Grocery store is nice but disappointed on the gravy. The gravy wasn't fresh and big chunks of gravy. The employee just poured some water on it to smooth it out. Sorry but this isn't what I was expecting when I came in today to get some fried chicken. Macaroni and cheese was dry and gross. Very disappointed on the gravy and mac n cheese!

Despite being a national chain, it still has the look and feel of the hometown grocery store. When there is a sale, prices can be sorta competitive to Walmart. But Dillons is definitely my secondary store. I only go there for a wider selection than what is available at Walmart or Aldi's. Their business practices have created a ton of food deserts. They close "under performing" stores to create larger stores out of neighborhoods that need them. I get the whole profits thing. I don't see them putting anything back into these neighborhoods they abandon. Because of the lack of choices in grocery stores I can't totally abandon them. But I have vowed not to give them my primary food dollars.

Normally love this Dillon’s and the staff. Unfortunately, today during checkout “Mark” was bagging groceries while belittling a staff member. It sounded like the employee used the bathroom without permission. The employee asked if she could use the time she was away at her break time, probably since it was clearly Mark was upset. Mark let the employee know next time she needed to “check with management.” It was disheartening to hear someone use their power and control to talk to another human like that. If there was an issue/protocol that needed to be address it sure didn’t need to happen in front of other staff and customers.

The store in Flemings Place is a lot smaller than other Dillon's stores. I would compare them to Walmart marketplace to Walmart. The selection is limited but it's a great place to get your necessities. The customer service people aren't that friendly but most of the other employees that I have had interactions with are.

Disgusted by the quality of products they have set out for us to buy. Nobody should have to go in and check expiration dates on every item. Please do better.

New edit: 11/2021I patronize this store regularly. When weather permits, sometimes daily. I often grab a drink from Starbucks or a lunch from the deli counter. For the last few months, I have been followed and harassed by a worker named Cathy. This used to bother me because I don’t like being treated without dignity and respect. Cathy seems like the type of lady who gives her job her all and maybe she has a few chips on her shoulder. God knows! When you have nothing to worry about because you did nothing wrong…well, I feel fantastic to be blameless and without fault! This is my neighborhood store. Is very easy to travel to and sometimes I grab lunch and have a picnic at the park. I’ve had some issues with the quality of the prepared food but not many since I’ve been going here. They have great sales on meats. I but most of my stuff here except fruits and vegetables. Their produce isn’t bad, just expensive.Plus they have a Starbucks. It’s convenient for my dad who is addicted to it. Most of the workers are nice and the restrooms are clean. Couldn’t ask for more.

I like the staff, they're very friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and love the sales. Only thing is they need to stock up more on Tofu and keep up on their organic and vegan items. I'm not a total vegan just more health conscious and it'll be nice for me to grab what I need instead of driving to a speciality store for my little stuff.

Prices are reasonable, chicken and Chinese kitchen are decent. Customer service is clearly not a priority.

My favorite Dillon's! They don't have a salad bar anymore or this would be a 5 star rating. The people at this Dillons are what makes it the best.

I understand that it’s not cool to show up 2 minutes before close but I literally had 1 bottle of half and half to get. I could have had it picked up and purchased by 10 pm. I was told they were already closed at 2 minutes until. Disappointed.

Small but good selection. Love their produce and bakery stuff. They also have good quality meats and seafood. If you are not careful they will get you right in the wallet in strange ways. Pricing an item that is normally sold for 1.49 at the three dollar mark so they can then discount it to 1.99.

This is a convenience Dillon's for us. We only visit for quick trip items. The people are nice. The store is well managed. Clean and well stocked. The biggest down fall is parking. There are not enough handicapped parking. I am usually forced to park near the Walgreen and walk the distance. I do appreciate the auto carts. And someone always walks back from the store to assist me with loading my grocieries.

This store sucks. Since they changed it and moved everything around a few years ago I haven't liked it. In past it was my main store as I'd shop at least twice a week. I hate going to Walmart but rather go there than Dillon's Fleming Place store

I go to the Dillion’s on my way home from work on 10th and Gage at times. The freshness of there products is not good! Every time I buy lunch meat in the cooler it is always dried out! I stopped buying it there. I bought fritters at the bakery and was not out dated and dried out. I took it back to the store for a refund and no apologies. Then I also bought a pecan pie at the same visit to find a hard piece of plastic in it. I won’t be back at that location at all!

Good, didn't have Nature Own 7 grain sprouted bread usually doesn't at this location,, or Ruffles low fat sea salt chips, found these chips one time maybe they sell out fast. Is a friendly store nice workers. Wonderful flowers shop. When your older the hanging product signs are great and would like to have the older product signs again so you can look up and see which aisles the products are on and save you walking steps.

Overall friendly employees, minus a few creepy ones. Would be amazing if they could keep their produce somewhat fresh, sometimes I go in and there are limp veggies, mold right out in the open on produce, garlic thats full on sprouting, and there are times where I am walking through the aisles and can literally smell something mildewy or moldy, which is not healthy for customers. There have been a few occasions where the lady in customer service has been pretty rude to us, which is irritating when you think how much we spend here every week. Parking is definitely tough as this place is typically pretty busy.

