This is a great market I have a lot of choices and their meat counter is awesome. You haven't ate their sandwiches or their burgers you have to try owned by a great bunch of people. Oh and don't forget you can buy Hobbs seasonings here.

If you're looking for great meat, bundles, reasonable prices and friendly faces, MaMa C's Grocery in tiny Thayer, KS is the place to go. We travel regularly between Independence and Chanute and always take the opportunity to stop in a get our fresh meat. I love stopping at MaMa C's for the meat and the great atmosphere in a unique store setting.

Good hometown Grocery store. We got a meat bundle. They cut the meat ,weighed, and packaged what ever you want in front of you. I like that no surprises. Then we had our lunch they cook also. Fresh food. Good place.

Stopped here Sept 27 2016! Ate a cheeseburger and bought a map. It was awesome! (My Google timeline photos reminded me where I was this day three years ago and apparently there I was!)

If you like great sandwiches made to order with all fresh stuff you have to go to Mama C's grocery and while you're there you can buy meat from the "old fashioned" meat market and other great stuff with friendly service! It is a long drive for us and well worth it!
