I was at K-Rocks on a Sunday passing through to Utah. The upper control link mount broke on my front 3 link. Caught it quickly and had little extra damage from the axle rotating. It was recommended to contact 4x4 land. I was there first thing Monday morning, Mike and the team jumped right on it Fixed/reinforced the mount and addressed other items like broke airline for lockers etc.. They knocked it out by noon and I was on my way west for work and play. If you are anywhere near their shop I highly recommend them.

I am visiting from out of state for work and was looking to have running boards installed on my truck. The manufacture of the specific power running boards I wanted recommended 4X4 Land as an authorized installer. So I called and set up an appt with Phil. While there, I got to know several of their guys up front and even the owner. They were all obviously knowledgeable on 4X4’s and Jeeps in particular. I ended up with my running boards, some wheels and tires off of the owners Jeep, and a leveling kit installed.I’m very happy I stumbled across these guys, and I’d definitely go back.

The most knowledgeable staff and great pricing when it comes to off road accessories. I have had multiple vehicles worked in at this location and will always recommend anyone needed anything from bumpers, to lifts, and wheels and tires to give them a shot at earning your business. They go above and beyond and help with valuable input to make sure you are matching the optimal parts for what you are trying to accomplish with your rig.

Left a 5 star years ago, but didn't leave comments. Just had another experience with them this week that has prompted me to add on to my review. They are honest. They have great customer service. They communicate well. They are well staffed. Their techs are knowledgeable and do good work. The owner is present and will handle a situation if it's called for...instead of hiding behind his front line workers. 5 stars again.

Highly recommend this shop to aby 4x4 owner.Cannot speak highly enough about this shop.FANTASTIC customer service and care.The store area is clean and has lots of parts and acessories for your toys.We had some issues with our Samurai as we were passing through. We were in a hurry to get out of town to try and miss as much of the incoming winter storm as possible. They squeezed us in and got us back on the road as fast as the possibly could.I am so greatful, not only for their customer service and friendly personalities but, for their expert mechanics who can work quickly and efficiently.

Forgot to leave a review. Took our XJ there for some diagnostics.. great group. Was pleased with results and the interaction with everyone. Very nice people. Also, the owner stopped and talked too me outside while I was loading up. Very nice guy. We actually have another jeep to call about Monday. We look forward to going back.

There are not enough good words to say about Mike and 4x4 Land! He drove to my home in Shawnee to flatbed my Jeep after the engine blew to his shop in Topeka! Amazing group of people! I had ordered a soft-top camper cover for my truck through this shop, and unfortunately it did not fit the way it was supposed. I took it back to 4x4 Land, and two of the gentleman there stayed later than they needed to to help me figure out that the canvas was not cut right. They immediately ordered me a new one which showed up 2 days later. When that one showed up and had the same issue as the first one, Chris jumped right into customer service mode and called the manufacturer while I was there to order a new one. When the new one showed up Chris again went out of his way to make sure that I didn't run into the same problem a third time, which thankfully this top is correct.Top notch customer service and amazing professionalism all around! I HIGHLY recommend this shop for ALL your truck and SUV needs, and if you have a Jeep, you should definitely go see these guys.

