Tyler helped me today by helping me choose the right animals for my aquarium, as well as rocks and live plants! I had a question about one of my fish when I got home and Mark was kind enough to help me over the phone. The owner is very sweet and kind, easy to talk with. The staff even finds pleasure in wearing their own shirts with fish and animals on them, which makes it more fun! I highly recommend this store, it's just plain awesome and my family and I will definitely be returning in the future💚🐠🐋🐟💙💛!

One star because I had to choose and that I’d give to the nice young man who helped us. Otherwise not happy at all. We drove 90 miles for an algae eater and snails just to have them die two days later and make all our other fish very sick. Thank goodness we had fish antibiotics on hand so they were better in a week. I do not recommend this store for anything live if you want it to stay that way.

Don't visit if you want to see reptiles! Only two normal ball pythons, and a curly haired tarantula in below standard enclosures.Fish section is nice, bird section is average.

Great store. Small but still had everything i needed. Really good aquarium section. And beautiful birds. Edit/update: the outside section with water plants and koi is absolutely awesome. My pond is already reaping the benefits.

The place was alright, definitely comprehensive. The fish tanks looked really well taken care of. The reptile supplies is vast, but also expensive. They had a nice clearance section too.

Maybe the nicest person I've ever dealt with in the pet industry. Been there since I was a child and at 46 I still enjoy dropping in to chat and grab a few things. Limited inventory but ask they will find you nearly anything. Great place to go if you are just starting out in the hobby and don't want to get the whammy from a box store.

Nice place. I was told it's family owned, and I like to shop at those type of businesses. The gentleman on duty, was very helpful, he even helped me carry out my purchases, and load it in the truck. Prices were competitive in general, but, of course, some items were slightly more than the big chain stores. The up side is that it has free parking close to the door. and I dont have to mount a hiking expedition to locate and retrieve my items once I'm in the store(I'm not into shopping). This store also had a nice selection of pets. No felines or canines, but a cool selection of birds and Guinea pigs and hamsters. I'll go back to this store for sure. Local is good. I like to support those businesses, and I encourage others to do the same.

Really love the owner and workers of this great local pet store! I am always an advocate of supporting locally. I have been shopping heavily in the aquatic world lately and spend a great deal of cash here! Great fish selection and high success rate. Good selection of fish and a great price. When I was there they had a pair of Angelfish and they had little tiny babies in their tank it was so neat. The place was nice and clean I would give it a 5 star rating must go see if in the area

Absolutely a wonderful place to go and knowledgeable about many different things. Went there after trying ever other pet store from salina to Manhattan looking for a certain breed of fish that no has. As soon as I walk in and ask he takes me right to the one I have been searching for and the price was perfect. Friendly service and a overall great experience.

Definitely the friendliest staff and my favorite experience in Salina! Very nice selection of fish as well as some beautiful birds. Sometimes they have other animals as well. Great place to get feeder mice/rats and also feeder insects. Overall an awesome store staffed with awesome people. I go pretty much every time I go to Salina!

You can not get better advice anywhere if you are a fish enthusiast!! He always knows how to save them if something is going wrong, even with babies. True Salina gem! I only shop here for fish needs!

I went in about an hour till closing to receive three comet goldfish I had won at riverfest. The worker was helpful, kind, and answered all my questions politely and efficiently. The store was also in great shape. However two of the three fish that I bought are now dead, and its only been about 15 hours since I picked them up. I'm sure it was mostly my fault, but I plan on calling to see what I need to do differently for my third fish, JR.

I always purchased all my new fish here. They continually have a wide variety of every species. And have other critters along with a great selection of pet foods. Beware that the fish varieties can become addictive!

The fish are by far superior to Petco. They live longer and they are healthier. I love to shop local and support local vendors. I will say that you need to adjust your prices to be more competitive with Petco I don't mind paying a little more to support local but sometimes there is a vast variance. You also need to clean up the outside of your building and the signage to ensure that the public know that you're still in business.

They always have a good variety of new fish. Their tanks are always clean and the fish in good condition. For a smallish shop they have alot of inventory for a great variety of pet supplies.

I've read some of the negative comments and they should be ignored.The notion that the place "stinks" is ludicrous. First, it's a pet store. There are animals in there. Two, if it smelled "great," you'd find animals with respiratory infections.On that note, the last two animals we purchased at Petco are dead. Cat that had an unshakable respiratory infection, dying at just a year and a half old, and a chameleon that didn't last long either.The owner here was friendly and helpful. The animals all seemed friendly, especially the cats. A lot you can tell about an owner based on their cats friendliness.They had everything that we needed for feeding reptiles. For that matter, the crickets were lively compared to Petco, where honestly a lot of them are dead before you even get home.Coming back to this place. You should too.
