Mill Creek Campground in Paxico, Kansas, is located approximately 30 minutes West of Topeka, Kansas, along Interstate I70. The campground is situated by Mill Creek. Being below (lower than) the interstate and surrounded by trees, the traffic noise is surprisingly low. The campground is located along an active railroad line operated by the Union Pacific. While the trains were frequent (sometimes one every 30 minutes) we were not bothered by them. Our campground hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They even offer a pizza delivery service right to your campsite. Paxico offers antique stores, another restaurant, and a post office. We recommend checking the hours for each.

Nice, chill campground right off of the highway! We pulled in late at night, and were not sure if they had late check in options - they *do* have a little stand at the front that is well lit and has self check in directions :-) we tent camped next to our uhaul in a pull through spot and found it very comfortable. It is between the interstate and train tracks, so bring earplugs - we did so and slept great.

Hidden gem. The cabins are fair priced and cozy year-round. The creek is relaxing and fun to kayak in, right under the interstate! Clean bathrooms and hot showers. The local bar and grill has great food and pool table, or you can order pizza/breakfast from the campground office, which is fair priced and tasty! Delivered to your campsite too! Office has plenty of groceries/necessities on hand. Kids playground, horseshoes, picnic tables, shelter area with grill, great campsite.

I love Mill Creek! Beautiful, quiet campground, well spread-out sites, grassy grounds, lovely town for walking in the evening and morning, laundry, full hook-ups, and they often sell necessities like eggs and milk. Some people might mind the trains' proximity but I happen to love hearing them. Mill Creek will even deliver breakfast to your camper! š

Quaint campground next to historic town. Super easy access to I-70. There is a train that right RIGHT NEXT to the campground. The sound didnāt bother us and Iām betting kids live watching it!The sites are level and spacious. $36 for full hookup. The trash dumpster was overflowing (which the owner acknowledged) and unfortunately our large site was next to it. We didnāt realize the problem until we were already set up. Otherwise we could have asked for a different site as there were many to. Hose from.

A very sweet little campground with acreage around.Owner was a sweet woman who took good care of us. Ice, laundry, showers. Clean and decent and a fantastic value, right off I-70,as your traveling through. Lovely little town of Paxico takes you back in time.Nearby activities: Went to the local vinery and purchased some delicious wine. Really good.Safety: Back out of town with no through roads in this spacious residential neighborhood.Walkability: Creek and grass acreage attached with a playground.

Everyone told me going through Kansas was an awful thing, flat, boring, featureless, nothing to see. I never really have listened to that, and I'm glad I did. Two years ago as I was driving home, back to Ohio. When after 8 hours of driving and towing my Adventure Trailer I was getting tired. I happened to see the signs for Mill Creek RV Park. So I stopped, got a spot for $30, met a wonderful lady, cooked myself some food, and got a shower and a good night's sleep before continuing on. Fast forward two years later.. I brought my entire family while venturing to the Rockies. We ended up staying two nights, what a fantastic place to do so. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the awesomeness of Kansas Thunderstorms. Plus the Union Pacific line running right by the campground, soothing! Plus I found a Bison Ranch up yonder that sells direct. Paxico is a town lost in time, which is what a lot of American families need. And Wamego Kansas not far away, "the land of Oz." There is a lot of hidden good in Kansas, and all you have to do is get off the highways.

BEAUTIFUL. It was cheap and safely away from roads, tucked back in a corner of the woods with access to a gorgeous creek with access. Bring your own linens! The cabins AC worked like a charm and the owners were very sweet people. I don't know if I'd ever drive through Kansas to come back, but if I'm ever stuck here again this gem is on my radar.Nearby activities: Playgrounds, cabins, creeks, and lots of room to run.

Beautiful little campground right off I70 - so easy to access and they had plenty of availability for us. Cute little playground on site (and a cool old fashioned merry-go-round!) that my son loved. $35 a night for full hookups and the owners were so nice. We didn't take advantage because we had a very early morning but they offer breakfast sandwich deliveries in the morning and homemade pizza at night!Very happy with our stay!!

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice grounds. Near a creek. After a rain it got kind of gushy but no oneās fault, really. There are TRAINS that go by really close - three times during the night in our case.

If you're in the area and need either a small cabin or an RV spot, STAY HERE!! The owners and property are amazing (definitely take advantage of the $7 breakfast option! It gets delivered to you and was such a great surprise).Cabins were very well air conditioned (you have to bring your own bedding), bathroom (shared) had hot water and was very clean, and the little town across the train tracks is super fun to walk through (especially if you have a pup).Thank you for a great stay!

This is a great little campground! We stopped and stayed overnight, super nice people. Easy access off of the interstate and no traffic. Lots of room for your dogs to run and play. They make the best homemade pizza and deliver it right to your camper. Grounds are clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend!

