Been to his location several times and usually have good service and people are super helpful. Definitely prefer Lowe’s over Home Depot for quality of products!I do want to note that my past two experiences have been awful here, so I don’t know if management is going downhill or what. I came in to get another gallon of paint to finish my daughter’s room. Stood at the counter in the Paint section for a solid 4-5 minutes with an employee on a ladder within eye view looking over at me several times, without any acknowledgment.I eventually went to the customer service desk and asked if anyone was working in paint today; to which they confirmed and called for help right away. Super nice ladies! Turns out, the guy that looked at me several times but decided not to acknowledge me was Julian, the employee working in the paint department. *Face Palm* Why come to work if you don’t want to help customers…?Still giving 4 stars overall, because I have been a customer for a while and don’t consistently have poor experiences like this. I want to complement the ladies in customer service who were very on top of things getting me assistance, and also Jennifer who engaged with me in self checkout. She was so sweet and friendly! Thank you to these ladies for making up for what would have been a really disappointing experience!

Needed to purchase a washer and Kyle was the sales person. Sales experience was good but even better was the delivery guys. The 3 guys were very courteous and friendly. They were very careful about bringing in my washer. I would recommend Lowes for purchasing appliances & home delivery. Thanks guys!

Disappointed again. Waiting in line for 5 min. to check out in Customer Service line (didn't mind the wait). Lady there told me I had to use the self checkout and wouldn't help me. I went to self checkout and waited again for 5 min. as Shirley (fantastic and nice lady) helped me check out since I didn't have my DL on me (just mil ID). I shouldn't be forced to use a self check out when there are employees behind a register. Pretty terrible that lowes has done this I Topeka.

We shop at Lowe's often and have had good experiences. The last two kitchen appliances we purchased were from Lowe's at prices that beat their competitors. The problems we experienced with both appliances were related to installation. We have learned the installers are not Lowe's employees, nor (in our two cases) local handymen/contractors. Unfortunately for Lowe's, the installers reflect poorly on Lowe's. In the first case, a range was delivered. The installers were going to slide it across our wood floor until I stopped them and got some pads to put under the feet. They also did not install the spacer on the back of the range to keep a gap from the wall for heat dissipation. After finding the piece, I installed it myself. The second install was an over-the-range microwave by CRST Home Solutions - the trucking company that contracts with individuals to take appliances from their warehouse and "install". The installers never pulled out the installation instructions. They also chose not to use the template provided with the microwave to locate the bolt locations on the shelf above the microwave. While one installer held the microwave in place and dipped the front down, his partner tried to eyeball where the threaded connecter was located on the top of the microwave and drill down through the shelf - not a small pilot hole, the large bolt hole. Needless to say, he missed the mark, so drilled another hole next to it - see picture. After they left, I purchased a fender washer to provide more support. They then asked if we had a small vacuum to pick up the dust created from the hole drilling. Shouldn't an "installer" have a vacuum? Anyway, they did not drop the microwave down to vacuum, they stuck the vac intake in the gap between the shelf and microwave. They then turned on the lights and ran the vent, then left.We turned the vent on later and did not feel any suction. I pulled out the instructions and read that the fan motor was supposed to have been removed and rotated 90 degrees, which was not done. Called the installer and they came back out 2 days later. Sure enough, rotating the motor was the problem. BTW, they had to take the microwave down to rotate the motor. When they did, they saw all of the sawdust on the top of the microwave from their drilling holes. Again, they asked if we had a vacuum to clean up the dust.Sorry Lowe's - no problems with your store, but our experience with your installers was not good - twice. Because of that, you get down-rated. Ultimately, you are responsible for using poor quality installers.

It's a good place but I don't know who knows less, home Depot or them. I can never ever get any help, have a lot of unknowledgeable people working which is frustrating at times. Even if they don't own a home or have any experience, maybe some training would be beneficial to the customers.

