks to her about it. I know I’m not the only person who has experienced this negativity. Legitimately for absolutely no reason at all. It was just ghetto and trashy. We checked out at 2:25pm on Sunday the 16th if that is any help and we checked out immediately after the interaction we had with this individual. Strongly considering going to Home Depot next time as I’ve never had any negative interactions there.

Typical big box home improvement store, plus a few groceries and work clothes thrown in. They have more inventory than the other similar stores in town. Don't expect a lot of assistance from the staff...they're mostly there to put stuff on the shelf. Buying an appliance there is a real challenge...you will likely know more than the employee. They did beat the price of both Lowes and Home Depot on the washer dryer pair we bought there, but the staff was clueless.

Store employees were very helpful. The back dock worker was unprofessional and unpleasant and hateful attitude. He was not helpful at all. We had to load our own merchandise as he went back inside.

Ordered lumber, scheduled delivery for a Thursday. At the end of the day on Thursday I have no lumber. I call the store "we can see the order, we'll deliver it late Saturday." The customer service rep on the phone explains to me that scheduled delivery dates are only suggestions.He confirmed that there was no inventory issue and also refused to do anything better than setting up another delivery perhaps 'suggestion' for late Saturday. He did provide us with permission to come and get the lumber order for ourselves.Thankfully we have Lowe's to come to our rescue.

Nice stuff and full service. But the front door you cant use as an exit with the exit 50 yds away makes me never want to come here. Its petty crowd control with a punishment walk for needing to go to your car. Great selection though.

I went in to exchange some small items and had no problems. This store is always well stocked and has what I need for a fair price. My only suggestion is to remind their staff to speak more clearly when wearing their mask. I spoke to three staff and none of them were easy to understand. Other than that, I had a good experience as I expected.

To me, menards is a bit more diy friendly than most other home centers. Their prices are fair and they are well staffed throughout the store. They carry an eclectic assortment of tools which are mostly homeowner quality, with a smattering of contractor/professional products. They do not go very deep on specialty products in plumbing or electric, but the assortments are large and varied enough to cover most needs. They have a variety of credit programs, but those are operated by capital one. Their rebate programs are also a nice incentive to shop there.

Nice helpful friendly employees. Seems they have a better stock of most lumber then the other home improvement stores. The other big + is if your getting quite a bit you can drive up to the lumber and load so your only moving it one time, bad part is no AC when you do that. Been back several times and is now my go to home store.

Love these guys. EXCEPT!!!!! 4 out of 5 visits ended with the GRUMPY KID at the yard gate. Y'all need to adjust his attitude. If he hates his job send him packing. Don't need him to ruin an otherwise great experience.

Yes they have that also. Huge place with people to help. Great prices and oh yeah, they are a home improvement store too. You need soda they got it. You want a mattress, they got it. You need lawn furniture to go with your new grill you got from Menards, they got it. They even have a motorized shopping cart to g o find the stuff you didn't even know you know you needed.

Navigating the lumberyard weekday mornings is a joke. Contractors block the drive making it impossible to pickup your orders if it is inside one of the buildings. The workers are generally unhelpful for finding products and cannot do anything about rude contractors poor habits.

My husband and I tried to order cabinets but the lady helping us was more concerned with the phone being answered. The first time we let it slide but the second ti.e we just left. We had her attention for a whole 2 minutes.

When I shop here, I basically go in and buy my stuff and leave. I don't really interact with the staff. I don't find them to be friendly. This Saturday we decided to go get a few things. My boyfriend and I had our own separate purchases. The cashier was rude. I put my card in to pay and the reader malfunctioned. She said not to pull my card out too quickly which I didn't. It malfunctioned again, only this time, the #5 button got stuck and I couldn't input my PIN. Finally, I just swiped and it went through. Meanwhile, she talked S__T to the guy next to me about ME, saying I wasn't understanding her instructions not realizing that he was with me. She said, "Did she listen to me, no she didn't" So, if management is reading this, please tell Jessie that it's really rude to behave that way and it's unprofessional.

This is the best hardware store in Topeka. Customer services are exceptional. They are happy to see you going to the store. Yesterday I was looking for a 7" duct pipe before visiting all the other hardware stores in the area. Some don't carry it others like lower only tell you where you may be can found it. Menards' stop what they are doing and show you where the items are and give you options.
