The only people I ever want to work on my mowers.Joel and Angela are kind and they have your best interests in mind. Especially if you run a business, they will do their best to get you on the road again ASAP.Too many times before bishops have I had mower techs work for hours or weeks only to say that they don't know what the issue is, then I take it to Joel and he fixes it in 5 minutes. That's how good he is. I won't recommend anyone else like I do Bishops.

I have bought a couple saws from these guys and the service is nothing short of amazing. I have to drive a half hour each way just to get there but it's well worth it. They stand behind anything they sell. My dad won't use anyone else either and he's got to drive almost 40 minutes one way just to see Joel. Can't recommend them enough.

Bought a Husquie from them the other day and Joel made it super easy and had a fair price on the mower.What really impressed me was the delivery Brad did on my mower. Went over everything in great detail and even waited for me to make several runs up the large hill at my house to make sure I felt comfortable with it before leaving. Really good team.

I haven’t even bought my mower yet, came to check out zero turn mower options. Joel was very informative, matter of fact and not pushy at all. People were coming in that day from an hour away. Seemed like everyone knew him by name and vice versa. Definitely the kind of place I want to do business at and see more of.

Pulled in and fully expected to drop it off and leave it for a few days.. they said go around back and I never took it off the trailer and they were right to it.. No messing around. Excellent place and friendly mechanics that are very good..I will be back on my next service or purchase. Period.I would recommend then

I looked at and was sold was a brand-new riding mower. I didn't get to start it up at the store, but from what I saw, it looked good. Finally got it delivered to me and I am convinced the mower I saw in person and purchased is not the one I received. The mower that was delivered to me came filthy, dented, had rust starting in the dented area, came to me with 86 hours on it, AND it somehow already had a bad clutch which was repaired for me under warranty by Cotton's in Lawrence. I'll never be back and never recommend this place. I happened to talk to my neighbor about my experience here and he said he hasn't shopped here since the son took over. I can see why. Just wish I had talked to him before spending $3,400 here!

Not very happy. Just spent $170 bucks to get 2 chainsaws running properly. Get home and neither will run. Looks like 2 more trips to Perry to get satisfaction.UPDATE:Went back to see if this could be handled. Was surprised to learn that my previous comment had already been read. I was greeted cordially and quickly. The saws were brought in and immediately serviced. Just a small issue with the fuel having oil in it (I'm thinking should have been caught 1st time around). Reguardless everything was back in order. Good job

Took my old Stihl saw in for a tune up several months ago. Has worked great ever since. 4 chains sharpened and I am just now needing to switch to the 2nd one. Have cut brush and probably 3 pickups firewood. Plus cut up a large Red Oak that had fallen for my neighbor. They were busy but got my chains and saw sharpened and tuned overnight.

Great, personal service. Sell great products, and have resonably priced repair services. You will leave with a higher level of knowledge about your equipment. Also a good place to buy ethanol free fuel for small engines.

I had a wonderful experience at Bishop's. Joel helped me from 1st phone contact to a handshake out the door. I bought a 2016 Wright Stander X mower(which I am absolutely in love with) and Bishops price was by and far the lowest of any place that I contacted. It is a family owned and operated business and in my opinion it does not get any better than that! I would recommend them to anyone looking for equipment or service.

Let me start off by saying that this store is packed with an overwhelming amount of options to meet every yard need you may have. Don't let its outside appearance fool you.We purchased a riding lawnmower with a 54" deck during our very first visit to the store. It took just over 4 weeks to get the mower delivered, which was significantly longer than expected as we were told we'd have the mower within 5 days, but the delivery was done at no extra charge.When our mower arrived, we noticed it had several dings, dents, scuffs, and rust spots on its left side. While I am aware the damage was likely done during the original shipment, we felt it was in unsatisfactory condition for the price paid and asked for a replacement. Joel quickly sent Bob out to retrieve the mower he had just delivered and left us with the promise of returning later that evening with another mower. Bob never returned and Joel never called us with an update or proposed resolution.We remained patient and finally, 3 weeks after the damaged mower was picked up and 7 full weeks after our initial purchase, we got a call explaining that the mower had been repaired and was ready to be delivered again. This time it arrived in perfect condition, which we were very satisfied with.Our main complaint with Bishop's is the extreme lack of communication. We felt like we were left in the dark a lot. The first time was waiting for the orginal delivery and the second time was after our mower was returned due to damage. We had no idea what was going on either time.To end on a positive note, I will say that no matter how frustrated or overwhelmed Joel may have been [ I am sure being a business owner comes with it's fair share of stress], he was never rude to us. In fact, he always sounded upbeat anytime we interacted with him. And while it may have taken significantly longer than orginally anticipated to recieve our mower, we are satisfied with the repairs that were done to bring the mower back up to perfect condition.

I won't be going back to Bishop's again, Joel is a nice guy but he doesn't practice what he preaches. I have a Stihl string trimmer that was in and out of Bishop's twice over a period of two years. It NEVER ran well after getting it back, I had all but given up on it but gave it one more shot and went to TARWATER'S. Those folks told me all the carb parts ( that were replaced twice by Bishop's) were cheap CHINESE knockoffs from Bezos and his cronies. It seems that Joel is on the radio talking about buying quality and not wasting time, but he wasted my time by NOT using genuine Stihl parts.