I ordered a refrigerator online. They sent me one email and I haven't heard anything from them since. I hope that I get my refrigerator on the day I chose. There was no time given so I guess that means from anytime from when they open to when they close. You think they could give you a better idea just in case something came up you could work around the scheduled time. I think they change sizes and brands every week, I know the price sure does. We'll see how things turn out and will let you know.It came and the 2 men that brought it up were useless. One spoke no English and the other looked like he just turned 18. They told me nothing on how to set the temperature, that it needed to be adjusted for the door to close on its own, nothing. I know I will never have anything delivered from there again!

No cashier's everything is self checkout..... I think that there was only a few people in the store.... more employees than customers ...had to go to Menards for some things that they didn't have and they were busy..... can't see Lowes sustaining much longer

If I could it would be 0/5. My pregnant wife bought a clearance dishwasher stating it was on sale because of a dent and not used back in October waiting for me to separate from the military to install it. The dishwasher came with no brackets, no box, no cables, and was dirty inside. Obviously used but according to them not. Fast forward to recently. I separated from the military and moved back to Topeka and installed it. After a couple loads we found out it leaks underneath the unit no where near the hoses I attached. Called 2 times and was transferred to a manager both times after waiting on hold for 15+ minutes the call ended. Total of 6 calls and was informed to contact the dishwashing manufacturer on the 5th call while the 6th call was on hold for 20 minutes until I gave up attempting to get assistance with a broken product they sold.

Unfortunately, the worst Lowe's that I have had the experience of visiting. I prefer supporting Lowe's to Home Depot due to the corporate stances and frankly, large price disparity that you see between similar (and a lot of the times, the same) items. I went to the Topeka Lowe's to do a warranty claim on a Kobalt Li-ion battery - I called ahead to verify things and upon arriving, received a very unamiable reception from the customer service manager; after telling me that I could not return the battery, due to it being outside of the 90-day window (of course, it's 2 years old, but Kobalt offers a 3-year warranty via Lowe's), I had to actually clarify that it was a warranty return. The customer service manager reviewed their inventory and told me that I'd need to contact Kobalt directly, as Lowe's no longer appeared to carry the battery. At this point, I was a bit frustrated and ensured that I received adequate instructions on how to follow-up with Lowe's after contact Kobalt. Kobalt contact was seamless; I called the Topeka Lowe's after this to confirm that I was good to bring the battery back in with applicable info from Kobalt, as I felt that given the my prior in-store experience, I should call ahead. I was again greeted via phone by the same customer service manager who told me that I would be unable to submit the warranty claim because I did not the RA (Return Authorization) number - Kobalt gave me a Reference Number and specific instructions for Lowe's to contact them if ANY issues arose. Notwithstanding, the customer service manager told me that I did not have the correct number, they did not typically contact Kobalt (seriously?) and that nothing could be done. After ~5min of the aforementioned conversation, I said okay, that's fine and they hung up. I reached out to another local Lowe's (Shawnee) and they were MUCH more helpful and detailed to me that the Reference Number was infact the RA number; I even called Kobalt back to double-confirm this and it was correct. Needless to say, I DID NOT GO BACK TO THE TOPKEA LOWE'S and went to another local one, where's my warranty exchange claim was processed expeditiously. So ultimately, no grips about the warranty claim for a Li-ion battery, Kobalt's handling of it or the Lowe's OUTSIDE of the Topeka metro within the area. My sincere issue is the rudeness and near contempt that I was treated with upon visiting the Topeka Lowe's. I won't be going back to this location and I'd suggest that you do not either. Lowe's is solid, but a bad apple can spoil the bunch.

Went today when they first opened at 8a. You would think they had been open for hours by looking at the floors. Stuff everywhere and looked like it had not been cleaned in a week. Had not been to Lowe's in a while, now I remember why. You can't see much in the photos, but took them anyway.

I spent an hour just trying to reach customer service about my order. When I finally got through, they could not find the order. The IVR is truly terrible.Update: The IVR is still bad but the local staff reached out and got things fixed, then followed up to make sure we were happy. The staff is good and helpful when you reach them. Upgrading stars for good follow up.2024 - Downgraded for a poor in store return experience.

