I ordered a cake online 4 days before I needed it. When I went to pick it up, they didn't have it and apparently no one had seen the order form. They rushed to make it and I was able to leave after about 15 minutes. It wasn't a very warm day and I even had the cool air going in my car, but as I was midway through the 15 minute trip to my destination, I look over and the icing is MELTING.I have never had such poor quality or service, and I've used Dillons for my celebration cakes for YEARS.I will never again use this location for their bakery. I understand things happen, but blaming the system instead of taking responsibility is unacceptable.

Customer Service: David and the other kind lady at the food checkout was friendly and helpful!Quality of Product or Service: Besides the broken refrigerator, all the items were neatly stocked and organized!Price: We bought 2 of the $7 meals in the food area and we got so much food for the price! Do not sleep on this price!Cleanliness: I found one recipe on the floor inside and a tiny bit of trash in the parking lot but the store was very clean and maintained!Atmosphere: The store was well lit and it was a welcoming atmosphere!Location and Accessibility: There is parking and handicap parking as well as an area for pickup.Speed of Service: There was about a 3 minute wait because the self check out was full. It was still speedy though.Ease Online Ordering or Delivery: Dillon’s has pick up for online ordering!Loyalty or Reward Programs: I’ve saved so much money with my Dillon’s card. Please do yourself a favor and get this card to save at the store and at the gas pump.Overall Experience: Overall experience was positive and I got all that I needed!Any concerns, constructive feedback, or suggestions: If someone could mind checking on that broken refrigerator door that would be awesome. Other than that, excellent job!

Jennifer R helped me check out my groceries this evenning and she was sharing all of these options for us. Explained Digital Coupons, their Gas point offers. I've been shopping at this store for years and never had an employee openly give me so many details to help me save more. It was such a good experience. Thanks Jennifer! <3

Very rude employees. After spending 250 dollars on food I get approached rudely being accused of stealing a pack of eggs? I keep giving this store a chance because its close to my home but after today, I will no longer be spending my money there. Rather drive out my way than to go back to a store that can’t open more than one lane, then accuse people of stealing. And no didn’t get a “sorry” after checking my receipt and embarrassing me infront of the whole store.

Check to make sure you got all your items before leaving the store. They left out items I purchased, and when I noticed after I got home that the item was missing I called customer service, they told me yes we found the item it was paid for and it was not put into a bag and we will leave it in the lost and found for you to pick it up anytime. I asked them specifically if I could come by tomorrow and pick it up instead of driving all the way back that night. Came back the next day just as we talked about and Jennifer at customer service was totally rude and said they do not have the item. I told them the situation and she said I cannot get a replacement item unless I have the receipt with me. That is not what the guy at customer service said. He did not say I needed a receipt he said I just needed to come pick it up. Josephina was the cashier/bagger, she was nice enough and just made a mistake not her fault. I did not get the name of the customer service guy who I called into that night. Jennifer was the person working the customer service desk the next day when I came in, she was totally rude. Called Kroger corporate and filed a complaint.

I really like Dillons. I think their prices are a little lower. They have a large variety of items, they have good sales, they mail you coupons, and the store is always neat and tidy. I just wish the store at 21st and Urish would bring the salad bar back. Also, they have really reduced the deli, IDK why because it was always very popular. The Chinese Deli is still the same and it's very good.

I placed a pickup order at this location and thought I had chosen Brookwood. The manager was kind enough to call me and let me know! I love that their substitutions are always reasonable. Substitutions at other places like WM just aren’t as good. I really feel like they put thought and care into it at Dillons. Very rarely out of anything we need. Pickup is a lifesaver for a busy family with kids and a newborn! Thank you so much!!

A great variety of everything is available. My go to store when I am looking for something, like a foreign ingredient. It can get pricey so check for sales first. This location is always clean and well organized. Update...still a good Dillons to go to. Of the ones in Topeka, it probably has the best fried chicken! Check it out.

