This place is one of a kind. The service is top notch, people in other places ought to take a few lessons from this establishment. Upon entering the store, you are hit in the face with an amazing smell of baked goods and sandwiches! The ordering process was smooth and quick, the staff brought the food out, had a smile on their face, and was always accommodating! Greg, the owner, had such attention to detail about the shop that it stood out! The cookies were probably the best cookies I have ever had. Thanks for a great sandwich, cookies, and experience. Will be back no question!!

Family ran, with fresh baking, smiles, courteous, & clean. Sister, of owner, in Ohio ships in her award winning afghans for sale at shop (and they are very nice!), selection of Amish canning, lots of homemade treats. Deli counter provides quick service of fresh baked sub buns (hoagies) with selection of meats, cheeses, etc. and homemade soup. Such pleasant service and clean, tidy store. Indoor and outdoor seating. A little treasure in this otherwise ghost town.

This is a nice small family owned restaurant and store. They serve amazing breakfast rolls and have always taken an interest in getting to know our family over the years. We highly recommend this stop if can come whenever you are nearby.

I love stopping in here and getting a treat. They have some great items that you do not find anywhere else. The homemade goodies are fantastic. The blueberry rolls and deep dish pizza (Greg's style) are my favorites!

Food, service, and selection is all very good. Eat a sandwich there or take it with you. You can even buy a frozen 'homemade' family dinner to take home. Plenty of unique desserts, sauces, and snacks to choose from.

Every trip I make to My hometown in Kansas includes a side trip to this store/bakery/deli/ice cream shop/..friendliest place ever in Sawyer Ks. Many goods, foods, and goodies to try and choose from and the folks who work there & run this place are the loveliest people. It’s a nice place to go and I make more than one trip while I’m home. Highly recommend!

It was first time there, I was so very impressed, food was outstanding and got cookie and ice cream for dessert as well, I highly recommend this place it's worth the drive and you can dine there or take to go. Such nice family atmosphere too.

Family Food Store was wonderful! I heard about it from my parents who saw a story about it on their local news. The people were very friendly and they had one of the best selections I've seen for jams, jellies, pickled vegetables, and salsa's. We also latched onto their candy assortment and fresh home cooked cinnamon rolls. Highly recommend visiting these folks in Sawyer, Ks.

Family Food Store has very friendly employees and the food is absolutely delicious. I favor the pecan rolls but, don't tell anybody because, I don't want them to run out! I've never tasted a roll that I did not like cinnamon, cherry, apple, peach and pecan! The fresh deli meat is exceptional!! I don't think there's anything in this store that you could not get that you would not like!!! I go back on a regular basis!!!

This is a wonderful small family owned and operated store and deli. They have delicious sandwiches made to order and homemade soup. Fresh homemade pies, sweet and dinner rolls and some breads. They also have from scratch frozen casseroles, bierocks and pizzas. A variety of other items of food and some decor. Definitely recommend this as a place that is worth the trip to visit.

The Family Food Store in Sawyer Kansas is spectacular. From a wide variety of deli meats and cheeses to homemade breads, rolls, cinnamon rolls and pies to bulk foods the likes of nuts, dried fruits, snack mixes, chocolates and candies to grocery items to 'Amish Wedding' goods of jams, jellies, fruit butters, salsas, pickles and more ... this family business is a delight and has been serving the surrounding communities since October 2012.The hand-crafted sandwiches on homemade hoagie buns are delicious. The family is very nice. It's an all-around 5 star establishment!This shopping experience is first-rate. It's quality and a great atmosphere. Go there and experience it yourself. You'll be glad you did.

Great, local, family run food store. Lots of natural and homemade products and food items. Sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, sandwiches, pizzas and casseroles are the primary foods, but you can buy local honey and jams, soaps and more. The hours are a little strange, but that's because they're a family. Strongly recommend you go Friday or Saturday morning for fresh, hot cinnamon rolls.

This is Best Secret in Sawyer Kansas! Yummy baked goods, jelly,pickles, sauces,lotions,candy, deli sandwiches, ice cream, and pizzas,casseroles,cheeses,butter,milk and loads of other treasures. Musical clocks, and gift items. A must see place and enjoy all the goodies at sit down tables.