Kind if expensive. The 2 people that we talked to in different departments were super nice, but, couldn't answer our questions. 🤷‍♀️

This location is trash. I have had nothing but issues here. We ordered brand new security doors and they were installed wrong. We ordered a weed whacker from them and they gave us a returned one covered in grass. We then ordered a brand new grill at full price and they just delivered their dirty, damaged, rusted floor model. I've had it with this location. 👎🏼👎🏼 I will never shop here again. I've given them plenty on chances to be half way decent and they have failed every time.

My husband and I bought a washer, dryer, and a fridge. Lowe's allowed us to choose a delivery date, the date we chose was a week after the purchase date. The time frame that was given was from 8am -8pm. Around 4pm, we called to see if they could provide a more specific window in which the delivery would occur. We were then told the delivery would occur late that night or on Monday. It did not come on the day we requested. My husband went into the store to speak with a representative, due to the call being vague for a Monday delivery. We learned the delivery date was now delayed by 2 weeks due to a shortage in appliances. Mind you, this information wasn't given until we asked. We also learned that the items WE BOUGHT were sold due to never being taken off the floor. We did receive a refund, but now we must repurchase the same items that are now more expensive.I do not recommend.

Matt was of great assistance with matching the paint I needed to complete my master bedroom when I ran out and could find the same color anywhere after two days of searching. He took time to explain everything with the knowledge he shared and the time he took with me to carefully select the correct paint and then even made sure to remind me of any other needs he could help with in case I had forgotten. For a younger employee, he showed great mannerisms and gave me great customer service. I was very impressed with him and wished that we had more employees to experience everywhere. Thanks Matt!

Not happy about forced self check out. Of course, electric equipment is trying to become the norm as ridiculous as it is, but seeing it on the inside floor is just.... ugh.

Good place to buy lots of stuff. Shoppers may prefer to consider the State Line store, when shopping for clearance items and other bargains .

Difficult to get paint at this store! They told me 2 days in a row that they are out of "sonething" they need to mix paint. So now I am stuck with a half-painted living room for several days. Very disappointed in this store. Will shop elsewhere from now on!

Your pro desk has gone to hell since Julie left. You have even more employees now than you did before she left and yet we still cannot get anyone to even answer the phone. I know the labor shortage is hell but two employees that know what’s going on are better than 5 that have no clue what they are doing! I have been a loyal Lowe’s contractor customer for 20 plus years but even Menards are doing better than you !!!!!!

Carpet department, salesman was helpful, courteous, and very patient with getting the work order details correct from the measurements. He said Lowes went to a new system that is supposed to be simple, it was not. I'm happy with the overall outcome for our new install.

Took over an hour to pick up an online order. The employees were not communicating what they were waiting on or why it was taking so long. I have not had this problem at other Lowe's stores.

If it was any more difficult to give Lowes your money, you might as we go to Walmart. They have nice products though their check out lines are always extremely long or there is only one open. Skip it and go to Menards or Home Depot if you are in a hurry.

I started out wanting to give a 5 Star comment but that has changed in the last 12 hours. Firstly, I want to give 'Amanda' in Appliances as well as the Delivery Team a huge kudos for making my purchase and delivery easy and quick. In about 12 hours after purchase, I had my new fridge up and running in my apartment and the old one taken away. Now, I called Lowes to personally thank Amanda but could not reach Appliances by phone. I noticed that the voice prompt said they were 'working on my order' (which had already been delivered). My 'order' also didn't/doesn't show up in my online account though it (still) is referring to it this morning as being 'worked on' instead of 'completed'. So I tried calling back this morning and reached Appliances where the guy said Amanda was indeed there, but nothing else. I asked if she was working in Appliances and he replied yes. I asked was she working and he said yes, she's here. Silence. It was clear after a minute or two he wasn't interested in finding Amanda or asking me for my name and number so she could get in touch with me. I hung up. I called back to speak with the store manage to tell him of my very positive experience but got caught-up with some guy obviously stressed and talking excessively fast, saying the managers were in a meeting.Well, I've had pretty good experiences at this Lowes, in the plumbing and paint departments, and of course Appliances with 'Amanda', but not so much today with everyone else...or the IT people.

I love Lowe's ORDER ON LINE and pickup. This service is so helpful to those of us with some physical issues that require help. The staff have always been pleasant even when I can see they are incredibly busy. I appreciate that
