I am so grateful that I found Iron Heart professional dog training. I love my dogs, and I would not trust them to anyone who I didn’t trust implicitly. When I brought them home from their initial training, I needed to do some work myself to effectively communicate with them, but there was no question that they were ready to move forward, but just waiting for me to catch up to continue with Matt’s training. I like to get away from time to time and I have such peace of mind, knowing that when I drop them off at Iron Heart, they will both be safe and loved.

I have a Dutch Shepherd who was a handful and Matt has transformed him into an obedient and skilled bomb dog. I have learned more in the few weekends I spent with Matt training than I ever have in the few years I've owned dogs. I was able to observe other dogs Matt was training or had trained and it's incredible to see these dogs perform their tasks as bomb or bed bug detection dog.

Have adopted more than one dog (Bonnie, Doc, and Bugsy) and have Iron Heart train them. The thing about Matt is this is not a job to him, it's like a personal mission to him. He not only does what he does for the handlers/owners, he also does it for the dogs. He wants the dogs to be just as happy as the owners/handlers.He clearly has made not only me and my family's better, but my dog's life better and clearly happier too! He has a toolbox full of solutions, doesn't keep any secrets, and, imo, most importantly, he cares!

I cannot recommend IronHeart kennels higher. Matt and his staff produce a product that is truly indicative of his many years of K9 training. As a handler for a public school system in central Oklahoma, Matt was tasked with finding us a detector dog with several unique specifications. Matt met every single one of our expectations. I'm very happy with the training and teaching I've received here, for both the human and dog side of the leash. I was training my dog on my own for about five months in bed bug detection (with prior experience in other types of detection), but so far I've learned more in four weeks than I did in all those five months. Matt has a great facility to train in, with several setups and environments to make training very realistic. He's always on time and professional. When time allows (if there's no other clients), he's happy to keep talking about dog training and answering questions, even if it's past our scheduled appointment time. He wants to make sure that the handler side is just as well educated as the dog, because it's definitely a team effort.

I'm so grateful to Matt with his help with our Brendoodle. I have always had dogs and never had an issue with training them until her. We too her to two sections and saw an improvement but then had to be out of town for a week so Matt boarder trained her. We cam home to a new dog. She comes when we call her and follows all command. The best part she is still a fun loving puppy. He trained her with love along with disabled so she is very lovable and well mannered. Thank you so much Matt. Not sure I would have got the same results with any other trainer.

Matt Skogen is brilliant when it comes to training working dogs, and his facility, IronHeart, is incredible. Seeing what these intelligent K9s can do in person is an amazing experience. From seeking out pesky bed bugs, to preventing a bomb from getting through the gates at any major event, to keeping their family safe in the event of a home break in. These dogs are capable of anything, all thanks to Mr. Skogen, and IronHeart. The Owner Matt and his top Trainer Malissa taught me how to maintain my dog's scent skills and how to work in the field. I'm a business owner. My company has the best ratings in my state. I believe in reviews and I wouldn't write one for any reason. Iron Heart makes you feel like family. There was a learning curve but I learned a lot never the less. Now, the product that they produce is very impressive. There was a 15 year stretch when I raised pitbulls. I had 36 grown dogs at once. Sold them all around the country. So I feel that my opinion counts. My wife worked for a vet for nine years. So when I say the product, I know what I'm talking about. The drive of these dogs are like a top, and rare pit bull bloodline. Although a pit can't compare to the hunt you'll get from Iron Hearts dogs. I'm truly amazed at the nose and hunt within their dogs. You only live once. Dont pass up the opportunity to own one of these dogs.

Purchased my bed bug detection dog in 2013, bought my second one in 2016, bought an iron heart trained dog from another company, they are all high drive, well trained dogs. Anytime I've had a problem more so me causing the problem than the dog, I have always gotten a response and tips to correct the problem. When I looked into getting a bugger I spoke to several trainers and Iron Heart was the place. They are in it for the performance of the dogs, not selling an underperforming dog.
