This place is awesome! While on the small side they continue to expand their selection and the quality of everything has been outstanding. They run different amazing lunch specials throughout the week. The food is great, as is the staff!

First time visiting from out of town, went by and grabbed a hanger steak on my way home and it was one of the best flavored steaks I’ve ever had. Great quality meat and friendly service. Will be back anytime I’m in Pittsburg to stock up!

Great food and locally owned. And the beef is local as well. I haven't heard one negative comment about the quality of their food. If you want good local farm raised beef, then give The Meat Shed a try.

I love this place. The guys in here really up the game on all their products. I know they enjoy their work because every time I'm in there, they are always talking about what awesome food they have or will have in the future. This place is the best place to get good, local meat and at a pretty decent price.

I think their product is good. Their sandwiches are expensive for the quantity of the in house cured meats. They are also not well thought out - combos do not work. I also felt a cold welcome and a bit of arrogance both times I bought sandwiches there. They ought to rethink their offerings.

Amazing sausages and cheeses for hosting/snack trays. Don't be surprised if your guests are talking more about your spread than the big game. Nice owner, intelligent helpful staff.Don't pass up the pimento cheese spread.

We love this place, their Thank you Meat Shedmeats are so good, the pimento cheese is one of my favorite things too. It is so nice to have great meat just around the corner and down the street. My granddaughter has social anxiety, but loves going in there and visits a little. She comes home and tells me how clean it always is and how nice they are, that's coming from a 17 year old!!!

Neat little LOCAL shop with local items, fun staff and DELICIOUS REAL FOOD! A must stop anytime we are in Pittsburg. Just typing this I need another sandwich!

We went in after class to get a meatloaf sandwich. First time I have ever heard of something like that and first time in the store. The people behind the counter were kind. The meatloaf sandwich probably changed my preference of sandwich/burger meat. It was delicious!

Went for an early lunch. Sandwiches are top shelf. Exactly what we needed on a hot day so we didn't have deep fried gut bombs. Don't sleep on the house made pickles. They were dope. They also had a selection of beers in the cooler, which I appreciated (and selected from). If I was a local, I'd buy from the butcher cabinet. The guys running the joint are super chill. You should go.

This is a particularly special place that they are somehow able to manage extremely good quality with consistency. They vary their menu daily and it was on point every single time that I went there. Their selection of meat is the best in town (locally supplied). Also, I would recommend their charcuterie! It’s unique and delicious! It can be pricy… but the quality makes it totally worth it

The guys running this place are awesome. Super nice people. We ate in and it’s very comfortable and relaxing. We order the capucana sandwich, I think it was called, with hit pork and ham, swiss, letuce, maters, onions, and pickles. It was $30 with tip ($26+$4). The sandwich was freshly grilled and hot and so very good! But there were no sides. Not chips or fries or anything. Maybe if it came with a drink and side It would have been the best.

So.. I have to brag for just a minute on how wonderful The Meat Shed is here in Pittsburg. The best service, so nice and helpful for my specific dietary choices, and such a great selection for locally and humanely sourced meats and cheeses.I haven’t had real cow cheese in almost 3 years, and they had a wonderful selection of local cow AND goat cheeses!! Not to mention, their whisky pickles are some of the best I have EVER had!!10/10 recommend! If I could give more stars, I would!!

Stopped in for lunch today & the Rasputin sandwich special was unbelievable! This is a MUST stop in SE Kansas. Bought some local raised hamburger for burgers on the grill and some KC Hotlinks. Great flavor!@@