There are almost 5 other Dillon's in Topeka alone. Let this one close it's pathetic doors for good. Staff is rude, long lines where no one knows what's going on, and the selection is full of name-brand slop. At least there's some *selection* at the Dillon's on 29th and Urish, or the one at the corner of 21st and Fairlawn. At least the staff is competent at the Dillon's at 29th and Oakley. This isn't a Kroger issue. This isn't a Dillon's chain issue. This is an issue with the management of this particular Dillon's. Regardless of this review, the bean counters at Kroger will eventually close this down just like it has closed countless other failing Topeka Dillon's. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

Busy, good prepared foods at the deli, good variety of stocked items, cashiers are trained. Customer Service area is where the staff excells. Enjoy the utensils and kitchen items areas it is always fun to see what they have. Seasonal is always good and I really like the natural foods section. Well stocked. Salad bar is the best in Topeka.

WalMart decided it was too cold to have someone go get shopping carts..so they had NONE available to their customers. Dillons actually had carts, so we came here. Not a bad store, pretty clean, prices are high...but they had carts.

Normally love this location, but today I saw at least 5 employees wearing their mask below their nose, below their mouth, or holding their mask in their hands. This is a terrible example and also not how people working in an essential function should behave. I am disappointed the management is not holding their employees to higher standards.I did notice that all of the employees in check out and bagging were wearing their masks correctly, but employees in the periphery of the store were not, so I'm assuming the ones up front are under more surveillance.I also was surprised there was not hand sanitizer or cart wipes at the front of the store. It feels like this location is not taking public health risks seriously.

I tried to get help from one of the workers, but I tried to understand that they were on a time line for a reorder. I then went to the store manager for assistance, but because I did not word my request for help in a way that sounded like I was asking for help, he kept walking away from me without finding out what I needed. Bad attitudes and poor customer service and satisfaction on my part. If I could have given no stars or negative ones, I would have. The lady that I originally asked for help gave it freely to another customer freely, but to busy to help another. Like I said, poor customer service. Dillons, where friends get helped and other customers are ignored.

During COVID-19, it may be nearly impossible to keep everyone safe and everyone happy all at the same time. I had a terrible incident with employees and customers last night regarding face mask coverings. However and regardless of my complaint, the resultant care and conversation I had afterwards tells me that this Dillons is run by an extraordinary person, Ronda Benning. I hope anyone who may read this considers how grocery store staff are "front line workers" too and, furthermore, how their continued presence and perseverance through these difficult times keeps entire communities fed and afloat. Also, a shout out to all the staff I laugh and joke with, who continue to show up for their community, and who often do a stressful and thankless job that many take for granted as a given.

It's small so you don't have to walk miles from one end of the store to the other but they have all the great accoutrements of the big stores. Minus the pharmacy. There is a deli, bakery, Chinese food, fresh salad bar and a Starbucks. Service is fantastic at this store and the wait in lines is usually short. As for the pharmacy, Walgreen's is a hop away across the parking lot.

It is probably my least liked Dillons in Topeka, It is closest to the house so I utilize it, but the employees seem standoffish and the sale items are often out of stock... Still better than Wally world.. Rochester Rd and 29th St. Dillons are top notch..

Good store, generally. I quit shopping there, though, because of problems with other customers being rude to me, which is not a reflection on store staff. The staff is good. Products are good. Prices are good. Hard to shop in peace, though, when other customers treat me like I'm invisible. Rather than being courteous and waiting until I'm finished picking out whatever item (i.e., waiting their turn), other customers will either hover or just plain butt me out of the way. Not cool. Had someone crowd my back side as I left yesterday. An elderly couple was in front of me as I exited, and they stopped in the middle of the doorway, thus blocking everybody. The person behind me was literally right on my back side, as if trying to push ME out of the way, when it was clear that neither of us was going anywhere. That was beyond rude, and it was the equivalent of being tailgated on the roads. Parking on MY back bumper is not going to make the person(s) in front of me go faster. (I started to say something to this person, but figured it wasn't worth it.) Again, not a reflection on store staff, as they have no control over stuff like this. Just be aware. And, watch out in the parking lot. It's a busy lot, and there's plenty of rudeness there, too. Don't get run over!

A fabulous smaller grocery store in Topeka, KS. It has a great deli where you can eat in or take out plus a coffee bar. This store has a good selection of international foods (Asian, European, Middle Eastern and Mexican) and home care items. For various holidays it offers foods, home decorations and dining accessories as well as cut flowers and fresh floral arrangements. The staff is helpful in providing a good shopping experience whether you are buying one item or for a large gathering.

I find that the produce and overall food selection here can be rather subpar. I have seen already moldy produce here before, so I would recommend going elsewhere or checking closely at what you’re picking out.

Not horrendously bad, but I've had items ring up the wrong price several times, requiring a wait at customer service. Due to my experiences with the Fairlawn Plaza Dillons, I'm not at all sure if the management at this store treat their employees any better. Also, some of the Salvation Army bell ringers tend to freak me out. Seriously, I've seem a few who seem to almost be in (for lack of a better term) an "altered mental state," whether due to medications I don't know. Just last December 2017 for example, I was waiting outside for a ride for several minutes, and the bell ringer was "singing," which consisted of repeating a couple (random) lines from a carol over and over and over and over (and over and OVER . . . . .) I was just about to head inside to find the management to complain.
