A friend told me about this place and on our way home we decided to give it a try. We got chicken corn chowder soup. It was very good. French dip and rueben. Both were great! They were very busy coming out of a rush, and our wait was a little bit, but definitely worth it. Once our order was taken, our food was our quick! We will be back.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great value for the price. The egg salad sandwich is tasty, and so large I'll get two meals out of it. The cheesecake is wonderful!

We have been eating at The Mall Deli for over 30 years! My husband gets the Reuben and I either get chili or a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. None of that may sound very exciting, but their sandwiches have generous proportion and are always made with quality ingredients. The service and atmosphere are superb. This is our go-to place for a quick bite to eat when in Pittsburgh, Kansas.

My meatball sandwich was huge, in fact best eaten with a knife and fork. The marinara sauce is VERY mild, no spice. The roll was very soft and fresh. The “German” potato salad was good.Service was quick and friendly.Recommended.

They didn’t put the cheese on a grilled ham and cheese and I asked before I left cause they’ve done it before. So this is what I got when I asked for the cheese. It is the same sandwich but they literally slapped some cheese on it and didn’t even heat it up. I usually have no issues.

Extremely fast and delicious. While you're waiting for your order there are crackers with creamy Italian dressing to snack on. The menu has a good variety and is very affordable. My plate was clean, and they aren't small portions, so I definitely enjoyed it!

I ate here twice while in town. It's edible and didn't make me ill but that's where my praise must end. The place looked dirty, I think that carpet should come up. I had the submarine sandwich and the chili dog. The sandwich bread was sweat and nothing special at all. The meat was about the quality you'd expect from Subway. The chili dog was OK, but nothing special. I've had much better. What I am really amazed by was folks squeezing a totally ordinary salad dressing on saltine crackers?!?!?!??!! I'd go somewhere else.

It's always a happy day when I get to go to Mall Deli. Their Reuben sandwich is THE BEST! ...especially with a deviled egg. And I always have a bottle of their creamy Italian dressing in my fridge.

Jane got us seated promptly!!!! The place really is legendary! Always a must visit when I go to Pitt. You consistently have super friendly staff members and they put out fantastic food. Been going here with family and friends since it was in the old location inside the Meadowbrook Mall. (Old age)Even got some bottles of Creamy Italian to go. Our bill was super cheap and I am still smiling about the visit.FYI - Molly our server was super awesome!Great prices along with great food and super service....hard combination to beat. My family was in Pittsburg on President's day doing some shopping and decided to try The Mall Deli for lunch due to recommendations from some friends back home. We got there around 11:30am on a Monday morning and was surprised to see a line to get in. While waiting in line we spoke to a couple in front of us to get some suggestions and they said, "try everything". I noticed the menu on the way in and was happy to see the prices are extremely reasonable! The Hostess and waitress were very friendly and did a great job in making us feel welcome. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich with chips and a side of potato salad. My wife got the Deli Burger with american cheese and grilled onions with chips. My son ordered the Nathan's Hot Dog with a side of chili. Everything was cooked to perfection! I have not had a Reuben sandwich in years, and I am once again hooked! Oh i almost forgot, the creamy Italian dressing was pretty good and we tried it with crackers as an appetizer before our meal came! Everything at The Mall Deli was done right, even down to the ice used in the soft drinks! You gotta have the crushed ice haha! We will definitely go back and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Pittsburg, KS area!

I have been eating at The Mall Deli since it opened in 1979. I was born in 1971 so I grew up eating there when my family visited other family members that lived in Pittsburg, Kansas and Liberal, Missouri. I love the Ruben Sandwich. Every time we ate at The Mall Deli the food was awesome and the service was great. I would strongly recommend eating there. I live in Wichita, Kansas and all of my family is gone now so I don't get down to Pittsburg, Kansas anymore. Oh how I would love to eat there again. Keep up the good work. May God bless you always!

I'm disappointed. I have eaten here my entire life. In January it was sold. It has been declining ever since. They are cutting costs where they can, and you can tell!When you cut to much costs it ends up costing you more. Quality of quantity!!Bring back the sliced kosher pickles!

My boyfriend and I came to eat here this evening. We sat at our table we were seated at for about 15 minutes and no one had come to even take a drink order. The restaurant was not busy. I had to get up and go ask for someone to come help us. I am vegetarian so I asked our server if the potato soup had bacon in it and she said it did not. My soup came out and there was indeed bacon in it. I told her about there being bacon in it and that I couldn’t eat it and she still charged me for the bowl and didn’t even ask if I wanted something different. The service was horrible and the workers do not have adequate knowledge of the menu. Was very disappointed.