I stopped in this morning to pick myself up something for breakfast. I was amazed at the so called deals. What was normally $5 was on a whooping sale of... $4.99. Another thing, the handicap parking is closes to the west doors but, the only checkouts open are by the east doors. Basically, if a disabled person came in to get something to eat from anyplace in the west part of the store, that's closer to the handicap parking, they will have to go across the entire store to check out then all the way back to get to their car. The brain power it took to set this up is astounding! Let's not be convenient to the customers, lets just make then walk the entire store. They might find another item they want to buy. Looks like a well, thought out plan of greed. I will just continue to shop at Walmart where it's more convenient.

Okay store, terrible management.Edit 2023: probably still terrible management but store is awful now. Got grocery pickup and specifically requested every item be placed in a bag. They brought out extra bags. Half my order is still not in a bag.

My husband and I went to Dillion’s this evening and were very upset by what we saw. We were in line and the cashier was new. It was his first day on the job and he obviously was not trained and ready to be by himself but the manager left him alone anyway. He asked for help on several occasions and was ignored by the manager on duty (Josh). He ended up having to send every customer in his line to customer service because their receipt of their items was incorrect. I used to wonder why Dillion’s was always hiring and had such a high turnover but after what I saw this evening between the lack of training and the lack of concern for customer service now I understand completely.

Good selection, reasonable price, especially with a Reward Card. My neighborhood Store is a large one with lots of selections. It's my primary supermarket for mostfoods paper products, etc. The discounts on gas price, up to $1.00/gallon makes for less pain at the pump. And, I don't want to leave out the deli for my hot chicken dinner. Yummy.

Corporate used this store for orientation, then as a customer with sushi in hand an abnormally tall man dressed as a thin blue line mentioned how he quit HIS store. The parking lot had people directing their cameras at me.Working here don't pay much, but you're forcing me I to homelessness.

Pros: store is clean, well stocked, aisles are wide, produce and meats are excellent.Cons: some in store items cannot be ordered for delivery; i have delivery to avoid the store. Whomever makes the bagels needs training- jalapeno/cheddar bagels have cheddar cheese on them; several times i have been told "they forgot", not acceptable. Finally: front end employees are either really good (quick & efficient) or really bad. Why no cashiers before 7 a.m.?

This Dillons is of the large variety with many offerings you don't find at every location. There are more products, more choices, and more staff to assist you if necessary. Management vigilantly over sees checkout for smooth transactions during rush periods. That extra effort to maintain a frictionless experience trickles down to their staff. Speaking of staff, the ClickList associates are very attentive to your online shopping requests. They go above and beyond to communicate all aspects of your order. My experience put me at ease and was a pleasant addition to the convenience of shopping at Dillons from home.

Great produce, meat dept and deli, fantastic, clean store. Low score is for 2 employees stocking bread and cussing up a storm including the f word many times w no regard to customers or children. Then cashier and another employee proceeded to have a private conversation the entire time we checked out. Next time I'll avoid the employees and it will be better

Employees very lazy didn't know where to look for items or even bother to ask a coworker and self check out lady instead of helping me find a cash register that accepts my card which it has in the past she just says well looks like it won't take your card can't buy anything I guess. Walmart here i come.

I use this store mainly for their salad bar which is the best for any Dillons store in Topeka. The salad bar line goes quickly at the noon hour. If I need something afterwards, the front grocery lines are well staffed. The store is still fairly new and is clean and well stocked. No negatives.

