This is a really clean newer Dollar General store. We found some really good deals on pop, snacks, cereal, kitchen & bathroom cleaning supplies. But the AC temperature was set fairly high, about 85 deg. I asked the cashier why is it so muggy in here, and she said the corporate office controlled the thermostat remotely, and they always turn it up a few hours before closing, to save money on electricity.

The store is very new and clean. It's a great asset to a small community. The GM was very responsive when I had a complaint. The only downside is I just stopped by around 9:30pm and found out the new store hours are til 9. I'm very disappointed and wish the correct hours were displayed in the website.

Typically a good place to shop. But because I have a relative that works there, some people have a problem with me shopping there when she is working. I work all day as well. Not my fault I can't get in there when she isnt working. With the current situation of no water or toilet paper I am being scrutinized. Is my money not the same weather she is working or not.

"I live in Abilene and the store is much cleaner and more organised than the Abilene store,it takes the Abilene store forever to stock the shelves,after their truck comes in and,it is a shame I have to go to Salina or Solomon,or even Junction City ,in which I don't like to go there,but only when necessary"The Solomon Store is a better and nicer store"

I would definitely recommend this store over the abilene store that's only 10 minutes down the road. Very clean store and had exactly what we needed. We'll organized and friendly staff!