I have been building my JLU, Shark Bait, over the past year. I try and do the upgrades that I can myself, but everything else is done by 4x4 Land. They even fix the things I mess up! 4x4 is the only shop we will trust with our 4Runner and Tacoma. We just finished a re-gear and air locker install on the 4Runner and skid plates, new battery, brakes/rotors and air locker service on the Tacoma, and we couldn't be happier with the work done and the professionalism of the staff. I would give more stars if possible. The customer service is second to none, not just from the owner but the employee's as well.I had a serious transmission problem with my Jeep. I live in KC and the specialty transmission shops wanted to replace it for over $4K. I have 37" tires so I wanted something more durable than stock and the specialty shop couldn't (wouldn't) tell me the specific specs. 4x4 Land (Mike) has a good reputation in the Jeeping community so I called. He picked up my Jeep in KC and took it to Topeka for $100's less than any tow company. He worked with a transmission shop in Topeka that he has stood by for years. They provided a detailed technical breakdown of what went into the new transmission for $1k less than the specialty shop in KC. Once the new transmission was installed 4x4 Land installed gears, ball joints, and c gussets. For those of you reading this review, yes, 4:10 gears with 37" tires is VERY hard on your automatic transmission. I was saving to make this change, but the failed transmission (@ 105K - 2011 JK) forced the upgrade a little sooner.The main reason for me taking the time to write a review is because Mike went out of his way because he WANTED the business. He has built the proper relationships with mechanical experts to take care of his customers and delivers exceptionally. This expertise exists in his own shop as well. The high quality work and pride his employee's take was very evident in the results. Thank you Mike Starkebaum and 4x4 Land, I truly appreciate the high quality service.

Ordered a battery operated light for my truck cover, was quoted fourty dollars installed, several weeks later when it arrived they tried to charge eighty for light and installation. They finally agreed to lower it back to fourty after I complained. When you first go in they act like they are doing you a favor just talking to you. Very poor customer service!

The guys and gals at 4x4 land where amazing. We had a break down on a cross country trip right before a big storm that was coming in. They got our vehicle in the shop immediately and got it fixed with in a few hours. I can't thank all of the great people at 4x4 land enough for there amazing work and customer service. Please like my review if it helps you!I first met Mike 10 years ago, and I must be honest, I didn't like him at first. So I went to the local competitor and bought a few things for my Jeep ZJ. I was new to the Rock Crawling scene so I had a few questions and stuff to learn. I quickly learned that the competitor treated me like a customer. Mike and 4x4 land treat you like a friend.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and part of the 4x4 FAMILY. When you become a customer/freind you quickly learn that you will receive an invaluable gift of advice and instruction even if you are like me who cant budget for shop time let alone a 50k + rig. Mike is an icon in the 4X4 world not just here in the Kansas, but in all the Midwest and beyond. There are employees, friends, and club members that have all been helped by Mikes knowledge and generosity. Me included. Still and always a customer. Thanks Mike for all you and your team do.

Be careful to double check, maybe triple check, EXACTLY what your charges will be ...as we had some new gears done recently and the ending invoice was nearly double what was initially told to us. We had carefully checked what it was going to cost as this was an upgrade project, so were budgeting for it. We originally got all the parts for gears project from them to do on our own and was told that it was everything we needed Guess what...when we scheduled to have them do the work instead and took them all the parts, they started to work and then had to overnight in more parts, as they hadnt initially sold us everything that was necessary. SOOOO extra expenses, work took longer to complete thus caused stress to rearrange ride from KC to Topeka for pick up....and we had to cover costly overnight shipping charges. We are VERY disappointed and may need to look for another source to serve our future needs. We have spent a good amount of money here in the past and NEVER was treated this way before. BUYERS BEWARE !

These guys rock! Kody went the extra mile for me the other day squeezing in my draft shaft fix prior to me leaving on a long cross country trip. I always appreciate speaking on the phone or in person with the crew at 4x4 Land. Mike runs a solid operation and I highly recommend their shop for your offroad and on road needs whether you have a pavement princess or a rock rig. Competitive prices, timely work, great atmosphere and great service. Hands down the best ive dealt with in four states ive been in over last 10 years.

i would call this a 50/50 shop. If you need work done, they can surely do it....if you need parts, they really dont have much in stock, they pretty much have to order everything. Otherwise, they seem very competent ...however, every time i call to have work done, they are always 3 to 4 weeks out...so i can never get any work done here. Expert Offroad has gotten me in several times with no issues. I can not say if Expert Offroad is any better than 4X4 land because i can never get any work done at 4X4 land, so i cant compare them in that aspect.