This park is beautiful! We arrived at 11PM and someone was there instantly and turned the light on for us. They gave us a breakfast menu and in the morning they brought breakfast to our camper! They FILLED our RV propane for $25 and there's a sweet lady who sells crochet crowns here, I had to get one. This place is so charming. They have a very family oriented atmosphere. I would definitely go back if I could but the reality is I will be very unlikely to ever go to this area again. If you need a place to stay, definitely support this family owned campground in this cute small town. :)

After a long day of driving, we were searching for a place to stay. My wife called around to several places with no answer. Then, we found Mill Creek. I called and let him know that we were not going to be in until after the office closed. He said, "Don't worry about it...I'll stay open till 10." We got in around 9:30. The owner was waiting, and after a warm welcome, he offered to guide us out to our spot since it was dark. He helped light up the electric and water hookups. Then, the best part...he gave us a list of different breakfast foods that we could order and they would deliver to our camper. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked breakfast (my mom always said that biscuits and gravy is how you can tell a good cook...and they were phenomenal), took my daughter down to the creek and found some frogs in the later change which my daughter had never seen, and took off well-rested and well-fed. I cannot speak to the amenities, and there is a train that goes by, but it did not bother us at all...what really sets the place a part for us was the service, kindness, and the little touches like breakfast. We will definitely find our way back. Cheers and thank you for being there for us weary travelers.

We had a wonderful stay here at this campground. We were absolutely shocked by how clean the bathrooms were. We stayed in a cabin and I am a very light sleeper and I did not have any issues with the trains, but the cabins are pretty far from the tracks. I would suggest if you are a light sleeper to get a spot further away from the tracks. Mill creek is beautiful and we had a great time swimming and fishing, we were out there all day! The owners are so kind and welcoming and they have everything you could possibly need in the office including home made dinners and breakfast. We will be back in July!

This campground has late registration and pull through sites which was perfect for our stopover, but it had so many other options that we want to come back. The breakfast delivered to your campsite was such a great perk. Love this place! The price was excellent. And Dan the man was friendly and accommodating.

Incredible owners! We had a much longer day than expected and didnāt roll in until almost midnight. Owner was still awake and chipperly welcomed us and checked us in. He graciously allowed a late check out which was a life saver! Good play ground for the kids. Train didnāt bother us. They offer breakfast delivered to your camper!

We stayed at Mill Creek Campground for a couple months and if it werenāt for us moving on to Arizona, I would of definitely stayed here longer. Deb and Dan, two of the most amazing camp-hosts we have ever met, they helped us out if we ever needed and were super accommodating to our needs and not to forget my brother and his wife. They cook yummy pizza and the food on the menu they provide is soooo good and was so awesome to have on nights that I didnāt want to cook. They even deliver the food to your campsite! I also love that they have a little area in the office to buy food or snack if you forget something and they sell ice cream and ice as well. We felt completely safe here, and I love how they are always maintaining the up-keep with this campground. I could go on and on with my review and could never stop saying how wonderful our stay was, and how awesome our experience was. We would definitely love to go back in the spring. Thanks Deb and Dan for everything! ā¤ļø

What a wonderful campground. Very well kept and fun to walk around. You are right next to train tracks, so be prepared to hear and feel the trains during the night. During the day we saw train enthusiasts running to get pics of trains. You can order pizza in evenings. And they deliver to your camper. The also have a Fantastic breakfast selection with 3 items for $5 delivered to your camper!! We will be back. The sunset over the train tracks were beautiful.

We had an excellent stay here! When we arrived it was in the middle of a heat wave, and we just planned on pitching our tent and hoping we wouldn't suffer too badly - but one of the owners offered us a cabin with air conditioning for the same price as the tent rate, so we wouldn't have to be out in the heat! Excellent service, and the campground offers hot meals for purchase if you'd rather not cook. Lots of friendly people and several cute puppies. Would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed for only one night but I have to say this place is awesome. The wifi is very very good, best I've seen at an RV park. Owner was super friendly. If I were ever passing through, I would definitely stay here again. A train does come by but it's not really an issue, you don't hear it...it white noise. Only draw back is that the roads are dirt, not a big deal to me.

Beautiful scenery. Nice quiet little town with antique shops, a bar, and tons of nature to relax in. We stayed in one of the cabins which was absolutely adorable. Only downside was that it was winter and the little space heater they had in there didn't do much to warm up the cabin. It was definitely a bit cold but we just cuddled up and enjoyed our night close to one another. We are repeat customers and will definitely be back time and time again. We love the location and seclusion away from the big cities and to just enjoy nature and stillness. Very friendly town as well. Everyone is so welcoming.

Really enjoyed my experience here. The owner took exceptional care of us after we broke down on the side of the road a few miles away and had to be towed in. Offered the use of a tool or two I did not have as well as jumping in to help me make some of my repairs. The kindness showed will never be forgotten we shared great conversation and I plan to stop here anytime I am passing in the future. The site was nice and all the hookups I used worked great!

Great place to rest for a night with full hookups and a quiet location. 50 amps for running 2 air conditioners helps beat the 102 degree heat! No problems getting a site at the last minute.