Personally, based only on buying items (which is the only reason for shopping at a grocery store, in my opinion), this store might rate more like at three stars, maybe four. I'm able to find the items that I want to purchase 99% of the time; the few times I had any problems, a very friendly employee was able to quickly help me.What limited this store to two stars was the way the company treats its employees, based on the conversations I've had with multiple employees (several of whom are my friends). The pay tends to be extremely low, barely above minimum wage, and highly variable hours. Also, and more importantly I think, apparently the customers can treat the employees any way they darn well please, up to and including verbal abuse. And the managers seem willingly to allow such activity to occur without any attempt to defend the employee; it even seems to be corporate policy for the employee to receive such abuse without attempting to defend him/herself. (And I have personally witnessed several such incidents.)That's probably the reason why there's such a high turnover in employees, especially with cashiers and baggers. The ones who have enough intelligence (and motivation) to do their job well, apparently realize that the job simply isn't worth it and move on, which leaves those who are apparently only after the paycheck rather than doing the job correctly. So, like any big business, I'm willing to shop here if I happen to be nearby, but I definitely won't go out of my way to do so.

Nice and organized grocery store. Employees are usually helpful and friendly. Quality of fruits and meat are better than Hy-vee. They need to place more cart return spots. They are very apart from each other, which causes people to usually just leave the cart by the parking lot, sometimes causing carts to hit the cars.

I grew up in Topeka, going to Dillon's with my Mom. At that time, the Brookwood Dillon's was the only one. They had a great bakery, everything baked in house.Produce always fresh, prices competitive and wide variety of brands for good selection. As I got older, I continued to shop at Dillon's and remained a pretty loyal Dillon's shopper. As years passed, I shopped different stores but the large majority of my shopping remained with Dillon's. After the store at Belle and 21st closed and the store moved to the Fairlawn and 21st location, there were many positive changes. The bakery once again resumed baking most items, adding many items and updating items, became really busy having to make sure to order far in advance...quality was excellent. The Deli was fabulous, no longer chicken, chicken, chicken and Chinese. The deli had handmade to order sandwiches, dinner menus for each day of the week, mexican, pork chops, prime rib night, Italian, meat loaf, various veggies, potatoes, rice, etc. The Deli was always busy, lunch and dinner. You had to get there early to get dinner items as they sold out quickly...every night. The food was always fresh, never crusty and dried up. Chinese also fresh again and not mushy and nasty. Started having better selections in canned and frozen goods. Then, about 5 years ago, it all began going downhill. Now, there are hardly any onsite bakery items, it's all frozen warehouse junk that's awful, looks and tastes cardboard like and artificial. Nasty. The deli is back to everything chicken and mushy Chinese. The store decided to downsize canned fruits and veggies, they took one long, double sided aisle of fruits and another for veggies , reduced each to one aisle half the length. Now, there are fewer food selections and fewer label selections forcing purchase of Kroger brand and their higher prices Private Selection brand. Little to no brand selection and many foods were sply stopped . Same reductions in frozen food section as well. The other problem is stocking, no matter the day or time, you will find many items throughout the store are not on the shelves, including the meat department, even in the half rotten produce department. Plan on always having to make time to go to another grocery store to get items Dillon's was out of...I finally changed where I shopped and began going to Dillon's for sale items only and then asking for rain checks when items were not stocked. I would suggest you do the same. It so sad, Dillon's was a great store and a great steward for the community. For decades. Kroger is systematically destroying Dillon's stores. So very sad.

"My" Dillon's is now chging a fee for cash. Come on! Groceries are sky high. You no longer even offer to take my groceries to the car and you don't take my mail. I used to adore Dillons and your one stop shop. Your customer service was amazing. Now I leave disappointed a lot of the time. And on a separate note, have you discontinued my large jar, private selection, mellow, corn and back bean salsa? If so, I may have no more reason to return. Seriously, your marketing strategy to act cheap is not working for you.

this location is always stocked with all of the items I use regularly...and they carry many items that other stores don't. things like allergy free foods, a larger Mexican and Japanese selection, and their hot meal options are delicious! Between picking up prescriptions that are always ready when I need them, and buying grocery and personal care items, Dillons is my go to! Their fuel points add up fast so it's never hard to save 10 cents per gallon of fuel at every fill up!
