There was a strange smell in the store like old meat and fruit. The restroom needed cleaning. The lady at the customer service desk was not particularly friendly.

Items are rarely priced in the system as marked. Rude and incompetent cashiers. The cashier acted indignant after I politely asked her to rebag my bread and produce without can goods in the bag. Denny, RC, Leroy, Randy and Megan are the people to see if you need help. They have customer service skills.

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. The store was dirty, an elderly employee stalked my wife around the store and accused her of stealing, and most of the produce was rotten and old.

I took my service dog to this store with me. An employee named Danny asked if he was a therapy animal. I responded that he was a service dog. As I was walking away he remarked sarcastically "without a vest". To which I responded that he was not required to wear one. I called the store after leaving to speak with a manager. I spoke with a gentleman named John and explained the what had happened and stated that he needed to train his employees. He stated that I had to have some documentation for my service animal and that the health department was giving him problems. I explained that I do not need to present documentation and my animal does not need to be marked either, he does wear a service animal tag. I drove back to the store to give John a card explaining service animal requirements from the federal government. He was rude, condescending and refused to take the card to educate himself and his employees and said they were allowed to ask if he is a service animal. I agreed, but they are not allowed to make me feel like a second class citizen for having a service animal. People unwilling to educate themselves or there employees is a problem when you work in the service industry.

We love our home town grocery store! They have such a great selection and we're able to get everything we need right here. The shelves are always stocked and employees are super friendly and helpful. Why go anywhere else?

We have always enjoyed shopping at this little store, prices are great and a good variety, great vegetables,etc. Today I was treated by the most unpleasant, very rude young lady! If she was my daughter I would have spanked her. She needs another job, not working with public! What a terrible attitude!

The heads of lettuce are not of good quality and workers need to work on friendliness. The prices of most items are too high compared to other markets, it's no wonder the local residents shop out of town.

This store is a good old fashioned small town market. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only reason I give 4 stars is the layout of the store is rather unorganized. They don't have all the food aisles grouped together nor the non food items such as baby, pet and house hold products. They are all mixed together and, at times, alternating between food and non food aisles. It is quite annoying when you are looking for specific items. Aside from that, it is a nice place to stop if you need to do some shopping and are in town.

The manager is a cob and everything is priced as though he were poor-hes not. Things don't go on clearance until after they are already expired. Drive somewhere else, it's really not worth it.

We Love our hometown store. Make sure a grab a sale flyer lots O deals to Save you Money. Great selection of products. I love the Meats and Produce areas. Oh the Deli has great smoked pork Ribs on Friday Yum. Chicken deal is Wednesday, makes KFC worry. And I save an hour drive going to Hays.. yea!!

Pretty ok place to shop for groceries. The people who work there are friendly for the most part and willing to help when needed. They always have someone carry-out groceries when one buys more than two sacks full. The workers who carry-out are especially careful with your bread, chips, and eggs. They usually have all their shelves in every isle stocked up neatly, even the weekly sale items. Their isles are never cluttered up, that I seen, with boxes on truck days. Be sure to try their deli there also. It’s amazing. Amazing for a grocery store deli anyways. Only complaint I really have here is all items they sell here are mildly to moderately overpriced compared to Dillon’s and Walmart, but that’s any small town store. There are a lot worse ones out there. Owe, one last thing, careful of the older, more people seasoned ladies checking people out. Especially the ones working the customer service desk. They can be a little cranky some days. Most days not, but hey, I think everyone has a bad day once in a while. If you really want to know how to them fired up at the customer service desk, just start asking them all kinds of dumb questions that everyone knows what the answers to them are. That and ask them if they would consider breaking their policy just to give you special treatment and ask them like you’re the only one that matters in that whole entire store. Make sure you have a line behind you when you do that too. That’s they quickest way I got a rise out of some of them ladies working there anyway. You didn’t hear that from me, try at your own risk.

Outstanding customer service. I recently moved to Russell and bought a Traeger pellet grill/smoker from this store. The item I purchased was a display model and had a few cosmetic blemishes on it. As such, I asked if the retailer would be willing to sell it at a reduced price and he agreed. After significantly discounting the price of the item, the retailer also threw in two bags of pellets, and a container of seasoning for free. After finalizing the purchase, I went to load up the product my hatchback which it would not fit in without disassembling. The salesman stopped me as I was about to disassemble it and offered to put it in the back of his truck to deliver it to my house, free of charge. Long story short, I came home with an already assembled Traeger that was reduced in price, two free bags of pellets, and a free container of seasoning. I could not be more happy with my purchase. I recommend shopping with these folks with the highest rating possible.

The only reason Jon has a store is because it was GIVEN to him..he is a terrible business owner and has very poor business practices! He plays favoritism and refuses to give raises to those deserving of them..he hires high school children vs adults and wonders why he can't keep employees..he shows blantandt disregard for customers and employees..but mostly employees...check expiration dates...because nobody there does!

If this is the place in Russell, KS, we were in town for a 50th Anniversary celebration and I went to the store to pick up a few things. It is a nice clean store with courteous employees.I don't remember the stores name. If not in Russell, I was not at this grocery store.
